   Horrible experience & we didn’t even get to eat… The restaurant made a booking error then was insistent it was our fault despite the fact that the staff provided misinformation not TWICE but THREE times. Without realizing my best friend works for a hospitality group herself and understands the relationship between the restaurant and Open Table the staff even tried blaming Open Table. My favourite part was that a staff member called me at 6:08PM to move my reservation from 10 PM to 9:30PM leaving me with 40 minutes to sit & order then was told that ISN’T the their problem their staff made an error. We were refused service point blank. “You’ll not be eating here either way” verbatim is what left the mouth of the “manager” Beth. Furthermore when asking to go and confirm with the chef she said “no. I am the manager you don’t get higher than me” approx 5 minutes prior to a higher up staff member coming out. Whoever was responsible for hiring Beth should 100% be reassigned to a different position after firing her. I’m a reasonable person who also works in services I can understand mistakes and miscommunication but the attitude of this staff is something I’ve never experienced in my 29 years alive. Then to try to use every excuse to make it our faults, I was dumbfounded. Firstly, they didn’t block off Open Table properly thus allowing me to book a 10PM reservation. Secondly, their staff wasn’t informed properly before moving our reservation. Thirdly, using the fact we were waiting for a hostess for 3 minutes as an excuse that we were late for our reservation. Finally, the unkind, disrespectful, unprofessional and egregious fashion in which they conducted business is truly astounding.  The ONLY & I mean ONLY redeeming quality this restaurant has is their server Katie. Katie was so kind and compassionate she truly made a very ugly and distressing situation a little bit better with her professionalism, kindness & general care for her work. Love Katie!

   Can recommend the blackberry ginger mocktail, the squash soup and the parmesan fries (huge portion, enough for 4 to share). Cobb salad wasn't a fave -- not enough dressing and what there was was very bland (tarragon) Good service.

   As always, the food and service are great… Very consistent… Without the patio to be honest the restaurant really lacks ambiance.

   Most beautiful modern relaxed decor, I feel like I’m at a spa. Sunday brunch was perfect - cappuccino, waffle with fresh vanilla whipped cream and strawberries, and the nicest creamy, rich scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. What a gem.

   Attentive service by our wait staff. The food is amazing - large salads and the best penne a la vodka!!! This is a hidden gem - I've lived in the area for a long time and did not know this was here. Will definitely return! I'll qualify the noise level - there was some kind of cocktail course going on - the instructor was yelling - or it seemed that way - out wait staff got permission to close the door to the area they were - which made it much better. Consideration to maybe timing of these events with the opening of the restaurant....

   NOTL's location is perfect. Once you step in premises you immediately feel displaced. They have forced a look and feel that doesn't feel genuine. The menu is very limited and the value is lacking. The staff were very good given what they have to deal with. My wife and I are always looking for that special spot that delivers top value and that does not translate to discount food. It is ambience, feeling welcome, quality of menu, and finally staff. Other than staff NOTL missed on all marks and as such will be be visited by my wife and me again.
