dijon, shallots, fresh herbs, cornichons, gaufrette potatoes
red wine poached pear, walnuts, blue cheese fondue
Delicious as always! We travel from the opposite side of town for our date nights to eat here. Love the food, service is always great, and love the atmosphere!
Great food, good wine list, and Belgium beer. What more could you want.
We had the special Amber Jack...it was amazing great apps waiter was very informational
we look forward to dinning there again !!!
My server Amos was very nice!
All the dishes were delicious this time. The fried green tomatoes were crisp and topped with a delicious chutney of sorts and goat cheese.
Steak tartare was excellent
My filet roquefort was perfect and the truffle fries are always so good!
The fish special which was Wahoo was beautifully presented.
Absolutely phenomenal. The appetizers, soup, and dinner were all amazing. We couldn't have asked for better food, or service. This is a fantastic restaurant. Five stars all the way!
Consistently great dining experience!!
We have never experienced anything but excellent food and service
Great food, brilliant service, a bit expensive but you are paying value for money so I am not complaining :)
WHAT HAPPENED! This has been my go to place for years...until last night. They have obviously, fired their chef/ and or head cook. I didn't recognize the roast chicken as it was just buried under some overcooked broccoli, no sauce, no presentation. I substituted fries for potato puree and they came as a huge mess dumped on the side of my plate. Escargot was overcooked and oily. My friend had a fried oyster salad and it was awful! literally, 3 whole pieces of romain lettuce w the oysters placed on top! It was a huge mess. Oh and BTW not exactly following Covid Protocols so there was also that!
Northshore Brasserie continues to be the best value fine dining restaurant disguising itself as a neighborhood joint in Knoxville.
Although the menu is a little limited, everything we have ever tried (including the specials of the day) are great! The service is also always very good and the iced tea is some of the best in Knoxville!
Keep up the good work!
this was our second visit to Northshore Brasserie, and we found it as wonderful as our first. We indulged in the iron skillet escargot (not a common offering on today's dining scene), and followed with the Duck Mafalda and Steak Tartare - both exquisite ! We paired it all with some Belvedere vodka martini's and a tasty bottle of Bodegas La Cartuja red wine. Fabulous! We'll be back again
Northshore Brasserie is always an excellent experience. Both food and service are on point. The chef will make special dinners for vegetarian, and they have always been delicious. Good social distancing and masking (both front and back of house). Highly recommend whether it's just a dinner out or a special celebration.
Miscues from waitstaff to chef, but compensated in the end.
The food was amazing and service was great! We will definitely be back.
We have been here several times before and were not disappointed this time. It was a (big) birthday for my wife, so we met other friends there.
The service is professional, polite, prompt and friendly without hovering.
The food is always good - although the portions are just a bit too large for our aging tastes. They brought out a birthday dessert for my wife, which was appreciated.
A good, relaxing time during this pandemic mess. (All servers wore masks, and customers were also asked to be masked until eating or drinking.) Tables were spaced appropriately. The restaurant was full.
First time to Northshore Brasserie. Celebrating our 4th Anniversary. Best part was Will, our waiter...he was fun and knowledgeable about all the wines and food offerings...and we did not want to feel rushed. Food was good. Ambiance is acceptable, typical suburban strip mall location. Probably would have felt better about the experience had we come for a regular date-night, without Covid!
We always have a great dining experience at what has become our favorite Knoxville restaurant. Food and service are consistently excellent
We eat here at least once a month and it is always amazing. The Friday fish special is interesting and delicious. We have fallen in love with the Burriata and tomatoes. The waiters are attentive and knowledgeable.
As always, celebrating a special occasion at Northshore Brasserie was a great experience. The food was exceptional and it seems that they have installed new sound absorbent ceiling tiles to help cut back on the background noise, which was an improvement to the ambiance. This is one of our favorite, go-to upscale dining choices in Knoxville and likely the fourth or fifth year in a row that we have celebrated our anniversary there. It is a great place to make a part of any tradition.
Another great dinner. Escargot and mussels and French fries my go to dishes. Wife had the fillet. Cooked to perfection with Brussels sprouts side.
Restaurant was quite full but practicing social distancing. Felt safe. All waitstaff wore face coverings.
Amazing food and service as always. My favorite restaurant in Knoxville.
This restaurant has a great bistro menu, an approachable wine list, great service, and of course.- great food. Try the fried scallop appetizer - crispy and tender with a tasty salad on the side.
Our server, Marty, was very friendly and not on top of us. Yet, he made great recommendations even including samples of wines he thought would pair with our dinners. This is service that sadly is not more common in the US, but here it is the norm.
It is well worth the effort to stop in the strip mall where it sits. Don’t be put off by the location. Brasserie is a true gem!
Our favorite restaurant in the Knoxville area. We have always had consistently excellent service, and the food is excellent. A gem.
Great food and service!
we're always leery of restaurants found in strip malls, but Northshore Brasserie has us re-thinking that - what a fabulous place! We were looking for something a little different in food fare, and this quaint French Bistro came up, with rave reviews, so we ventured out. Started the night with a bottle of Brut Rose (1/2 off !) to go with our Iron Skillet Escargot, and then moved in with some delicious entrees - namely the Mussels Mariniere, and Beef Short Ribs. Fantastic ! We are already planning another trip back...
Good food! Love the beef short ribs- best in town. Chicken and dumplings were good different, but overpriced. Steaks are excellent.
I have always loved this place, but they really disappointed me tonight. Booked a reservation a week ago to celebrate my daughter being accepted into a prestigious scholarship program. We arrived tonight to find a note on the door saying that “out of an abundance of caution” they would be closed until June 30th.
I do understand that things are difficult for everyone right now, but I find it very rude that a restaurant this size couldn’t at least let customers with existing reservations know that they were closed.
The food and service has always been excellent here, but this was pretty unacceptable behavior.
My sincere apologies. We made every effort to contact all reservations. We left messages for those who did not answer. Some voice mail boxes were "full" so we obviously couldn't leave a message. It's an extremely difficult situation for all. Hopefully we can make it up to you!
We always love dining at the Brasserie!! Great, food, service and vibe!!
HAD RESEVATIONS, ARRIVED 15MIN EARLY AND WAS SEATED AS WE ARRIVED.
SERVER WAS THERE AS WE SAT AND ASKED FOR OUR DRINK ORDER. HE WAS VERY EFFICIENT AND LET US TAKE OUR TIME TO LOOK OVER THE MENU. CAME BACK AFTER 5MINS TO EXPLAIN SPECIALS AND TAKE OUR ORDER. FOOD WAS SERVED IN A VERY REASONABLE ABOUT OF TIME. WE WERE NOT RUSHED AND SPENT AT LEAST AN HOUR AND A HALF ENJOYING OUR MEAL. THERE IS NOT A RESTAURANT WHERE I LIVE THAT COMES NEAR THE QUALITY OF FOOD AND SERVICE..WHEN IN KNOXVILLE I WILL CERTAINLY VISIT THE RESTAURANT.
Lance, our server, was exceptional. The oyster appetizer was excellent, and at one dollar apiece, were quite a value. And then we had the fried oyster salad-soooo good. I had the steak au poivre, which I’ve had there before and I loved. However, that night, it was served warm and not hot, and it had a streak of tendon running through it which made it a struggle to enjoy. Too bad because I loved it the first time I had it there. My wife’s trout was excellent and we passed on desert. In all, it was a fun meal and we enjoyed it and will return. And I’ll try the steak-one more time.
Just about our favorite overall restaurant. Never had a bad experience there.
The food was absolutely amazing! Our waiter was outstanding and very helpful! Never ran out of anything! One of the best meals I have ever had! Will definitely be back for round two.
Our favorite neighborhood restaurant!
Excellent all the way around, as usual!!!
Still one of the finest restaurants in Knoxville! We were very impressed and comfortable with the spacing of the tables. All of the wait staff wore masks and handled everything properly. The ambiance was the Northshore Brasserie's usual lively self! The food was the freshest we have had dining out the new normal. The crab cakes and the french onion soup were simply delicious! My husband had the trout, I had the salmon and I must say, both dishes were outstanding! If you are looking for fine and fabulous food, Northshore Brasserie is the place!!
