   Another excellent lunch at the Northbrook Arms. Very busy which was good to see. But despite the business the service was excellent. The food was as good as always. Good big helpings and very tasty. Delighted to see a selection of ‘Pots’ beers on draft.

   We had a good evening rather than an excellent one, which is very frustrating. The food , wine and beers were excellent. The staff are charming, but it seemed to me they were at least one person short for a Friday night, which meant we had to wait a long time to be offered a drink and then for the drinks to arrive. The guy playing the guitar in the main bar could have played an acoustic set without the need for amplification more suited to a venue 8 times the size.Both of my issues can be very easily resolved.

   What a superb venue for Sunday lunch, lovely pub with great staff and fantastic food. Very highly recommended.

   Another great visit to The Northbrook Arms. A warm welcome from the manager, very friendly helpful staff and great food. Never fails to delight.

   Feel good vibes only - We are extremely lucky to have this delightful country pub on our doorstep. We Just tried the lunch menu today. Another outstandingly tasty feast, for the eyes and the belly! We Love this relaxed but very attentive service, We hate being rushed. They have this just right. Highly recommend the Venison, Bacon and Mushroom pie. Cod and Parsley Fishcake topped with Poached egg, was sublime. A hidden Gem! pst ... don't tell too many people !!

   Great food and service . Wish that The dining area felt a less different from the lovely old pub area, but this does not detract from the overall great experience.

   The location is excellent with a fantastic beer garden and dining area. The bar area is too small and crowded. The issue with this restaurant is that it is open to everyone to walk through so you spend your time eating with fairly tight table arrangements with people walking through from the bar to the courtyard past your table. To make this worse, there are only two toilets (which are mixed use) located in the restaurant, which everyone uses, so when this venue is busy, it is often not a very nice place to be. Overall, the food was poor. My main consisted of mash and cabbage with a poorly cooked pork chop, tbf it took me back to the 70s. The staff are ok but we were repeatedly getting asked the same questions by different staff members! The reality is they have crowded the bar and restaurant into two tiny spaces and lost the rest of the pub area because they turned that into a B&B or the like which seems strange to me but I assume it is all down to the money coming in from renting it out but by doing that lost what could be the making of the venue. We will only use this venue for drinks in future, the garden is a sun trap and excellent. The restaurant is not an ambient place to eat (which it should be) because they are trying to do too much in there!
