North Shore Tavern was terrific. Food was excellent (Steak on a Stone) was a real treat. Kids thought I’d was a cool concept. JD our waitstaff was outstanding. He went above & beyond the call of duty.😊

The food here was overall good. Everyone who got the steak on the Stone seem to like it although it was a lot of work. The location here is very convenient to the North Shore PNC Park and downtown. However, we went there for dinner before the fireworks and it took our food over an hour to come out. Our reservation was at 8 o’clock and we didn’t get our food until close to 930. our plans to see the fireworks were ruined.

I know it was Fourth of July and they were likely short-staffed but it took 2+ hours to get our food (we got served after people who had a reservation 30 minutes after us) and no-one on the staff, including the manager on duty, showed us an ounce of compassion or regret for the many errors they made (including lying to us about where our ticket was in the kitchen). In fact, they made it feel like we were the ones who were at fault for asking for our food. Once we got our food it was clear it was not cooked fresh right before it came out, as if it had been sitting. Again I understand that it was a Holiday, but the lack of communication, and even unprofessionalism, from the staff made it a truly horrible dining experience.

We enjoy the Steak on a Stone very much! I had mine with scallops and the scallops were high quality and delicious! Service was great. We never felt rushed. We will be back.

First visit but won’t be the last! Steak on a stone was awesome. Loved the pickle pizza and broccoli bacon side salad. Highly recommend North Shore Tavern!
