North Point Kitchen + Bar opened in 2023 by the Gilbert family, lifelong residents to the Chicago Northwest Suburbs. Chef and owner Joel Gilbert decided after years of searching for the perfect location that he was going to begin his journey with his first brick and mortar restaurant on the most Northern Point of Forest Lake, in Lake Zurich Illinois. After years of working and running restaurant establishments and working with his company Butter & biscuit Co. at local farmers markets, Joel has established great friendships and partnerships with some of the best local farmers. Joel took this opportunity to use the best seasonal products for his Italian inspired cuisine. Come enjoy the beautiful sunsets on our outdoor patio overlooking Forest Lake, or enjoy a table in our panoramic indoor patio, year round.

I was hesitant to go at first because the menu was limited but I really loved everything I ordered! Food was delicious and we sat outside and the view was so pretty and relaxing. Sitting inside would have been nice as well, nice little dining area and a large bar. We will be back!

This is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurant. It never disappoints. Cocktails were great, wedge salad , shrimp pesto bucatini pasta and smash burger were outstanding. Our food couldn't have come out any quicker. Love this place.

Brace yourself when you walk in. Glimmering out of the wall 2 wall windows is the beautiful Forest Lake and it is a stunning entrance. The servers were excellent and the chef is very talented. I asked for a vegan option and he created a gorgeous and hearty salad for me. We ate on the outside patio under an umbrella and it was absolutely ideal for a father's day lunch. The music was a little loud on the inside (but mainly because a few in our party were hard of hearing) -- and the outside ambience was summer perfect. This is my new favorite place to go!

Northpoint never disappoints. Tanner and Carrie make delicious cocktails. They are friendly and personable mixologists. The food is delicious! our group. If four had the burger with a side salad, grilled cheese with chicken and Parmesan fries, and summer Mac and cheese. Everyone loved their meal.
