North Point Kitchen + Bar opened in 2023 by the Gilbert family, lifelong residents to the Chicago Northwest Suburbs. Chef and owner Joel Gilbert decided after years of searching for the perfect location that he was going to begin his journey with his first brick and mortar restaurant on the most Northern Point of Forest Lake, in Lake Zurich Illinois. After years of working and running restaurant establishments and working with his company Butter & biscuit Co. at local farmers markets, Joel has established great friendships and partnerships with some of the best local farmers. Joel took this opportunity to use the best seasonal products for his Italian inspired cuisine. Come enjoy the beautiful sunsets on our outdoor patio overlooking Forest Lake, or enjoy a table in our panoramic indoor patio, year round.

Northpoint never disappoints. Tanner and Carrie make delicious cocktails. They are friendly and personable mixologists. The food is delicious! our group. If four had the burger with a side salad, grilled cheese with chicken and Parmesan fries, and summer Mac and cheese. Everyone loved their meal.

Went for dinner, and we had a table at the window with a pleasant view of the lake however it was very hard to talk between ourselves as it was very loud. I would go back for lunch as it isn’t as loud then. Also, they should consider putting cushions on the metal chair seats for comfort. Menu is small and I think has stayed the same since opening, might be good to offer “specials” that change periodically to keep their food offerings interesting. I would recommend the hot honey chickens sandwich. Salmon was cooked well but could have had a little more sauce. The pork entree was quite large. Server was attentive.

As always - food was excellent and servers were knowledgeable and friendly. Only downside is the noise level in the room - extremely loud. They need something on the walls/ceiling to help absorb the noise.

The service and the food are always excellent and I love the view of the small lake along with a beautiful sunset. Just love this place. Mark and Sue.

Beautiful setting and charming ambiance - with a cute interior and patio on a pretty lake. Interesting and delicious (small) menu, yet it's still hard to choose! Our group each loved their choice... pizza, burger, chicken sandwich and rigatoni are all recommended. We also loved our drinks - an old fashioned, espresso martini and Quilt wine.
