This place is absolutely amazing, from the service to the food & cocktails. It’s our new fav spot in Louisville. The menu has a lot of options for everyone and we should know, we were here 3 times in one weekend because we wanted to try more. Every dish was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. The brown butter-washed old fashioned is perfection, and incredibly priced on the happy hour menu. We only wish we were here longer to try more!

Fabulous, delicious seafood. The baked oyster special with red bean puree was divine. Shrimp Scampi was creative and so tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant. There’s 6 pages of whiskey.

Wonderful meal! I booked this restaurant for a group of 8. I was visiting Louisville for business and wanted to try a new restaurant for a business meal. The food was exquisite. We ordered several appetizers to share for the table: - Pork Boudin balls - Scallop cerviche tostada (special) - Crispy Andouille sausage - Catfish nuggets -Buttermilk salad For entrees, we ordered the Scallopine, Pork Chop, Duck gumbo and the rabbit. Everything was amazing but the standouts were the Crispy Andouille, Catfish and the Pork Chop. The specialty Old Fashions were great too. Service was on it - they were very attentive and accommodating. The only downside (very minor) was the place is small so we sat in the far back and it was a bit tight. Still, I will be coming back for sure. It's now one of my favorite Louisville restaurants. Well done!

We've visited over 30 times in 2 years!!! My husband and I counted ... since early 2023, we have had over 30 reservations at North of Bourbon combined. So to say this is our favorite restaurant is an understatement. The first time we visited, we'd just learned about the awards NOB was receiving for their incredible food...we went for lunch and came back for dinner the next week. Here's why we love it: - The food, of course, is delicious. Catfish nuggets are 100% on our table every visit...this week, we shared with one of the owners, Eric (sadly, a Cowboys fan), that each time we visit and try one of the new menu items (seasonal menus), we're blown away by what chef has created. - The drinks are delicious. The Get Buttered old-fashioned is a favorite for sure...but so is the NOB! - The team is amazing. The casual feel of the place won us over the first time we came in - classy, yes, but can I also show up in a tee shirt and jeans? Absolutely. The team is attentive but also leaves you alone when it's clear there's great conversation going on . They'll be sarcastic / joke around if you will but also recognize when that may not be the feel of the table. Eric is always a highlight of our visit - he's an authentic human who cares about his team, the customers and will often be seen bussing tables, hosting and running drinks while also supporting a caring for his team. All that to say...our next visit will be soon...Love this place!

Great spot, drinks and Decor. The cat fish was really greasy and fishy- was delicious when I had it another night.
