North Italia - Tysons
Food is fantastic. The ambiance is very cool and hip. I will definitely return.
The waitress seemed detached, uninterested and ill informed. The food was greasy and tasteless. The bill was $30 each and this was for lunch with a sandwich, two appetizers and a soda in total.
Food was ok but pricey for the quality. Service was great.
Excellent wait and management staff. They were supper attentive and very hard working. Unfortunately, my food arrived cold but was immediately taken care of. The food is not traditional, nor northern italian, but more like a modern fusion and take. This threw me but won’t keep me from returning.
Enjoyable meal, nice lively setting. Would go back
You would expect servers to craft a tale to describe a menu in a setting and price point of this caliber. Instead, we were pushed a reserve wine list with no discussion of the menu or its highlights. The server was polite and met all the major wickets of service. However, a restaurant that makes its own pasta and hand-crafted drinks should tell the tale and create a dinning experience rather than just taking orders and delivering food. On the subject of food...we decided to opt for apps and drinks. Both were exceptional and the price tag was fairly consistent with what you expect for Tyson’s. Working out the service side of the house, and it’s sales technique, would create the value proposition that long-term, repeat customers desire. Pretty good overall with the possibility to be a great dining experience!
I love this place! Their happy hour was great - we got bottles of wine for $16/each or $5/glass. We got a few of their HH apps which were so tasty - their truffle garlic bread was insane.
The service & ambience is what made it extra special. Our server was extremely accommodating and made our experience super memorable. We were there for a team dinner and she stayed on top of everything throughout.
Everyone was extremely kind about my large service dog. I had requested a booth as it's easiest to keep him out of the way and they set us up at the most ideal table to make my experience more comfortable.
I got the tortelloni which was just a little more al dente than I would like, but overall still super yummy. A friend got the bolognese which she really loved.
The food was amazing, finally a new Italian option in Tysons. The Burrata appetizer was delicious also the Arancinis. The main courses where superb we order the Short Rib pasta and the Bolognese and pasta was super tasty and freshly made. The Hazelnut dessert was the perfect ending for our meal. Definitely we will be back soon. Service was excellent as well, from the moment we walked in until we left.
Delicious food and excellent service.
Overall was a great evening and we enjoyed everything, including desert! However, some recommendations would be:
- Put some more space between tables, too close to neighboring diners, felt unnecessarily cramped.
- Acoustics are bad, it is very loud. Some damping would be an easy add to make for a more enjoyable experience.
- i had the striped bass over vegetables. Dial back the olive oil, butter and salt. It was way too much of both in the fish and veggies.
- Olive oil and lemon should be made a part of the carpaccio, not something one should ask for.
Thanks for a good evening. Looking forward to some tweaks :)
Everything was delicious and service was fantastic!! Love the ambiance as well!
Great place. Delicious food. Awesome service! Fyi park in the whole foods parking lot they validate.
The space is very nice. The staff are also very nice, but a little new and distracted. The food was very good. We had the roasted cauliflower, the arugula and avocado salad, the bolognese, and finished with the salted caramel custard. Will definitely go back.
the food was very good, as was the service. however, it was quite loud, since our table was near the bar area. for any subsequent visits I would want to be seated some distance from the bar area, unless you erect a noise barrier between the bar and the dining area.
EVERYTHING was SUPER salty, and ordered a bunch of small plates/appetizers and entrees, so we tried a pretty decent part of the menu. The food would’ve been great if wasn’t so over-salted. Drinks were great though. Service was amazing from the entire staff.
Appetizers (soup/salad/etc.) should come before the main course instead of with it.
North Italia - Tysons is a chain restaurant. It is still very new and ambiance is very good. I would recommend it to a friend. We shared cauliflower for appetizer. It was pretty tasty. I ordered pizza as my dinner entree, which is $18, but nothing special. My wife ordered squid ink pasta. It came with red hot source and it is not what we expected.
This is a great new addition to the neighborhood. The food was excellent and the service very attentive. We will definitely be back.
this is the third North Italia location we have visited. it did not disappoint. in fact, it may well be the best yet!!
Birthday. Nicely done.
The staff was phenomenal! The manager Stephanie was very accommodating and happy. The food was “ok” pizza was too salty, most items were oily and fried. The ambiance was very good. Over all the place was great, I’d go back. I do wish there were more vegetarian options and healthier options. The service was so great- I’ll plan my next event there
Great location in Boro Place across from new movie complex. Enjoyed pizza, meatball subs and salads for lunch.
Need longer validation in garage.
This restaurant is attractive, but the lack of any soft surfaces makes for a loud dining experience. The food is not really northern Italian, noting that pizzas are foods that originate in Sicily and southern Italy. It seemed there was a heavy emphasis on pastas, which were fresh, but not the emphasis of northern Italian cuisines. I expected ragus, polenta, risotti that are not fried (!), delicious combinations of meats and delicate sauces, herbs, and spices. If this restaurant had had a different name, I might have been inclined to give it a better review, for example, had it been named a more general Italian name. My mother, who remembers living in northern Italy, said the food was "peasant food", and I do not disagree. Maybe if the menu gets tweaked some it will improve. Adding soft surfaces would help, too.
Fantastic place for an anniversary dinner/date night/romantic evening. Our server was very sweet and made sure we had a lovely time. The pasta is phenomenal and so were the drinks. Will be back :)
Good was excellent and service was great. When we were almost done a family with 4 children was seated next to us and they were well behaved but it still made it hard to hear. Will definitely go back and highly recommend!
Nice restaurant kinda has an upscale Olive Garden feeling with a modern vibe good food & wine pairings
Interesting and different menu while still having traditional favorites. My group (3 people) thoroughly enjoyed appetizers (zuchinni chips and beef carpaccio) and entrees (pasta Bolognese, striped bass and chicken Parm) as well as one dessert and after dinner drinks.
I had the sea bass which was served hot, moist on the perfectly moist on the inside and with a little grilled crisp on the outside very good. We also shared the vegetable salad which was very good. I hope they add a vegetarian entree to the menu
Food is great. Wine perfect! Short in options for Valentine's Day. You had no choice to choose the 3-concourse menu, and it may be too much food for dinner!
Great experience, lovely atmosphere. Wonderful lun h on Valentine's Day
We went to celebrate a Birthday for my son. Host’s and server were great. Loved the pizza! 2 ppl did not love the meatballs but I thought they were actually good—and even took them home! Server brought out those donuts for my sons bday and they were amazing! We will definitely be back!
First time visiting as they just opened last week. Great experience and worth all the hype! Server was very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, had the French Toast for brunch and it was delicious!! Will certainly come back for happy hour and dinner soon!
Me and a friend went opening night in Tyson's Corner. The service was prompt and excellent overall especially for opening night, The food was excellent! We both had the Chicken Parm and it was very tasty. Prices are a little high but that comes with the location. Alcohol prices are little excessive. Overall and great experience . We'll be back to try the pizza next.
