North Italia - Reston
Food was laughably bad. Wine was the kind where you pay $50 for an $6 bottle you could get a Trader Joes. Our server however was extremely good. I guess if you like good service and dont mind bland overpriced food then go here?
Good food but not great food. Good value on the wines.
Our table wasn't great as every time the doors opened, we got all the cold air - not sure how to fix that but it was somewhat bothersome. Other than that, food was great!
North Italia is the best Italian restaurant located in Reston, VA. The fresh made pasta is superb and the chicken parm is so yummy. The white truffle garlic bread is to die for. Have also tried the spaghetti and meatballs and the bolognese and both are excellent. The Bombolini Donuts are the best dessert. I have tried a couple of beers so far and was not really impressed with selection available. All the servers are extremely nice and very attentive. The place is always crowded so best to make a reservation.
This restaurant never disappoints - food & service always excellent!
Wonderful dinner, everyone enjoyed their meal and our server was very helpful and friendly
Great atmosphere and service. Food was excellent. The Bar area is also very nice with great bartenders
The food and service were great. Will definitely go back again.
hostess was great working with us adding an extra person and a few people running late. Table service was fair... not attentive, didn't clear off first course plates, offer more cocktails...I had to ask. Chicken parmesan is usually fantastic..was fair. Salmon always exceptional. Salads good. Really should put a bread basket on the table and not charge...
The food was great, especially the pizza! I would have liked the experience better if the music was turned down a little since it made everyone talk much louder instead, even to the people at your own table. Overall, I was pleased considering that it is a new restaurant!
We all really enjoyed our meals and our desserts. Specifically the short rib dinner and the pistachio gelato...amazing!!!
I am sorry to say that I would have enjoyed this restaurant more if they didn’t post the calorie content on the menu. Nearly impossible to enjoy a meal there for under 2000 calories—which will be the reason I don’t return. As an accomplished home cook, I know that many of these dishes are delicious with half the calories. Not sure why they gratuitously add so many more :(
I thought the prices were reasonable, but when I asked the waitress’s help in choosing among entrees, instead of telling about them she only offered up-sales: “I like to add this to that”...not, “this is good because... and it pairs well with...”. As a foodie, I found the mismatch between food and service disappointing.
Everything was perfect! Food was very good and service was excellent. Will be going back soon!
We only had the calamari, which was cut too thin and you only tasted the batter, and the pizza which was made with a terrible dough and came out stiff again, tasteless. Service was excellent.
Food was ok
Clearly the best new restaurant in Reston. We've been there several times now. The food is modern Italian and innovative, with a very interesting menu. Staff is friendly and efficient. North Italia already has become one of our regular restaurants.
It is fine, though noisy and our waiter seemed to be distracted or overwhelmed by the next table where she was dealing with a group of 6 (not that many really). Food is tasty, but very heavy, even salads were between 800 and 1,400 calories, while entrees were closer to 2,000. Maybe that’s what North Italian food always is, heavy on cream and pancetta, you enjoy it while you eat, you suffer later :-)
Food was very good service not so much. Salad came before appetizer and dinner came cold.
It was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and a solid portion. We had a lovely anniversary dinner. No joke - all of the food was fantastic and handmade. I recommend the bolognese and tiramisu!
Great meal and great customer experience as always.
Quality of ingredients was and service was excellent. Pizza crust was not up to the quality toppings. Crust was heavy and oily so I ate the toppings only.
Not the North Italia I’m used to (Austin and Phoenix). Service was OK, appetizers were good but $29 for a piece of fish less that was less than 3 oz. and scallops over lumpy risotto, not good. We will go back because we know that there are better items on the menu. It may be awhile.
We had a great time! The salmon was especially amazing. Portions were good and the service was attentive. We will be back.
Excellent— one of our favorite restaurants!
Perfect place for a family brunch. I especially liked the delicious appetizers (burrata, truffle garlic breads and soup of the day)
Portions were small but good and the restaurant acoustics are super loud so that was annoying
The food was amazing. I got Bolognese, and my wife got the Diver Scallops; both were amazing! Our dessert was great too! Great for an occasion!
Excellent service. Scrumptious food. Perfect ambiance.
The zucca chips, calamari, and chicken parm cannot be beat!!
North is easily one of my favorite restaurants.
Great food and love the decor and ambiance. Wait staff professional and knowledgeable- reminds me of home and will return
It was. Rey nice. Except my husband ordered a bottle of wine. When the server opened the wine, he poured a glass of it for my daughter and myself then my husband. No taste was offered to my husband prior. That was a first for all of us
Great waiter, food was incredible! Wonderful experience!
Our server was very nice and she was attentive. The salted caramel busing was good.
The food is just ok. The sliced chicken in the pasta pesto dish seemed like it came in a store bought packet with fake grill marks. The burrata is just out of a Bel Gioso container not imported nor made in-house. The pasta was over cooked.
When our appetizer utensils were removed with the plates, our entrees arrived and we were then brought new forks only, not knives.
The whole experience could be a lot better.
Delicious food with delightful ambience!
My wife’s 50th birthday.
They would not honor open table rewards
Absolutely the best Italian Restaurant!! Can't wait for the Tysons Corner location to open!
Great food, good service.
North Italia is my go to restaurant for business lunch / meetings
North Italia was recommended by a friend so I decides to try it out. The chicken pesto was really good and so was the short rib. Def worth the drive from DC for me. I'm already planning my next visit.
Great food! Service was pretty good too considering how busy it was...
