North Italia - Reston
At North, we set the standard for crave-worthy by serving delicious handmade food daily. Our chefs use only the freshest ingredients to create Italian dishes that consistently satisfy. Enjoy pastas made from scratch daily. Favorites like Bolognese and Chicken Parm. And unexpected bites that go above beyond, like savory Zucca Chips and White Truffle Garlic Bread. Plus an assortment of house-made cocktails, expertly curated wine, and local craft beers that will beckon you to relax, sip and savor every moment you are here.
Excellent addition to the Reston dining offerings, nice location with clever and open decor. The menu and the wine list are carefully limited in scope, offer good value and are well curated. Thank heavens this is not another one size fits all Italian place.
Good food in a comfortable setting accompanied by great service, a hearty welcome to the neighborhood goes out to the North Italia team. Looking forward to our next visit!
Round Up to 4 Stars! Foods are in general valued & delicious. Place is brand new, clean w/ attentive services. Would repeat & Recommend it!
Much too noisy. Felt like a glorified cafeteria. Service was excellent.
Amazing food and service!
Our server, Waad, was personable, attentive and polite. The entire staff helped out each other, which on a busy Friday night is key. The music (Techno/House) really is not our taste for dining and it was on the loud side. We will definitely be back - the bombadini were amazing!
Great food.and variety
We really enjoyed my husband’s birthday dinner at North Italia! The service, food, and ambiance were all outstanding!
Great except for the salt level with the pastas. Way overly seasoned which took away from the dishes.
Great Italian food! Bolognese and short ribs were really good thins up!
We plan to go back again. Told many friends about it. Disappointed when the winewe selected was not available and we got stuck paying $30.00 more for a bottle. We feel we should have gotten that bottle for the same price.
They’re still working out the kinks. Our food (2pizzas) took almost 50 minutes to come after ordering.
North Italia has only been open a week. They are doing an awesome job so far. Very attentive staff. I was very delighted that the service, food, and ambiance was spectacular. I had short rib over pasta in a wonderful cheese cream sauce. My co-worker had chicken parmesan. Both portions were a good size. We also had arancini for an appetizer and it was delicious! We tried both the white and red sangria and both were tasty. Finished off with a large portion of tiramisu and pistachio gelato...yum! Will definitely be returning!
The restaurant is quite noisy and so it's hard to hear one's companions. The food is good, however.
My chicken Parm was not as good as it was at the soft opening- not thin enough. Needed more sauce.
The decibel level at 6:30 on a Tuesday eve was a tad deafening so made it hard to talk to friends . They ran out of donuts for dessert .
But the meatballs remain absolutely delicious as does the pizza margarita . Service was little slow but wait staff are new and the restaurant very crowded so we understand.
Amazing fresh Italian food! Huge play here in the Reston area. Entire table was in love with our server David and the food served. Wine list could use some work, but overall this will be a place I will attend Lunch & Dinner often!
Great scallops and the best pasta Bolognese. Terrific staff.
Our server was very good but they delivered other people meals to our table twice. But the place is brand new and the staff is learning. The food was very good as well as the atmosphere. I will definitely come back again and try another pasta or fish entree. The pasta is all fresh and made in house!
Good selection of cocktails and craft beers.Zucca chips, calamari, even the grilled bread with olive oil , they are all good. We had Prosciutto pizza,Pesto chicken, also good,Strozzapreti, braised short ribs are excellent. Now, the grilled white striped bass is on the bland side, like they almost forgot to season it and left a burnt taste in your mouth. But overall for a newly opened restaurant, service was good, wait staff is on point.
Great spacing of the seating; Scott was excellent, and the food was very well done. Thank you.
Great location at the town center fountain, modern, crisp decor and design -why can’t Reston get a good , even average restaurant here? Pizza was OK, tangy, tart sauce, wildly overpriced at $15 for a ten inch Margarita pie. Everything was over salted. I know restaurants liberally salt food in order to encourage selling drinks. However, North takes it to the point of inedible.
Fried calamari ($15) came to the table with an oily, crystalline, slightly sweet coating that shattered when bitten, leaving not even a taste of calamari. Made me wonder if it was actually part of the dish. Came with an oil and SALT drenched arugula side.
Vegetable salad ($14) had no visible vegetables. Riced cauliflower, oranges (not clementines) cut in exactly 4 mini pieces, some raisins. This salad would benefit from a chunkier presentation.
Great, well prepared, serving staff and front desk hosts.
Maybe things will improve after the opening shakedown period. Hope it does not take too long.
Service was great! Food was delicious! I like that they have outside seating.
I wanted to love this new place. The food is just okay considering the pricing. They are charging luxury prices for a cafeteria atmosphere. The alcoholic drinks were delicious and made up for some things, but were also too expensive.
Salad was mediocre...and priced too high...certainly when compared with Jacksons...portion much smaller and not as good. Wait staff was attentive. Decor was attractive...but noise level high. Not sure if I would recommend.
Went on opening day and was amazed on their preparedness and friendliness. The food was amazing and so was the ambiance!
Great addition to the restaurant scene in Reston. Much needed Italian addition
Nice ambiance and great location. Food is okay, nothing espectacular except the deserts. Server was kinda rookie. He never offered water, someone else did. He didn't know well the wine list and he brought a clean glass for my second beer only to leave the empty glass on the table. First Italian restaurant I have visited that did not offer bread and olive oil with grated cheese/black pepper.
