I brought my family here and and the service was incredible. Food was delicious and came out in a decent time. Will be recommending this place
Good food and nice wait staff. Beautiful restaurant!
Great service, great food. Wine list is a little expensive but wine was top notch !
Our server AJ was outstanding. We went w/all her recommendations and they were wonderful/delicious.
Keep AJ, we will be sure to ask for her when we return next week
Our waitress AJ was fantastic!! She definitely made our dining experience excellent! We would want her again when we visit again.
Went here for a fun date for something different and the food was outstanding!! The service was incredible! No complaints what so ever. Perfect for a special occasion.
This was the most authentic pasta I have encountered so far in terms of Italian food in Birmingham. It was refreshing to taste the textures and spices of something crafted so well!
Delicious and great atmosphere!
This was my first visit. I ordered from the brunch menu and it was delicious…eggs, bacon, and hash browns. My husband had chicken parmigiana and pasta. All the food was very good!
The wait staff was pleasant and provided good service. However, the speed of service was poor, took forever to get food. Once it arrived the food quality was poor, pasta was cold and the chicken parmigiana was over cooked. Not a good experience.
Great food, service was a little slow, & cocktail prices a little high. Even with the two criticisms, I would recommend it and will go back.
Salads were amazing. Great waiter. We made a reservation for 3 on a Tuesday at 5:15 bc there were not a lot of later times available.
The adult beverages were cold, the service was impeccable, and the food was delicious! Everything we were looking for. Can’t wait to go back!
Our waitress Honesty was delightful! She was full of great suggestions and helped us make all our selections. Our table of four loved the garlic bread, the Classico chef’s board, the vodka pasta, the fig prosciutto pizza, and both the short rib dishes. The Italian butter cake, the donuts, and the hazelnut torta were outstanding. We will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed this restaurant. They offered a great menu, full service bar and the restaurant was calm and comfortable. We will be back for sure.
Menu is original and creative. Service was exceptional. Definitely will return!
Beautiful new restaurant! Warm welcome when we walked in and were promptly shown to our table. Lovely tables, linens, plates, etc. Terrific menu choices, and my husband and I were both delighted with our lunch selections. Portions were excellent (more than we could each eat), food was delicious, and our server was fantastic.
We have already recommended North Italia to friends and plan to go back with several in a few weeks. Oh...and it was my son and his family who recommended this restaurant to us!
Good was fabulous!! Nothing but divine from appetizers to dessert! A great addition for the Birmingham restaurants. Would recommend it to everyone who enjoys good food!
Mediocre food at above market pricing. Slow service, but that is the nature of the beast due to staffing, so you can’t hit them for that. The best way to describe the experience: It’s an average restaurant charging above average prices.
Everything was good. The food was good. Portions are a little small for the price. We did order the grilled bread and it never came out. Wife asked for a salad instead after we already had our main course and that still took a little while to come out. Our desert was sort of the same, but the manager did bring it out and because it took longer to come out he did remove it from the bill. The place is great snd everyone was super nice, just a little on the slow side to get food and portions are a little small.
Server and manager were very rude. Terrible experience.
Went to brunch. Service was terrible and unbelievably slow for a restaurant barely at 30% capacity. The waitress could hardly be bothered. My chicken in my salad was undercooked and drinks came out after the meal.
Outstanding food! Looking forward to next time. Would make the trip just for the truffle bread and butter cake.
Excellent artisan pizza too. Thank you for a yummy experience.
I had eaten lunch here a few months ago...Lunch had larger and tastier portions...The salmon was very salty at dinner with no sauce...I will try again for lunch...but dinner was disappointing...though the service was good and manager eager to please
overall very enjoyable brunch - friendly service - flavorful food and great atmosphere - will definitely spread the word about this place and shall return soon - reasonably priced as well
I really was not that impressed with the food. My short rib brunch dishes was average. The short ribs were chewy and flavorless. Either the short ribs were not braised long enough or it was chuck roast. The second dish was a margarita pizza; however, the name should be a regular cheese pizza with a sprinkle of basil. The pizza crust was soggy and tasteless.
Not planning a return to this restaurant anytime soon.
It was lovely as per usual!
They have chicken and/or shrimp Alfredo available just not advertised on the menu.
Emma was amazing. We had a wonderful time. Will definitely visit again.
We were seated quickly, ordered our drinks and appetizers,- excellent tasting and plating. Entrees were delicious. They gave a good amount of time between each course so you could finish one just as they brought the next. Will definitely go back again
Fantastic service and awesome food. My daughter chose here for her birthday lunch based on previous reviews. She was NOT disappointed. Real, Italian food! We will definitely be back.
Waitress was phenomenal. Food was fantastic.
Phenomenal food and service. Such a clean place & beautiful interior!
Staff was very attentative. Food was as ordered and came out in a timely manner. Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, we did kind of feel rushed to turn the table. We were there on a Monday, non holiday time and there were plenty of open tables/seats.
We’ve been to North Italia Birmingham several times and generally have a good experience. Once we were seated on 10/23/21, it was clear that we walked into some sort of drama between some of the waitresses, and maybe the manager. We overheard one waitress cursing to another waitress about whatever was going on. There were kids around and even if there weren’t, for the price and atmosphere that NI exudes, it leads customers to think they’re in for a customer-centered meal and ambiance. This was not the case on 10/23/21. As for the meal… my husband’s salmon was sorely undercooked (it must have jumped right out of the water and onto his plate; he requested medium well) and my $4 coffee was never refilled. It wasn’t worth the ordeal it seems it would have taken to ask for more *fresh* coffee. I asked for sugar (fake sweetener=brain tumors) and the waitress said we don’t have any then followed up with “I don’t know anything, I just work here.” Pull it together, NI! You place yourselves at a higher standard. When you attract couples who have arranged a babysitter and want to enjoy a date night, and of all the amazing places to eat in town, we choose you, then we expect a near-perfect experience from the moment we walk in, through every exchange with wait staff, through every bite, and until we walk out. We will give it another try but just to be safe, we will not sit near the kitchen. The drama was too distracting!
Not the best service and food a bit overpriced but it was delicious
It was a birthday celebration for a friend. The staff couldn’t have been kinder and the menu was varied and delicious. We agreed it was one of our best birthday lunch celebrations.
Lunch offered plenty of options. Salads and sandwiches were very good.
Excellent food and service! Because of a busy day, we wanted to eat after a concert, and NI was one of the few restaurants open til 10. A wonderful end to our day!
Had a fabulous experience here Tuesday night. Food, service all terrific. Last night the reverse. Food wasn’t great. Ordered the scallops and the risotto was cold and sweet. Not to our taste at all. Wonder how long it sat on the counter before delivered to our table. Service was outrageously slow. Will give it another shot another time. Hopefully they are working on the kinks!
