   This was our first time to North Italia, and we went to the Henderson location. We were celebrating our son’s college graduation. It was quite busy. While we waited to be seated, my husband went to get me a glass of wine, but the bartender chatted with another customer the whole time he stood there waiting. We were seated and just waited to order a drink with our server, which still took quite a bit of time after ordering it. We finally placed our food order. My husband and I ordered an appetizer to share and an entree to share, which we told the server we were sharing. The other appetizers that our group ordered came out, but ours did not. When asked, our server said it was coming out with our entree. I didn’t think to say we wanted the appetizers first nor were we asked. Our beef carpaccio tasted fine, but it stuck to the plate, which made it difficult to roll. Our entrees took a long time after the other appetizers were served. My mom sat facing the kitchen. She could see her pizza sitting under the warmer for awhile. When the entrees came out, one was still missing. The server came over and explained that the missing entree mistakenly went to another table and that they were making a fresh one. As soon as our server said this, the entree showed up. The scallops were lukewarm. We were assured that it was a fresh plate, but something seemed wrong. Risotto was hot, but the scallops were not. Other than that, the suggested tip chart at the bottom of the receipt is based off the total with tax and not the subtotal. First time we have ever seen that.

   I was genuinely excited to try this place for the first time. I’ve heard nothing but great things and had high expectations going in, especially since we were celebrating my birthday. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of what I had hoped for. From the moment we walked in, the vibe just wasn’t welcoming. The first hostess didn’t greet us — she just kind of looked at us until I mentioned we had a reservation. Only then did she become slightly more pleasant. The woman who walked us to our table was kind, and another staff member brought our waters, but our actual server was just okay. I requested a very standard modification to my dish (something I’ve done at plenty of Italian restaurants without issue), but our server reacted with a visible expression of confusion and silence that made the whole thing awkward. Even my mom and brother commented on her reaction. Service overall was slow — it took a long time for our food to arrive and we were hardly checked on during our meal. Because of that, we didn’t bother raising any concerns with the staff. We were hungry, didn’t want to spend even more time waiting on new food, and didn't want to deal with back and forth for the occasion. The food was edible, but disappointing. For the price and reputation, we expected far better quality. All of our pastas were overcooked and arrived lukewarm. It honestly felt like the food was pre-made and reheated, which might explain the reaction I got when I asked for a modification. And despite noting in our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, there was no acknowledgment at all. Most places offer a small gesture — here, there was nothing. Whether that was a communication issue or just oversight, it was extremely disappointing. I really wanted to love this place, but my family and I walked away feeling like the experience was just not worth it — not for a special occasion, and not even for a casual night out.

   Overall just under mid. Overpriced, boring plain gentrified look inside, wait staff is basically useless, and the food is worse than Olive Garden. To top it off the “suggested gratuity is based off total with rip, which is a sure sign of a greedy, underwhelming establishment.

   Where do I begin? We booked a reservation for Mother's Day and boy are we glad we did. It was super busy. Despite the amount of people who were there, our waitress was really helpful and had great recommendations. I was a tad worried there wasn't a kids menu, but thankfully there was. We started off with the calamari and ans truffle bread-yunmy! Then I had the ricotta travellie and my husband had the scallops-again delicious. Finally, we ended with the tiramisu and the hazelnut torta- delectable. I would highly recommend this eatery to anyone ans plan on coming back.

    Love this place! The staff is lovely, and the food is always fantastic. We had such a nice Mother's Day brunch - the chef out did himself. It's a great place to stop by for happy hour, too. Definitely a fabulous addition to the Henderson food scene.
