North Italia - Fashion Valley
Overall everything. Was good. My only complaint was we were there at 6pm on a Saturday and they were , and had been for an hour, out of the bokignese
It’s an overpriced Italian restaurant. Much prefer Buona Forchetta
Waitress was super friendly and on top of everything
Good was delicious and arrived in a timely manner
The food here was amazing and they catered a few people’s different diet restrictions without any hesitation. The service was also amazing!
Our server was amazing! She made us feel at home and comfortable! The food was phenomenal. A huge portion to share and to take home! I would highly recommend North Italia for both Casual and Business Meeting!
Great fresh food and excellent service!
Best food & service! We love North Italia
As usual great service and great food!
Great service, staff made difference. Cassandra was great and attentive to our needs
This was my second time dining at North Italia and I will definitely be returning.
While I've had some amazing meals at North Italia, I find their menu to be very limited and a little boring, yet overpriced. The place is probably nice on a warm day, but it is quite open and cold in moderate weather.
This restaurant is based on formulas rather than service. The food is just ok. The pasta was overcooked and the cocktail was bad. The avocado arugula salad had no avocado. The server did check on us but wasn't really interested. Can't recommend!
Best waitress EVERRRR!!! Very attentive and offered great suggestions for food and drinks!!
Worst service ever. We got there around 430pm on a weekday, place was fairly empty and literally waited 30 minutes for a server after several attempts to flag down any staff and finally asked the hostess where our server was. Then food came out before our drinks, drinks took so long to come out we ordered drinks the next time we saw our server and flagged her down again... then when she brought round two she took my drink which was still about half full. Never going back.
Great service and fun atmosphere! Will defiantly be going back.
Food was delicious. Service was ok. Waitress misinformed us of a couple things.
Nick, our waiter, who I have had twice now is simply the best! I love the food atmosphere and excellent service. The price quite high for what you get but I think it is worth it!!! I love my new favorite Italian resturant!!!!
A bit loud
honestly too overpriced, noisy and the waitress are rude, not worth it
This place is super trendy. I recommended getting a reservation through open table. The food is above average, the short rib pasta and bolognese were exceptional. However, the two major drawbacks are 1) the service. We waited a very long time just to be seated. Not because it was busy, but because no one was there to give a crap. Also, the service at the table was slow and very inattentive. Even after we asked for a water refill, no water refill. And yet they still expected a large tip? Ha!
2) the price. The food is good, but the portions are very small, and the price is unfairly large. For two small meals (short rib and bolognese) and two glasses of wine, the bill was $75 (not including top). I can honestly say I did NOT receive $75 in value. I walked away feeling like they owed me big time.
Overall good quality food, everything else below average.
Food was very good as always the service could have been better considering the restaurant was not as busy as previous times we have been there.
But overall still a very nice place for a special occasion or any occasion.
Food was great and well balanced as always bringing out taste of good ingredients. Service was friendly and very responsive.
Great food! Nice and open. Great vibes! Great for large parties and families
Everything about this restaurant was amazing. The overall atmosphere was very pleasant and the food was delicious. I would recommend the meatballs, I have never ate a more delicious meatball it melted in my mouth. The prices were maybe a little expensive being a college student, but it was well worth it. I definitely plan on coming back sometime.
Went for early dinner with my husband and happy hour menu was still available. Did a little sampling. Chef’s board was wonderful the infused olives shishito peppers and the prosciutto was on point! Meatballs was very tasty , pizza bianco was ricotta heaven , the chips was ok was a bit salty, squid ink pasta was also a great tasting dish.. Overall experience is great.
Server was too attentive to the point of annoying.
Great location, within Fashion Valley Mall.
NEW, spacious, modern, open concept restaurant with bar and outside covered terrace.
Food is SOLID. Good value. Kids menu is a great deal + large portions. The meatballs are MUST. Big fan of the calamari. Short rib is well accomplished.
Service is outstanding.
Food came out really quick on a Saturday evening when it was packed/full of customers.
Making a reservation on weekends is a must.
Great atmosphere, great service, great food!
Great food and love it for lunch. Dinner was much busier and noisier.
Nice bright room with outside seating. We sat inside for lunch on a Friday. Not too busy so I really cannot comment on the noise level. Our waitress was great and food was served timely. Kind of a small menu at lunch but it had everything we needed.
Great dining experience!
Everything for my first time at North Italia was pretty on point! Few things to consider, calamari appetizer was delicious, greens were a nice touch but I felt the dish overall needed more calamari especially sharing between 4 people. Ambiance and service was fantastic just a little too much checking in when the table was cleared and we were finishing up our drinks and cocktails. My fiancé’s sister was visiting on a last minute work trip to the city, we don’t see her often and I felt we were getting a bit rushed. We had paid our bill, there was no line, several other tables seated and the restaurant wasn’t closing soon. I will definitely be back, this spot was on my SD Bucket List.
We frequent North Italia a lot since it's so close to our home. For the most part, we always the same things but this time, I decided on a chicken sandwich and would not order it again - the bun was way too big and the chicken was very hard - a little disappointing ...
Food was delicious! Customer service excellent! We waited a little longer than expected for our food but it was worth the wait. I asked for an item that wasn’t in the weekend brunch menu but the chef made it for me anyway. I appreciate that!😀
The draw backs at this location is you get to look at a parking lot from your inside tables. And the noise level inside is on the high side, which and can make it difficult to hear the table conversations. Going at prime time is not a good idea.
Food was okay. Not really impressed by their house specialty. I liked the bread and olive oil though.
Waitress rarely came by to check on us to see if we wanted to put in food or another drink order. Only ended up with one drink each over a two hour span when we probably each would have gotten another if asked. Since no one came around we were there for 2 hours and probably would have put in food but no one came around really so had to flag her down to finally get the check. Don’t be afraid to interrupt guests convo :)
Service & food is on point! Delicious!
The very best Happy Hour food and wine1 Our server, Nick, was the best.
Have had the same problem at both San Diego locations. Major gap between time the order is taken and delivery of food at the table. 45 minutes last time....should have been 20. Not sure if it's the prep time in the kitchen or the server not firing the order immediately. Soup, which I order first took 20 minutes...should have been 5-8 minutes.
