North Italia - Dallas
I was really unimpressed!!! Are used to go to the North Italia in Denver Colorado all the time… It was very high-end and classy place to dine. I really do like the ambience and the patio and the atmosphere. They also had good music. But the food was so underwhelming I don’t know if I will return. The meatballs were quite good ... Vegetable salad is not very vegetably and Lacks flavor. I had that chicken pesto pasta as my main dish and I took about three bites it was very heavy and tasted microwaved. My date had the squid ink pasta and He should’ve sent it back he thought it was awful he took one bite and that was it. Our waiter was good but didn’t notice that we didn’t seem to like our food and didn’t offer us something else at all. Also people kept checking on us to box up our food when we clearly weren’t interested. I may go back and try the pizza that people rave about. But it supposed to be in Italian place not a pizza joint.
Went for a friends birthday. Despite eating at the same restaurant in multiple other cities, this was a very disappointing experience. 20 minutes to get a drink, food served lukewarm at best, and average in taste. One friend had to send her meal back to have the fish re-cooked. Very little attention from the management to these issues. Location and finish out is gorgeous, will try again, but right now very disappointed compared to other cities.
I booked the reservations for my daughters bday and Father’s Day. Loved the decor! Loved the location! We ordered appetizers, truffle bread and arancini. The bread was awesome, the arancini was good too. The Caesar salad was delish, so glad they didn’t skimp on the dressing bc it was the soooooo tasty! My husband and I split the chicken parm. It came with a side of pasta. The parm was delish! The pasta would have been better if it was hot! It was cold in places. The arugula salad was also outstanding!
I gave North a four star bc I wish that our waiter would have acknowledged it was my daughters bday. I made my reservations thru open table and they ask you if it is a special occasion.
In all it was a good experience, and we shall return!
The food was good but the servers all seemed like they didn’t want to be there. With the exception of one, who was very nice in replacing an over cooked hamburger
Went to North Italia on Saturday for our anniversary. Requested a patio table and noted it was for our anniversary, but the patio wasn't available at check in so was put at a 4 top table....not quite the anniversary dinner setting that I had in mind. Sitting inside, the noise level is pretty high but it is a busy place. The food was terrific as was the service. We had the roasted cauliflower for an appetizer, the short rib entree and the salmon entree. The entrees were especially good and were recommendations from our server. The salmon dish was exceptional and perfectly cooked. Can't wait to go back and have it again. Will definitely return.
Everything was great!! Ample free parking across the street and validated parking garage next door, we were seated promptly, our waiter was fun and knowledgeable about the drinks and menu, food was fabulous! We had the garlic bread, scallops, short rib and pesto chicken. We were surprised by the mixed bowl presentation, but it was all great!
Very nice staff and very accommodating. Rosie went out of her way to ensure that we had a great dining experience. Will definitely go back.
Every location is the same level of busy and noisy. Definitely not a place for a quiet dinner. Service at the Dallas location is somewhat lacking and on a Friday at lunch, the place wasn't packed or heavily busy still had to wait a bit for drinks, appetizers, etc. However, the good part, the food -- was really good! The truffle garlic bread is amazing. I asked for a side of their marinara sauce to dip and it was cold and not at least warmed. Salads were good, pizza was yummy and even though we had to wait for the Sangria it was refreshing.
Delicious chicken Parm and pizza!. Our waitress was fantastic. Great service and great food.
Excellent food, service and location. Dallas really needed a venue like this.
Amazing service and food! Would go back.
The food was very good, the service was excellent, the patio was great!
Fantastic setting. Excellent food and service.
Parking a bit confusing
Valet parking is the worst in Dallas Texas!!’! So bed it could keep me from going back. This was my third visit and it has been horrible every time!!!
Our son, who almost never gets a box for leftovers, got a box for leftovers--nuff said.
Food and service both amazing! I will for sure be dining there again soon!
Food was outstanding as well as the service and ambiance... will definitely be back! Loved it!
North Italia was a perfect place for our mother/son date before the theater and the weather was glorious - perfect for the patio overlooking downtown Dallas. We are glad you are here North Italia and we cannot wait to return with more friends and family! Homemade pastas incredible (bolognese and the squid ink with seafood). The fried calamari as an appetizer was to die for - baked/grilled lemon juice spread over the calamari and arugula was all this dish needed! Forget the marinara or any other sauce! So refreshing and delicious. We cannot wait to return!
My chicken pesto was great and my daughter had the chicken Parmesan which was also excellent. Don’t skip the sugar donuts for dessert.
Service was not smooth. Long pauses, and waited also for the check. Had lactose intolerant diner in group. She was given wrong information about dishes three times, and even when told dish was dairy free, came back several times to tell her it was not. Received carpaccio with cheese on the accompanying bread. Way too loud.
One of the best patios in Dallas. Brandon was great! Food was fabulous.
The inside was a bit loud for us so thank you to the hostess for accomodating us outside.
The service, food, and the views were amazing! We came here for my boyfriend’s birthday and everything from the cocktails to the free birthday dessert were top notch. Brandon was our waiter and treated us like we were VIP. Highly recommend!
The food and service were both EXCELLENT! We sat outside, and the weather was perfect. For some reason it was noisier the
The food was spectacular and the service was amazing. Our server was so patient and knowledgeable with us. Her suggestions were perfect and we had a fabulous time. My only complaint was it was too loud- they could’ve stood to turn it down quit a bit so we could enjoy the conversation better.
Great date night spot! Great service, food was amazing. A little loud in the restaurant but overall we loved it!
Very nice staff. Food is fair...arrived tepid to barely warm. Uninspiring. Extremely loud. We were yelling to have conversation. Nice outdoor patio area.
The italian donuts are amazing!! The only complaint i have is they didn't have sweet tea. :/
Birthday . Great experience !
Service was slow...server was erratic/overly distracted...nearly 10 minutes at the table before being acknowledged. Brought waters...didn’t ask if we even wanted a cocktail. Served food to the table next to us and hadn’t provided eating utensils... took more than 5 minutes to provide them utensils/napkins.
Delicious food!! Great ambiance - would go back for sure!
The food was good and the service we very good. The noise level made it difficult to have a conversation. I would recommend it.
Great dinner!! Service outstanding. Amazing food!!
Writing this negative review due to the fact that I took my husband to North for his birthday. Our server rushed us through the menu and demanded to take our order immediately, before we received our bottle of wine. I found a hair in the meatball appetizer and wanted to leave. Each course was not timed out at all, things were showing up at the wrong time in the wrong order. My pizza was cold but my husband enjoyed his bolognese. For dessert, we ordered the Prosecco and received the Moet ($16/glass) champagne. When we informed our waitress about it she just said she heard wrong and didn't offer to change the bill or our beverages. Overall, I would not return for dinner and did not enjoy my experience in the slightest.
If you can’t make a decent bowl of bolognese - as an Italian Restaurant - then go do something else. Awful.
Fantastic as always! I recommend highly!
Great food! Great service! Great view! I really enjoy my spaghetti bolognese!
Awesome food, awesome buildout inside, great patio, impressive place overall
Loved our brunch experience, staff allowed us to take time to enjoy our meal and the ambiance and nothing felt rushed as it usually does it uptown Dallas restaurants. Definitely will return
Initially received the incorrect entree and the GM went above and beyond to correct and even took it off our check! Will go back for the great service!
