   We really wanted to like this place, as we brought out of town guests on our first visit. But the food was not anything to rave about - all entrees average to above average. The lasagna bianco was different and the short ribs atop were delicious. But the bolognese was not something I would order again. The bread service included some very average white Italian bread with oil and vinegar - we’ve had better. I did enjoy the small salad and the kale and spinach side dish. And the tiramisu was delicious. The service was okay, though we were brought the wrong beverages at first. So I guess it was an inconsistent dinner with not enough highs for us to want to return.

   We’ve been to North Italia down in South Park several times and had a great experience. We were excited to try Birkdale’s new location. The location is absolutely beautiful and they did a fabulous job converting the space. Our service was “ok”. Everyone was pleasant but it was lacking in the general high level of service that North Italia is known for. The food was sub par as well - the manager did come over to explain as our dinner was taking a long time that the kitchen was backed up and trying to catch up. At 6:30 on a Sunday evening half the tables inside were empty. When our food did finally come out, it came out in shifts- there was a 10 Minute difference between when the first plates were dropped and the final plates being presented. That means Parmesan was provided 10 minutes after the first plate was dropped and that food was cold by the time they were able to eat it. The people who got their food later found their pasta a mix of more crunchy than al dente and overly soggy. Dirty plates sat on the table for more than 10 minutes and drinks sat waiting to be refilled. All in all it was a disappointing experience - having been to the one in South End we are chalking this up to an off night, but will think twice before going back.

   Fantastic food and even though it was loud in the restaurant, I would be back in a heartbeat for the food.

   Great entrees! I had the Chicken Pesto….amazing! My son had the kids burger, and it was gourmet! Great server and very attentive staff. Reservations are a must!

   Went here for our anniversary dinner. Booked ahead and let them know it was our special day. We were seated promptly on the outside area as requested. Our waitress was very pleasant and handed our order quickly. our wine choice was very good and the bruschetta was amazing. our orders were as stated. I had the seared scallops that were delicious. We were given our desert free. Awesome dinning experience Thanks for making our night so enjoyable!

   Our third trip to North Italia since its opening and IMHO, this place is perfect. Fantastic food, cool vibe and kind, attentive and caring service. A definite upgrade for Birkdale Village.

   Service was ok with multiple requests for the extra napkin silverware unanswered/ignored. The table was not set properly for our party and we ended up taking silverware from an empty table. We’re charged for an item that we didn’t order and watched a toddler run up & down the bench of an adjacent table. Food was fine but won’t be in a hurry to go back

    Food took forever to come out, server was not very pleasant, portion size was super small and expensive. Pasta came out undercooked ( no not Al dente - truly undercooked) and 3 out of 4 dishes weren’t that warm. The White Truffle Garlic Bread and side Caesar were the best part of the meal but also very expensive for the portion size. We will not be back!
