In town for Thanksgiving with my family. Found this cozy neighborhood gem. Everyone loved their meals and the service was fantastic.
First time visiting North Fork, for a Sunday Brunch. And, man, we were not alone. This is definitely a brunch hot spot. Place was packed. We had a reservation for inside, but the manager (thankfully) took the opportunity to seat us outside (which was fine, lovely and gave us a bit more space. The service was a little slow, but understandable given the crowd. Food was good. Curious to try this spot outside of the brunch window.
Way too loud
Food was great, service wasn't even when we were the only customers and the staff outnumbered us.
The food was very good, but we were rushed to finish our dessert because they said people were waiting a half hour for our table. We were there just 2 hours.
Buratta, Murray's cheese, great dinner. What else can you say.
It’s a perfect location when attending the Lucille Lortel Theater. We started with he hot artichoke spread. Then made entree selections from a menu that offered some unique items for a small restaurant, both duck and boar bolognese were available. I enjoyed the rack of lamb with potatoes and vegetables and my friend spoke well of the bronzino.
I had the chocolate soufflé with caramel sauce which was a tasty if small bite. A fair price and pleasant service means I’ll be back.
Everything about our dinner here was underwhelming. The place was so loud we were basically shouting at the table. They had two large tables that were rude and drunk and revived all of the restraints attention. Service was slow with us as a result and didn’t know the menu. They premix their $15 cocktails and won’t make unique ones for us (or so we were told). Food took 50 minutes and came COLD (not cool or room temp, cold). The wine was disappointing to put it mildly. My duck was overdone and tough.
Not a chance I’d come back here or recommend it to anyone
Our waitress was very rude when they "ran our of coffee cups" it's brunch - coffee is needed. Just refill our cups and stop being rude.
It may be a stretch to call North Fork a hidden gem given its Christopher Street location, but that is truly what it is. The food is simply outstanding here. The best Branzino preparation I've had in a very long time. We look forward to returning again soon!
We loved it. Sat outside. Everyone tried a different dish. Wait staff was very nice.
Went for brunch. Good choice of food & drinks. Food was excellent. Prices are very reasonable. Location is great (especially if you are seeing a show directly across the street at the Lucille Lortel Theatre). But the service was surly and customer-unfriendly. It started with an angry greeting (although we had a reservation) and ended with an unwillingness to split our check on more than one credit card... with plenty of attitude & inattention in between. This was our first time here, so, on balance, I'd recommend it in the hopes that the wait staff just had a bad day or you don't get the same wait staff.
Chose this place across the street from the Lucille Lortel Theater for a quick pre-theater bite before a 7:00 curtain. Reviews I read were mixed between ghastly and excellent, nothing in between. Service was friendly and attentive--easy with only one other occupied table. Short but interesting menu. Artichoke dip was excellent, enough to share. Spicy mussels were tender with lots of sauce to mop up with crusty bread. My companion's roast chicken came in an unexpectedly pretty presentation with perfectly cooked broccolini that looked just picked. A pleasant surprise.
The service was okay, the food was okay, drinks were okay.
I requested outdoor dining in my reservation notes. When I got there, they gave the last outdoor table to a walk-in party (same party size as me) right in front of me.
The food was very disappointing. The salmon burger was dry and bland. The sea bass the same. Prices were high for the quality, service, and ambience.
Food was cold
Excellent meals, but they could use more staff.
Amazing value, high-quality food that both myself and my vegetarian friend found delicious. I was impressed by the diversity in meals. We both appreciated how generous the servers were in their pouring of our bottomless mimosas and bellinis. Add to that the welcoming ambience, and it made for the perfect Sunday brunch.
LOVE IT! don’t order the bellini
Delicious! Good North Fork vibe in the West Village. Extra appreciated that the restaurant was definitely enforcing the vaccine mandate, it made for a safe-feeling and enjoyable experience.
Say at the table for thirty minutes and nobody ever came to even give us water. Asked three times for service and nothing. After we had to wait for twenty minutes for a table despite having a reservation. Skip it all together.
Overall, a great night, however they were very busy and the power went out in the kitchen, so service got pretty backed up. We had to go inside to look for the waiter after being ignored for a while. They were super nice about it, though, and gave us a free round of drinks as a result. It’s a fairly small place but the staff hustles hard and are very accommodating. Definitely will go back some time.
we had a 5:30 reservation, but the kitchen was closed until 6. so they should not have open reservations on open table during this time. additionally we sat outside and there were rodents in the outdoor seating area.
Bottomless Brunch, they kept coming around and topping my glass up; they never let my glass get completely empty. BIG PLUS ! !
Delicious brunch with friends.
Great food and service in wonderful atmosphere.
Decent place for a meal. Food was good but not great
Waitstaff was non-existent. Had to flag down each time with 20-30mins between sightings. Waitress had to reconfirm each of our orders (drinks, apps, entrees) 2-3 times each round.
Service was so so, a bit off putting at times. Drinks and food were good.
Service was very slow. We sat outside, a rat run against my shoulder half way through dinner and we had to leave.
Great food and options! They offer bottomless but it is also reasonable to get brunch drinks alone.
The wait staff allowed our group to catch up uninterrupted and was patient while we decided what to order. Thank you for a great meal!
It was great. They had mimosas and the food was tasty; however, the portions for brunch are small.
Great selection, beautiful decor and wonderful service!
way way too noisy; everyone yelling at the top of their lungs, even though it wasn't even that crowded...but the food was very good.
The host at the door was incredibly rude and dismissive from the moment we attempted to check in for our reservation. After we were seated the server was nice but the entire experience seemed disjointed, like no one there knew what was going on. The food was very mediocre. I've had better burgers from the freezer section of the grocery store.
This was our first time, but will not be our last, at North Fork. Food was delicious. If you haven’t tried it, you should.
The food was really good, as well as the drinks. I’d say the only sour thing about the experience was being told by someone on the staff if we were done because they needed the table for another reservation. I completely understand that it was a busy night, and I too made a reservation, but it came off very pushy and targeted. And if they were going to get technical, I still had time in my 90 minute limit. I’ll take this as a one time occurrence, but definitely left a bad taste in my mouth about the place.
