Very disappointing. Our server seemed to be on the first shift of her career... I hope so anyway. She poured sparkling wine aggressively into a glass, apparently unaware of the physics at play, and the wine went everywhere. We had to ask twice to be comp'ed another glass of wine, given 1/2 of it was on the table. And this was just in the first few minutes of the meal. The service was otherwise mediocre. The food was oversalted, low on flavor and overall disappointing for a place that on paper seems to go so far out of the way to include local ingredients, seasonal plates, etc.
I had my first experience here on Saturday at 12:30 for Bottomless Brunch with a friend and was pretty disappointed.
Bottomless Brunch is around $44 a person and is only 90 minutes (other bottomless places are 120 minutes) In the first 45 minutes I had my mimosa glass filled up only twice. My friend was 20 min late and she didn't get a glass for her bottomless for over 15 minutes while she sat there.
I had to get up and walk up to the bar to ask the waitress not once but twice to please fill my glass as well as get a glass for my friend. Every other bottomless ive been to they fill your glass without even asking. This was extremely disappointing. After asking twice for the second 45 min they were better about filling the glasses.
The food - I ordered the chicken and waffles and absolutely loved the spicy honey. However when I got my plate the chicken was only lukewarm. The waffle was hot. This was disappointing as well. Flavor was delicious though.
The atmosphere - very loud very small and quaint. The exact West Village vibe we were looking for.
Not sure if this was just an off day for them or they were understaffed or what but given all the other bottomless brunch places available I will go back to others.
Brunch was great
Amazing boozy brunch menu. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Would recommend!
Came for dinner with my daughter (12) and a friend. We all really liked it here. The food was excellent. Our waiter was terrific. I would definitely come back.
FYI - would definitely need a reservation. When we first arrived there were only a few tables seated, but by the time we were done, the place was full without any available tables.
Great vibes with delicious food and super friendly wait staff. Definitely recommend the mac and cheese and cauliflower flatbread.
Went on a Sunday night and had no problem getting a table, even though we'd gone earlier than our reservation. The ambiance was subdued. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating to even having the bartender come up with a special cocktail. She had the duck which was tender and cut like steak. It was served with strawberry and banana, which sounds odd but was amazing. She says it's one of the best ducks--and even meals--she's ever had, and she's quite the gourmet. I had the boar stew, which was not as memorable, but still quite tasty. The boar I found to be a bit chewy even for wild game, and the serving seemed very small for the price, but as said, was good. Our side of Brussels sprouts were unbelievably good (yes, Brussels sprouts) and had no "gastro repercussions" later. They offer dessert, but we didn't partake. All in all, North Fork is a true secret gem that needs to be discovered on a wider basis. Be back? Yes.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was wonderful and food delicious. Went there because it is across from the playhouse on Christopher Street. Will definitely go again.
This is THE place to go if you are attending a performance at the theater across the street or the one around the corner. The convenience trumps almost everything else. But the food is also a major attraction, with a rather eclectic menu that includes some game (wild boar and venison the night we went) and all well and attractively prepared, and at a reasonable price (for the West Village, anyway). Service is attentive and competent. The noise level when the place is full makes conversation difficult to impossible; a common problem with restaurants in general in modern times, but consider yourself forewarned. And, being in a historic building, it can be drafty.
The bottomless brunch is a great option! So impressed with how on top of re-filling the drinks they were. I definitely got my value and the food was so so good. Will definitely be back when I’m in NYC
Went for a boozy brunch and was very impressed with the food and the service! Recommend trying this place out! Definitely make a reservation well in advance though as the space is rather small. They make it work well, we had a big group (10) and it worked out really well!
Great and friendly service and delicious food. I cannot wait to go back!
Ordered the burrata appetizer and Venison with Cherry sauce. Both outstanding choices.
The food was great the cocktails equally as great. Ronnie was our server and he made the experience even better. Loved it!!!
Food needs to be improved. It’s just ok. Service and the place itself was great.
The duck that we had was cold. Overall, I think the experience was fairly average, maybe even below average for NYC standards.
Our table was not ready on time, but the reservation was updated to accommodate an extra person with less than 24hr notice (which was very appreciated). The restaurant is a bit on the small side and we were very cramped in a corner; the noise level was also a little high. The drinks and food were VERY good, even though the service was a bit slow at first. The servers were extremely polite and attentive after some of the Sunday rush subsided (2:15PM reservation). I’ll surely be back for round two.
Just a lovely brunch with my best friend ! The food and serve were amazing for brunch
We were really excited to try some place new and the menu was intriguing but we were disappointed when we walked in and were offered a table so small one could barely fit--and it was practically outside! Eventually we were sat at a larger table, but the restaurant was so loud we couldn't hear each other speak. The food was fair; the duck and rabbit was good but the accoutrements were not. The macerated strawberries and caramelized bananas were so sweet they were inedible and the brussel sprouts were really just a few leaves; butternut squash doesn't go with rabbit. Overall, I would not recommend this place to a friend.
It was an amazing experience. Bottomless brunch was definitely great. There was a great selection of food and the staff was so friendly. Robbie Sizzzle was one of the best waiters I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend this place for brunch with a group of friends. Make reservations, don’t expect to just walk in! Definitely a secret gem in the city. I would 100% go back again.
My girlfriend and I had an amazing time. Not exactly a first date spot, but definitely a great one for a date night!
Great food, terrible service. Filled glasses half way and took a long time in between refills.
This restaurant way exceeded our expectations ! Every meal was great!
We went for boozy brunch and the service was great! Fast refills, delicious and creative brunch food options, adorable decor, a total homerun.
We waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our 3 entrees and the staff was not even apologetic or stressed about it. The food ranged from unremarkable to bad, and pricey for what it was.
Great neighborhood restaurant, featuring North Fork and local produce, BYOB Mondays, nice space and very friendly service.
The spicy mussels are a must. Burger was also great! It was super busy so service was a little slow.
The brunch wen relatively well until the waitress tried to kick us out four minutes after our 90 minute bottomless was up. There were people in our table still eating their meal. She attempted to to mention how the restaurant is small and people are waiting for the table, and while we understood her reasoning it is incredibly rude, mainly because we were not even done eating
The restaurant itself is homey and cozy and has potential to be a great place for a group dinner. Everyone at the table enjoyed their dishes, however, the service was very slow and it took over an hour to get our food. They staff was accommodating and comped us a round of drinks but had we had somewhere to be, this would have been a problem. With so many great restaurants in the city, not sure I would take the time to come back here despite the food being tasty.
I went for dinner and had a most delicious meal. The frisee salad with apples and cranberries was excellent, as was the sea bass with pumpkin mash. The space is quite nice - a great addition the neighborhood.
Great brunch menu and good service. Would definitely return!
The ambiance is nice but the food is horrible. I had the chicken and waffles and they were the driest waffles I have ever had in my life. I would not recommend going there for brunch.
Cosy ,relaxed atmosphere. Had some starters first and the were very tasty , especially the artichoke dip.
The burger and the steak were excellent as well.
Lovely little west village spot, nice Long Island themed food. Moderately priced, charming, just a few tables. Great for a date or if you want to have a conversation with someone.
Had brunch with a friend at North Fork, and we had a great experience! The food was fantastic in both quality and price. Service was quick and efficient; however, not overly present, which we appreciated since we were conversing the entire meal. I’m excited to go back for brunch again and to try their dinner menu!
By far the best brunch I’ve ever had in NYC. Will most definitely be returning!
Lovely vibe, food was tasty and had a beautiful presentation. Waitress brought our bottle of wine but didn’t pour it... which we found a little confusing. She also didn’t know about the entrees.. but did ask the kitchen for details and let us know. There is some room for improvement with the service but that was our only complaint. We enjoyed our meal- all dishes were very good.
Came for bottomless brunch after finding an Eater article about best brunches in NY. They’re illegal in Boston so definitely took advantage of it here. Servers were very attentive and the cauliflower flatbread was super yummy. My partner loved his bloody Mary’s and baked eggs too.
This is a great hidden gem we discovered. The ambiance is great, has a neighborhood vibe, and the staff made us feel comfortable from the moment we crossed the threshold. While my slow roasted "Frenched Breast" chicken was slightly dry, the rest of our meal, including the Pesto Spinach Fettucinni, was excellent and all of it was tasty. The drinks and appetizers were great. Perfect spot for a NYC visitor such as us to discover. Prices were quite reasonable, and, coming from San Francisco, I'd even say below expectation, making North Fork an affordable dining experience.
