Welcome to North Fork!
BYOB dinner ( Sun. Mon. Tuesday)
American accented comfort food and wine in a modern-rustic setting.
Our restaurant, located on on the corner of Christopher and Bedford Streets in historic West Village is borne out of our love of hospitality, sense of community and affinity for history. Exposed brick walls, reclaimed barn woods, a live-edge wood oak bar, large windows and rustic accents re-create a sense of tradition and sustainability.

“Our name is inspired by the North Fork region of Eastern Long Island and reflects a slow-paced way of life where neighbors know each other, shop at local farms and vineyards and often share meals over familiar conversations.
We support local farms and small-batch produced food. As a commitment to sustainability and supporting local farms, we strive to source as much local produce as possible. There is a $10 corkage fee and a minimum of one entree per person.

Food was excellent, a little pricey but that's everywhere in New York! I had scallops and then the sea bass, wonderfully cooked. Plus they had a great selection of local wines which really made it special.

the restaurant was hard to socialize in because it was very loud - went for bottomless brunch and received a bill just one hour after sitting down when I was under the impression I wasn't limited to sitting for just an hour. The restaurant was half empty at the time I received the bill.

This is a small place. When we arrived, there were only 10 other people in the restaurant. But one was an extremely boisterous table of 8 who were celebrating an engagement. The radio was on and the table of 8 was loud and you couldn't hear yourself think. I believe it was the bartender who came over to the loud table and started singing and raised the noise level even higher. We had drinks and a very delicious hummus and chips and then we left too eat elsewhere. We told the waitress that we couldn't stay because of the noise level. We were disappointed because we live on the North Fork of Long Island and wanted to share this experience with our friends who were visiting from London

North Fork does it again! This isn't the first time I've been here and will not be the last. Got the brunch burger with fries and they might have been the best fries I've ever had. I love their brunch and will back again for more

Our server was quite standoffish, but we could commiserate - the owners had the music so loud that none of us could hear each other, including the poor server, who confessed that he was having trouble all day.

The food was ok; interesting preparations with so-so executions (both the chicken and the waffles were dry as a bone, but the flavors were nice; the breakfast skillet wasn’t bad necessarily, just terribly bland).

Finally I had to knock a star off my review because I found a, ahem, short-n-curly hair in my meal, if you know what I mean. They recooked it of course, but no apologies were offered, and full prices were charged.

The drinks were tasty, and the young lady filling my mimosa glass was cheerful and always present when I needed her.

Overall, it was not an ideal situation, and given all the options for brunch in the Village alone, let alone all of Manhattan, we will not be returning.

I spend every weekend on the North Fork of LI and have for MANY years.
I was hoping to share the NoFo experience with a City friend, midweek.
Unfortunately this bar/restaurant couldn’t deliver such.
Vegetables/sides were mostly succotash.
No LI vegetables ( other than the corn in the succotash) even though it’s prime summer.
No LI wines and the Pinot Grigio offered was not pleasant.
There was a sea bass offering and some spicy muscles but not really anything the NoFo offers.
Was very disappointed.

Honestly one of the best brunches I’ve had in NYC. I got the duck Benedict and oh baby was it worth it. Sangrias were also refreshing and when they say bottomless they mean it, the service was amazing. Robbie our waiter was so personable and lovely, he made the whole experience so much better. Definitely not the last time I brunch at North Fork

If you're looking for delicious comfort food with a modern twist in a relaxed but super cool setting, then this is it! The brunch is a MUST....we tried just about everything on the menu and it did not disappoint...could not pick a favorite! Make North Fork a stop for fuel - both body and soul!

I normally find brunch food to be overrated and overpriced, however North Fork definitely delivered on both accounts. $39 for a bottomless and entree deal. Both the chicken and waffles and the duck benedict was amazing, and who doesn’t like a bellini (or three)? I am definitely planning on returning.

We went for bottomless mimosas (bellinis, sangria) and brunch! The food, drinks, and service were excellent! Two of us had he smoked salmon eggs benedict, which was perfect! We also ordered the creme brûlée French toast (so yummy, could be dessert) and the chicken & waffles, which was s big potion and also delicious! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. A great way to spend a Saturday!

We decided to check out this new place, because I liked the rustic interior and the fact that they support local farms. The place is so cozy and romantic, the food is amazing! I ordered cauliflower pizza, and my partner had a steak. Now we can't wait to come back for more! :) Besides that the service was very attentive, our waitress was a sweetheart.

If the restaurant wants to celebrate the North Fork of Long Island, the wines should be from the North Fork. With so many wineries, there is no reason to have France and California represented. The same could be said for Gin. Two of us ordered the chicken. Mine was not cooked; not even close. It was so pink that I was concerned about the bite I had already swallowed. Send it back? Not if the server doesn’t check in with the table. The restaurant was not crowded so that cannot be the excuse. There was so much au jus on the plate that I’m both surprised and grateful that it didn’t spill onto the table or me. Medley of summer vegetables? A handful of butter beans, kernels of corn, and diced red pepper. There was so much au jus that the vegetables were all over the plate. It’s the time of year where we enjoy the bounty of summer vegetables. They were certainly not on my plate. Too much mayo in the potato and corn salad. One bowl was not eaten. I had to eat mine as I couldn’t eat the chicken. I will certainly not return. The only reason I gave it two stars was because of the rustic coziness. The food barely deserved one star.

The waitress seemed confused when we tried to order. Our drinks sat at the bar for a while until someone noticed we hadnt been given them. (And they misheard my order). When the food finally came, it was lukewarm and buried in salt.

I dont like to make a scene, and was just going to not say anything, but then the waitress started complaining to us about the kitchen and bar staff. Telling us how bad they are. The whole thing made me extremely uncomfortable and we just wanted to flee. They comped two of our entrees, but our total for three people was still $130.

After a delightful meal a few weeks ago shortly after Northfork opened, I took out of town guests this week. The food was highly overseasoned. A steak was fine but the bed of asparagus and peas was too peppery for my friend to eat. (And the peas mushy.) My order of BBQ boar, which I checked to make sure had a sweet and not spicey sauce, came cold, sauceless and over a bed of spinach that was nicely garlicky but so peppery it brought tears to my eyes. Sent it back for a halibut that was fine though something burned my tongue in the couscous below it. The other diner had frogs legs and was satisfied.

Firstly - I think we hit a bad day for the serving staff. Our waiter was lovely when we were able to get hold of him but when his colleague turned up an hour late and the chef was the one making brunch cocktails - we knew it was going to be a rocky morning. It took 15 minutes for our order to be taken. The spicy honey biscuits came relatively quickly (but without side plates) and were very fresh and delicious. The biggest issue was in relation to our main dishes which arrived 1 hr 20 mins after we initially sat down and frankly only arrived at all when we had to ask for them after 1 hr and 5 minutes. The ambience is good - one of those cute West Village spots. There was no real need for the music or for the staff to adjust the volume throughout the morning. It's a small space so you don't need to fill it with background noise. I had the Eggs Your Way - which was served in a fairly basis way but tasted good (really liked the potato and leek hash) and my friend had the skillet eggs - which were noted to be very good. Overall good food, nice ambience - they maybe just need to work on hiring more reliable people.

We visit North Fork because it is across the street from the Lucille Lortel theater, where we have a subscription. It is thus a very convenient location, and is more moderately priced than most of the other options in the area. The food is good to very good; the burgers in particular are excellent. On each of our visits, however, most of the seasonal specials were not available, which was a disappointment. And each time they had only one dessert. The background music is too loud to be background, meaning that diners had to talk loudly to be heard over it. SoundPrint measured the sound level as 74 db and 80 at peak, which is really too loud for conversation and near the limit for hearing damage. Still, location and food quality make North Fork a viable choice.
