North End Grill Ratings and Reviews
Wonderful food and service. Very accommodating as we brought our own wine. Food very special without being to enhanced and elaborate. Efficient kitchen. Wonderful location near Conrad Hotel. Plan to return. Strongly recommend. Arctic Char fabulous. Shared with my husband and they were kind enough to split in kitchen. Great salad with amazing dressing. Every aspect was special.
Was horrific! It was very cold outside and when we came into the restaurant we asked for a table that was warm. We were then seated next to the vent that blew out COLD air for the entire lunch!!! When we told the waiter he said “yes it’s cold in here and the heat is not working well”. Not an apology or anything else. Awful would never recommend this to anyone
We were visiting family in NYC & planned dinner at the North End Grill before going to the Celtics/Knicks game. We had a 5:30 reso but arrived at 5 to enjoy a drink in the lounge. Nice way to soak up the scene, enjoy group conversation & relax. We were escorted to our table with Monique as our server. She was such a lovely part of our experience. From the 4 of us, she answered questions about the wines, the local oysters, the philosophy of the restaurant and the menu. We shared a variety of delicious choices over a 3-course meal. Offerings like roasted whole fish & octopus were stand outs. We were never rushed & Monique made sure we were all set to get to the game on time. Absolutely recommend, we all thought it was perfect.
Fantastic!! Went here for brunch on a girls weekend in NYC and could not have had a more enjoyable experience. The atmosphere, food and service were impeccable. Highly recommend this for brunch, happy hour, special dinner and anything in between. Will visit again when we are back in town.
Horrible experience for a business lunch. Arrived at 12 and were promptly seated but that’s where the service stopped. We were a party of 5 and had an hour to conduct a lunch meeting. Our waiter took our order and 55 minutes later not a single dish was served. The waiter never came around to check on us and after I flagged him down on several occasions it went from “your dishes should be out shortly” to “the kitchen made a mistake with your orders”. That last excuse came at 12:55. We promptly left the restaurant with only having ate bread. We will never be going back.
In an area that has an abundance of fast food places it is nice to have an option that is less fast food and more business casual. Service was attentive and prompt, critical for a business lunch. Lunch was enjoyed by all - chicken paillard and salmon were the choices. The sparkling water was a bit pricey at $11/bottle, but since the service/tip is "included" in the prices, I guess that needs to be factored in, however, when $22 of the bill was for 2 bottles of water it does seem a bit much.
