Fantastic!! Went here for brunch on a girls weekend in NYC and could not have had a more enjoyable experience. The atmosphere, food and service were impeccable. Highly recommend this for brunch, happy hour, special dinner and anything in between. Will visit again when we are back in town.

Horrible experience for a business lunch. Arrived at 12 and were promptly seated but that’s where the service stopped. We were a party of 5 and had an hour to conduct a lunch meeting. Our waiter took our order and 55 minutes later not a single dish was served. The waiter never came around to check on us and after I flagged him down on several occasions it went from “your dishes should be out shortly” to “the kitchen made a mistake with your orders”. That last excuse came at 12:55. We promptly left the restaurant with only having ate bread. We will never be going back.

In an area that has an abundance of fast food places it is nice to have an option that is less fast food and more business casual. Service was attentive and prompt, critical for a business lunch. Lunch was enjoyed by all - chicken paillard and salmon were the choices. The sparkling water was a bit pricey at $11/bottle, but since the service/tip is "included" in the prices, I guess that needs to be factored in, however, when $22 of the bill was for 2 bottles of water it does seem a bit much.

Disappointing for a Danny Meyers restaurant. Service was inattentive, food fair. Three of our party of six had steak which was tough and not prepared as requested. Our granddaughter ordered “giant prawns “ appetizer and was served one small shrimp and told that was all that they had. Not at all the experience we had expected.

The lunch menu was pretty limited and the offerings were...meh. As a starter I had the Trotter Torchon, Parsley, Cornichon, Shallot $19 (fancy deli meat) and for my entree the Short Rib Beef Burger $28 which was pretty good accompanied by the "duck fat fries" which simply tasted like regular french fries (mine was way over salted and over cooked). My dining companions had the lobster roll which they both said was just okay. I would recommend this place because overall it was nice as was the service but I just found the food to way too pretentious but just okay on flavor.

We went for brunch and because we are normally vegan, but will sometimes go with vegetarian when out or even eat a bit of fish sometimes, it was just ok. I had the smoked salmon which was a huge amount of fish served with condiments and a bread basket {if you order this, share!!!} ~ I would have loved a special bagel instead. There was a special omelet on the menu, but nothing so creative. The prices are a bit steep, but it is a no tipping restaurant. There were many different servers attending to our table and because of that the service was a bit slow. We would have loved to see some creative vegetarian dishes and maybe some special breads. The ambiance is great, it is a beautiful space and we love open kitchens. Don't misunderstand, it was a very good brunch, but not as special as I thought it would be for the price or the name.

Service was abysmal. Our guests wondered if the “no tipping” policy contributed to the terrible service. Everything was so slow. Drinks came out in stages and after dinner it took half an hour to be offered coffee or dessert. We would have probably all ordered after dinner drinks but just wanted to leave. Really hard to figure out because they have like 30 people working the floor but no one is paying attention to the customers. It was like a restaurant opening night. The food was ok but the rest of the experience was so unpleasant. Definitely not going back

This is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC....literally top two restaurants. I’ve gone here a bunch of times and the service and food just simply cannot be beat. Additionally, you have elbow room and you’re not on top of your neighboring table! I love this place.

Although the service was very nice, it was slow. This was a little surprising, given the reputation of the Danny Meyer restaurant group. We were there for brunch and we are all coffee lovers. The containers to hold the milk for the coffee were so tiny I felt like we had to keep bugging the server for more milk all the time. Also, the coffee cups were small too. I can never figure out why restaurants don't just give you a carafe of coffee and more than 3 oz of milk. The food was delicious. The eggs were great, as was the granola. Order the dutch baby! That is a special treat!

It's a beautiful space with a friendly bar staff, not-so-friendly waiter ( maybe my bad luck) and the steaks were medium well instead of medium rare. This was at 6:45pm when the restaurant was not busy. On the other hand, they catered to my garlic allergy so they have to get a plus for that. But it's not worth a drive downtown.

Our first impressions were great. The dining room is attractive and what a relief to have some space between tables! Noise level and lighting were just right. We tried two specialty cocktails and they were great!

We worried about the service early on. Our server was clearly disappointed that we didn't want to order dinner when we ordered our cocktails. She made herself scarce so we ended up ordering later than we would have liked. After dinner we wanted a bottle of champagne and dessert, but when she never came we decided to get the check. We waited so long that I eventually raised my hand. It took a sympathetic coworker getting the manager for us to get out of there.

I had a raw seafood first course and vegetarian pasta and they were both very good. I think the food is very good and the people around us seemed to truly enjoy it. Our mood was soured.

Love Danny Meyer. Isn’t my only criticism is for the waiters to remind the diners that tip is included. I realize it’s mentions it in small print on the bill. But they should remind all diners of this.

The service didn't live up to the level of great food they had. It's a tip inclusive restaurant but I would not have left 20% for my service, which I'm sure is the amount built in to the price.

In the city within the City, North End Grill is an oasis. With the Danny Meyers touch, the details are right and the results are predictably good. "Shuck a Buck" daily deal is a welcome feature and the prix fixe after 1:30 makes this a relative bargain. Crab cakes and salmon rillettes for appetizers and a chicken burger and the whole chicken for entrees were all superbly rendered. The plum and almond sticky toffee pudding with espresso ice cream was, yeah, as good as is sounds. High-test espresso topped it all off. Then, you get the check and just sign; no tipping as it's all included.

Amazing Scotch and bourbon menu if you don't already know. Service was fair, likely reflecting the no-tip pricing. The food was delicious with good sized meals except the duck which needed at least two more slices - and this from a fairly light eater. It was a fun place for my son's 24th with family.

After waiting 15 minutes for our cocktail we ordered dinner. We ordered the Bronzino and asked that the chef filet the fish. After another 15 minute wait we were told that the chef was too busy and we asked to see the menu once again.
We ordered the trout in place of the Bronzino.
The trout came to the table looking like a raw salmon. The center was cold and undercooked.

I enjoyed the North End Grill twice this week. Once with my family, a second time with a business colleague. It is very hard to find someplace that perfectly meets both needs, in terms of ambience, cuisine and service. The North End Grill hits it out of the park on both counts. I have always been a fan their carved steak but recently have fallen in love with their chicken for one or two. This dish gives chicken across New York's kitchens a run for their money -- look out The Nomad and Marc Forgione.

What a gem! So glad I found this place; hosted 10 for dinner and it was fabulous from beginning to end w/ unique apps, entree's, wine list, and single malt to boot! We had a split group of women and men and everyone enjoyed themselves and had a great time. Value is spot on too; refreshing in a day and age loaded w/ restaurants that think they are so posh. I can't wait to bring my wife for a night out next time we're in town.

We made a reservation for 8:15pm on a saturday night, intending to do the prix fixe menu and wine pairing advertised on the restaurant's website. When we arrived, the restaurant was 70% empty, and the hostess told us our table wasn't ready yet. When seated, we looked at the menu and found nothing about the 3 course set menu and wine pairing option, and every item on the menu was $5-10 more than what we'd viewed online. We told the waiter, who apologized and admitted that the menu was a few weeks old and that they'd just discontinued the set menu and wine pairings a week or two ago. We were disappointed by the options and pricing on the in-person menu (a $170 steak for two?? a $72 chicken dish for two? are you insane?) so we told the hostess about the issues and left. Not surprised that the head chef has turned over a few times and that the place was almost empty. very disappointing.

We dined at North End Grill on a beautiful Saturday evening in NYC; everything about the restaurant was fabulous, from the streamlined, modern decor, to the food but most importantly, the service was the best I've experienced in NYC in the past five years. Outstanding. Thoughtful, attentive but not overbearing. Our meals included branzino, duck and a pasta dish, each of which completely satisfied. And this was our first time dining at a "no-tip/tip included" location. Fantastic. Danny Meyer and crew are to be appauded.
