One of, nay the best, brew pubs in Western PA. The food, ambiance, and beers are top notch.
Always a good time at NCBC, excellent food, excellent decor and they didn't do anything embarrassing for my partner's birthday.
Best Reuben sandwich I’ve ever had
Always a high quality experience.
North Country has always been our families tradition for birthday celebrations. Everything from start to finish, when we done there, top notch!!! Thank you
Always a great experience. This is one of my family’s favorite restaurants. Food, service, and drinks are always excellent.
We had a great time! The food was AMAZING! I got the Mushroom Bourbon Chicken with fries and broccoli. The chicken was tender and prepared perfectly. If you like any sort of vegetable GET THE BROCCOLI! It is cooked to perfection with what seemed to be a butter garlic addition. My husband got a burger which was also cooked perfectly for him. He said it was one of the best burgers he has had in awhile. Also I would suggest anyone who visits gets the Pub Pretzels. I hate mustard but the Black Bear Mustard is to die for as is the cheese. All in all a great visit. My only suggestion would be to have more items on the menu. It has variety but it is still quite small.
Can’t wait to visit again soon!
The incredible selection of entrees made our mouths water! Not to mention the wide selection of crafted beers, which was vast, if you desire a stout, they have you covered, pale ale, got that too! The Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese was delicious! The portion size was enormous. The live band that came in at 7 was great! Great atmosphere, even better food and beer, this is the place to go in Slippery Rock!
We always enjoy North Country and love that they have the outdoor patio where we can also bring our dog. The servers are always friendly, attentive enough and happy to guide your choices.
Great staff, food was excellent and always a great value!
Great food, beer, and outdoor seating, though it was unfortunate that people were smoking.
We had dinner at North Country Brewing Co on a Friday. We had a reservation so we were seated promptly. We started with a delicious appetizer Pennsy-Tucky sushi... fresh beef w/ cheese, and spinach wrapped in bacon. It had a Teriyaki sauce-delicious. That was the highlight of the meal. We were told on multiple occasions that the kitchen was backed-up and our food should be out shortly. I ordered a chicken wrap and fries and my husband had salmon with asparagus. We waited over an hour for our food. The food was fair. Our waitress did not refill our drinks after passing by our table several times and seeing they were empty. We had to ask for refills. She also asked me when taking my order if I wanted ranch to accompany my sandwich which I requested. When we got our bill she had charged me extra for the ranch. Our bill was over $60. We sure didn't get what we paid for.
We almost always order the same thing--battered fish. This was not the same. The batter was overcooked a bit/hard, the fries were barely warm. We always said we were never disappointed at North Country, but this time we were. It's interesting that a restaurant is full, the food seems to arrive quickly. Again, we were disappointed by the length of time it took for our food to arrive.
Met our College Son for Easter , late lunch. The food was excellent our server was superb. Unfortunately there was a table of 8 in the same area and they were extremely loud. Like they were the only people there. No fault of the restaurant but thank goodness they weren’t there very long. Enjoyed our visit and was really impressed with there server!
Love this place. Every time we drive through during our travels we stop. The beer and food are always so good. We've never been disappointed. We honestly have not eaten on site since the pandemic started but we felt very comfortable sitting outside. The staff was amazing and accommodating as usual. Very clean and always wore masks.
Absolutely one of my all time favorite places! The atmosphere is great, the service is great and the food is even better!! Great selection of drinks, too!
Great food, great beer, great atmosphere. Our server was wonderful. We were happy they offered outdoor dining. Adorable space, fun bathrooms.
Good food, good beer, nice atmosphere. Used the open table app and had no wait.
Food was good. Boys burgers were very well done..but to be fair that's how they ordered them. Wait time was more than expected...little over an hour for entrees to arrive. But our waitress kept us updated and informed. Overall we had a great time and my wife and I would return without the 5 teenage boys just for some us time. Ha
Food quality is really good.
Service fast and felt safe distance.
Reuben really good. Friend has sirloin and loved it.
Service was extremely slow - arrived at 3pm and didn’t get entree until almost 430pm. Disappointed since we went outside of a typical dining time.
Came in for date night and got a patio seats despite the cold weather. Patio was awesome as always. However, it was like the kitchen forgot about our table of two. For a appetizer and two burgers we were there for just over two hours. We were told the kitchen had to make several large groups of food at once. Need to work on prioritizing tables and large groups shouldn’t get preferential service. Our food was good but it was apparent it had been rushed unlike our visit in January where it came out absolutely flawless.
Excellent food, as always. Our server Kira was so attentive and made great recommendations. Love NCB!
Our table was ready at the time specified in our reservation request. The server was polite and attentive to our needs. Once our food was served he followed up and continued to refill our drinks without us asking. Overall an enjoyable experience.
The service was not up to usual with regards to speed. Had three different persons attending to our table and that may have contributed to the delays. We were seated a little over 2 hours for 2 rounds of drinks, appetizers we ordered with the first round of drinks and meals ordered with second round of drinks. I was impressed that everyone that entered the restaurant was sporting a mask.
We’re local so we stop in fairly often for dinner-great place for friends who want to get together or bringing your family-service is always top-notch. We had Hailey last time and she’s a gem! Food is excellent and I really just go for the Sour Series! :)
It was good and the servers were excellent. Your tall tables upstairs by the bar are kind of the worst. You can't scoot in because theirs a bar all across. But we moved tables and had a wonderful time! Thank you! What a sweet place.
We love the brewery! One of the things we love about the brewery is the outdoor seating option. On the Facebook page, there are often posts stating that there are heaters and a fireplace in the outdoor area which are on and ready for diners. We went once in the winter and with the heaters on, it was wonderful! On this evening though, the gentleman who seated said he had our table right by the fire. We were very excited about this, but when we got to the table there was no fire, and none of the many heaters were on. It was a warm evening, so it wasn't that uncomfortable. However, we asked our waiter if we could please light a heater beside us. He said he thought they were out of propane and said he would send someone out to light the fireplace for us. No one came out to do this. We saw a couple employees come out to take a break, but no one started the fire, which was all ready to go. Since it was our first date night in quite some time, this was disappointing, but it didn't take away from the delicious food!
Food came out cold and multiple people at my table received burgers that were cooked incorrectly. Because the service was slow it wasn’t even worth it to send the burger back for a re cook. The server was fine but the service was slow. Appetizers/entrees at least 20-25 min waits
We were forgotten for seating, even though we had reservation and gave cell number to call when table was ready. Finally seated in very noisy bar area. Our server Hailey was AWESOME. But our meals took a long time to arrive, salad came out 2 minutes before entree, and vegetable side (California blend) with entree was gross (old) and cold. Strawberry daiquiri was yummy, and loved the bartender's and our server's personalities and energy. Will go back, but maybe not on a busy Saturday.
The food is always delicious and the farm-to-fork selections are amazing!
Always delicious food and great variety of dishes to choose from
We usually really enjoy this place. This time was hopefully an off day. We were seated upstairs and requested to sit by the window, which the host obliged but unfortunately the table wasn't clean. Obviously during Covid times this is a concern. The waitress came by a few minutes later and cleaned off the table for us.
The food was ok. It was definitely not the best we'd had there. We did experience some tummy trouble after eating.
I did get annoyed that when the host sat another table, they were seated right next to us, instead of the other completely open sections available that would have allowed for social distancing. The tables were so close together that if we both didn't have our chairs tucked in, they would touch the other table's chairs.
We really enjoy this place in normal times so I'm sure we'll be back at some point, but after this experience, I think we will try out some of the other area breweries.
Such a wonderful experience! Visited last weekend for lunch. The service, ambiance, food, and beverages were great!
Great staff, seated immediately when arrived. Quality food & drinks.
Great food and atmosphere. I prefer a hazy New England IPA and that’s the only reason for 4 stars. They didn’t have that to offer but otherwise it was great!
Such a nice day to celebrate with my best friend! ♥️ Amazing dinner. 💖
Excellent service by Liz! Food was good, crab cake could have been seared a tad more, a little runny. The taste was good. Great beer as usual. Love the Squirrel Nut Brown.
The atmosphere was amazing, and the seating was set up right away near the heater. That being said the service was very inviting, but the wait time took longer than normal. The reservations were made online but were not even needed when walking in even though they were made hours ahead of time.
Ordered the Beer Mac & Cheese (topped it off w/ BBQ pulled Pork), but was depressed with how cold the macaroni was. The pricing for it was to high in my opinion, and since it was a cold meal I would not order that again at that pricing. (Mac & Cheese should always be served hot when cheese is melting on top)
Drink wise I was very impressed, and ended up ordering the Sour Series: Bananas Foster Sour - Fruited.
At the end of the night I was not fully impressed with North Country Brewing Co meal wise, and since that set the tone I was eager to leave early for some hot pizza down the road. (not sure why North Country Brewing Co doesn't add domino's pizza to there menu and just charge a 5 dollar service fee for pizza they can pick up at no extra cost down the road so you can have good drinks and pizza at the bar)
