I got food poising so not the greatest experience. Food was overpriced and under salted. Service was great.
Well if you think pizza can’t get any better, think again. It was so delicious and creative with toasted sesame seeds, duck sausage etc.
The ribs were fabulous. Loved the whole experience!
Our server, Guy, was great. The crudo and the house made bread were especially delicious.
Excellent food and great service.
Clearly the staff is inexperienced. Taking over a beloved space that had fabulous food is a hard act to follow. If they expect to keep the regulars/locals they will need to change the menu and quality. The staff needs training in customer service. It makes no difference how local and quality of the ingredients if the flavors are not developed and bland. The basic martini was even flat and went unfinished!
Honestly it was horrible. Appetizers and pizza were fine. Entrees and dessert was not good at all. And very slow service. Servers acted disinterested. This new restaurant really needs to get its act together.
It was a wonderful experience at the previous Reddwood restaurant location. The food was excellent! The wood-burning chicken was well seasoned and inventive. The pizza was a perfect balance of flavors, both rustic and flavorful. Service was attentive, but a bit off. Overall a great addition to the Yountville dining scene.
A new causal concept, with Japanese influence. The sauce of every dish is very good but the duck and the halibut have no flavor, the trout has a bone within. The in-house made bread is excellent. The dessert menu is quite ordinary so we skipped the dessert.
The service is friendly. The price of wine is high. A glass of Groth Sauvignon Blanc is $20, which is more than a whole bottle price.
Can’t wait to see the final design of the interior restaurant. The food was tasty and fresh
The food is so delicious! Will definitely come back.
Excellent dining experience for brunch. The food was stellar and represented the Momofuku family of restaurants well.
Cocktails, wines by glass, and food were all excellent but overpriced for the portion sizes. For example, the grilled cabbage was listed as an entree but was more like an appetizer. I had to order a pizza after because I was still hungry. Although, the Spring onion pizza was delicious. We also ordered the black cod which was tasty, but again not enough food for a stand alone entree. I would recommend you go for pizza and cocktails or plan to order more than one entree to feel satisfied.
We understand that this is a new restaurant, but we waited 45 minutes for our waiter to take our cocktail order. Our first course came out before our drinks which took another 20 minutes. Our last course came out 50 minutes after our first 3. We were there for almost 3 frustrating hours. I talked to the manager twice and did made no accommodations .
Birthday dinner for my daughter. Three appetizers, two entrees, dessert and cocktails. It’s cool outside but the heat lamps kept us warm.
Our server was great, however the bus person was not very attentive. For a soft opening we felt there needed to be more oversight and training of the staff. Cocktails were not well done, and sparkling wine should be served in the appropriate stemware. The pork dish had an over abundance inedible fat and gristle for the price point. The pizza was fantastic! The oysters were very good. There is too much competition in Napa Valley for your restaurant to do well if you don’t take care of business.
Totally exceeded our expectations
Food was on point, service and staff were exception particularly our server Axel.
The oysters were heavenly albeit my only dismay was no Tabasco was available. Please correct that.
Had our server try a glass of Quintessa Cab
Innovative food with interesting flavors. A great addition to the Yountville dining scene.
Thought the food was good, not amazing. Duck was very good as was the wood fired cabbage. The black cod was good but clams in it were all chewy and overcooked Oro which is basically grapefruit with kohlrabi meh— like a palate cleanser but nothing special or unusual. Makes us long for Redwood
Incredible food on a beautiful quiet patio
To each their own, but on opening night, as the first customers, you might expect a little frivolity. Staff professional and knowledgable, but good graces would have gone a lot further with perhaps an amuse bouche, or a small aperitif, or thank-you cookie.
Food imaginative, with Asian influence. Mussel appetizer small but excellent. Black cod tasty, and duck entree a nice size, although tiny accompaniments. I do not like having to pay for bread, so passed on their home made sourdough bread. The piece that came with the mussel appetizer was delicious.
The restaurant, with only COVID-mandated outdoor dining, was extremely minimalistic. Not a flower or adornment anywhere. If I didn’t know that I had a reservation, I would have walked by. Newspapers were still covering the front windows.
Always nice to see a new restaurant adorn our little town. And I wish them success.
Perhaps at a later date, but as of now, I would tell friends to wait and see if and how it morphs.
