Our experience last night was less than great. I believe the language barrier with our server was a major factor. Sent drink back three times. Service was very frustrating. Too much detail to describe. Noise level was incredibly high and did not allow for conversation to be had with our guests. We were delighted when we learned they had reopened. We are visiting San Francisco for a week from Oklahoma City. Such a disappointment. We will not be returning. Sad.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, appealing menu, very nice and fairly priced wines by the glass. The restaurant was very pleasant. We'll go back!

We used to go there often for several years, going back to the mid-1970s. I was hoping for the same wonderful experience. The remodel is great. I t look better than before Our waiter, Danielle, was also terrific. Most of the food was good and our company approved. But, the menu is small and I was disappointed in my entree. Overall, I believe we will go back but, in hopes that the menu will enlarge. Having valet parking in North Beach is a great asset. The service and ambience makes it worth our while to return.

It was the first time back under the new ownership. The restaurant maintained its former charm but certainly was different. A smaller menu, but still high-quality food and extremely confident, friendly, efficient waiter.
