Last night for Norman's at the Ritz Carlton. End of an era!
We were celebrating. My husbands 40th birthday and our first time here. Very pleased
Food was good, service was five stars, sorry they are leaving the Ritz Carlton, but understand completely
Ritz isn’t the same since them merged with Marriott, will definitely try next time we are in Orlando and you are in your new location, please let’s use know when !! good luck in your new location Fondly Judy Raghavan
We had wanted to dine one last time at the Ritz-Carlton location of Norman's and we truly were not disappointed! The food, service and ambiance were excellent. We look forward to following Norman to his next location.
Everything about this place was beautiful!! Will definitely return to this place soon.
top restaurant in Orlando Area with exception food and service
Celebrated my birthday! My server was amazing! The food was great!
Great dining experience, allowing 2 year screaming kids to dine in such an upscale establishment is a little sad but I guess it’s just the way it has to be. Great food and service made it worth the experience. Only 7 days left to enjoy this establishment before it closes. ☹️
Our server was fantastic. Food was delicious. Sorry that Norman’s is leaving the ritz but will certainly visit the new location.
The food, service and atmosphere were all excellent! I had the snapper which was flavorful, flaky and cooked perfectly. My wife had the scallop appetizer which was doubled to an entree portion and was equally as flavorful.
The food was outstanding... a few hiccups but the staff and management were responsive and accommodating. Favorites included Fried Green Tomatoes and Arepa with Oxtail appetizers.
Very, very loud. With extra loud cussing at the next table.
Once again, the food was outstanding and the staff as great as ever.
Overall a very good experience. Wait staff was exceptional. Cocktails were delicious; creative and well balanced. Appetizers were outstanding. Out of the four entrees, three were very well executed - the snapper, the filet, and Wagyu. Only the grouper disappointed - it was over cooked.
Overall, we would be happy to dine there again in the future and are looking forward to Norman’s opening in it’s new location.
Delicious food with outstanding service. This was a 53rd anniversary and the staff could not have done more to make this memorable. Highly recommend it. Sorry to see it leaving the Ritz Carlton but look forward to dining at their new location.
Our server, Stevens, was exceptional and helped to make our anniversary celebration a memorable evening. He’s an outstanding asset to Norman’s.
good ambiance food and service are great Prices are OK
I have been dining at Norman's for about 5 years now and always enjoyed their excellent Caribbean, Latin, American and European cuisine, elegant but not stuffy ambiance and service by one of their best server: DAVID who is knowledgeable and his service is impeccable mixed with a great sense of humor and cares about his guests needs. I have become friends with many of their staff including Chef Norman Van Aiken himself, GM Yusuf and Juan. They are very hospitable like that and leave a lasting impression on all who dine. It is bittersweet to learn that they will be moving to another location in Dr. Phillips but that will not stop the community, guests and my family and friends to enjoy this establishment. Best wishes and continuous success to the owners, partners and entire staff of Norman's!
As usual, superb service, ambience, and food quality. Awesome experience.
The service was very good and it offers a nice atmosphere but the food was just ok and very expensive for the small portion sizes. We had the Havana pork and Wagyu and the flavor was mediocre. I heard many great things about the restaurant but felt like I just paid too much for average quality food. I will not be going back and will stick to other local favorites for dining.
Pricey, but one of the three or four best restaurants in Central Florida.
It’s a fine dining experience.
Excellent food and excellent service from Andrew and Sianne(sp?)! A truly delightful experience all the way around.
We have been every year but really disappointed this visit. Booked in again for 26 aug 19 but will probably cancel as it stands. Stuart Foster
Julia and Leo provided a superb service, the food exceeded our expectations and definitely will pay the restaurant a visit when in a future they relocate to a different address.
Food was amazing service flawless. View was great. Coming back.
Norman’s never disappoints, they are a truly wonderful restaurant.
Great service fantastic GM and waiters. Loved the food. Everything was better than expected. We had to wait a while however the GM made sure we where taken care of. Offered Champagne and wine for our troubles. Great time was had by all.
Perhaps I’ve been spoiled by fine dining in France, but I was disappointed by the quality of the dishes. The portions were too large, the meat was too salty, and the balance of flavors was too coarse. Service was good and the location was nice, but I would eat elsewhere when next in Orlando.
Excellent food snd ambiance. Would definitely go back.
As usual excellent service and food! Julia was amazing and very knowledgeable of the menu.
Excelente servicio, cena extraordinaria.
Nice moment for sure.
We're locals and we're in as hotel guests for birthday. Staff went through all the right protocols but with robotic tone and little enthusiasm - it was Saturday night so usually that is the more experienced staff. Mid week - who can say. I actually like staff who know their craft and push you - they work somewhere else ... Wine list came out 10 minutes after diner menu presented. Wine has a big gap - either high end grocery store lines or well on up to equal top tier NE spots. Price point is missing in the middle. Entrees were warm, not hot when tabled although extremely well presented. Menu choices were well crafted in the kitchen and we like their range of choices and art which was the reason to go. Ambience is quiet, yet plenty of conversation. Oddly lots of open tables throughout the evening and but it seemed there was a conscious high turnover push - 1 hour or less for several tables around -not a lot of encouragement for diners to linger. Looked like prom / date nite for younger set anxious to move on ... They did what they advertised but no one looked like they were enjoying it. Voila..
Absolutely loved everything about Norman’s. A fabulous restaurant in every single way. Looking forward to them opening on Sandlake Rd.
Food was excellent.... maybe the best in Orlando. Great wine list and a fun lounge to relax and warm up for dinner.
Loved Norman's - the menu is wonderful. Great wine list too. The service is also fabulous - Christine and Roberto rock!
Very accommodating server and chef to reduced carbs and reduced sugars
Food was just ok. I should have gone to Ruth's Chris for a steak. I had very high expectations. Good online reviews and high prices. Fine. But I was more than disappointed. The conch soup has a strange taste. The conch was breaded. Really. Am I at Applebees? The blackened fish over mashed potatoes was alright. Again, Ruth's Chris mashed potatoes are much much better. Ok well. Next time I'll know.
The best Red Snapper I’ve ever had. In fact, everything was superb.
