With simple ingredients and bold flavors, Normandie has created a name for itself within the central east side’s lauded food scene. Normandie is a neighborhood bistro that combines French inspiration with the bounties of the Pacific Northwest. Expect a seafood heavy, flavor-forward food menu as well as an inventive cocktail program. Our menu changes frequently, as we bring fresh, seasonal plates to our guests.

This restaurant was too stark and noisy. It needs some fabric to soften the noise quotient. We couldn't hear each other 2 feet across our table. The non-shellfish selections were quite limited and portions small. The service was good, though.
Great drinks and a succession of wonderful plates for our dinner- loved the salads, the grilled Octopus & oysters, and the two main courses- a salmon with crusty skin and a perfectly cooked steak. Would have gotten the Normandie Board, but based on prior experience, it is delicious and simply too generous- it was time to try some new dishes.... and not feast out on the board.

Great casual bistro. Really enjoy the fine food and service, and love dropping by the bar for arguably the best burger in town.
Charred octopus was incredible. The garnish was beautiful and artistic. Skirt steak had a brilliant char..scallops very sweet and delicious.
When I go to a nice restaurant with my wife, we’re looking for a lot of things: something familiar; something nutritious; and something that appeals to my own selfish and bottomless desire for novelties in textures, aromas, and flavors. Imagine all of these served by the finest professional staff in a tasteful, modern setting and you have Normandie. We will be back.

Our group of 9 loved our meal at Normandie. The large square table made conversation easy for our big group. The food was amazing and service was great, especially for such a large group. Would go back again!
Everything we ordered was outstanding: mussels, steak and the smoked beets. After some summer travel, we were reminded that we are lucky to live in Portland.

Everything about it was great and we will definitely be going back! The salad was incredible, we ordered clams and mussels and both were outstanding-super flavorful but not over powering or too rich. One of the dishes was delayed which we didn’t even notice as it all came out at a nice pace, but nevertheless, the kitchen sent us a dessert cheese plate on the house! So glad to have this spot in the neighborhood.
Father’s Day meal with my wife and three daughters. Service was slow and the drinks were rather unusual, but the food (when it finally arrived) was tasty.
The service was lovely and professional and the food was on point. We never wanted for anything for long. One dish was taking awhile so the chef sent out something on the house to tide us over. It was a wonderful dining experience.
Very interesting and varied menu -- scallops with fennel, fantastic salad, chicken liver mousse with madeleines (especially delicious). The desserts also were novel and spectacular. Plus the cocktails = A+
