   My husband wanted ramen and we found this place in Opentable. The ramen was fantastic! Fantastic broth! Best I’ve had in a long time. The serving is relatively small, but made up for it in flavor and leave you room to have other stuff. Yakitori was also delicious. And don’t miss the chicken gyoza! Super nice staff, too.

   Some of the best food we’ve had in the city. Incredible potstickers! The Wagyu beef and the giant red shrimp on a skewer cooked over Japanese charcoal was terrific. The rice ball was perfectly cooked - crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside, with a beautiful hint of seaweed. Really interesting and refreshing cocktails to start. An incredible plum wine to finish. Service was great!

   Food was ok but portions for the price is not great. Easy 50$ a head which I find a bit much for this kind of food.

   Noren Izakaya was an amazing birthday dinner spot. Great cocktails, food, and service for our group of 8. We definitely over ordered but everything was delicious and we tried almost everything. We definitely got special treatment as we were the biggest and loudest group on a quiet Wednesday night but the servers and the proprietress did a fabulous job showcasing their hospitality and amazing selection of yakitori: the full gamut of chicken parts, bacon wrapped asparagus, scallops, and mochi, wagyu and soooo much more!! I’m so glad to have a new yakitori spot in the area.

    A bit pricy for a full meal (expected for North Beach due to rent cost) but it was delicious and service was fantastic! Will be back for sure
