The only Nordstrom restaurant in the US with no beer or wine...
Restaurant was busy and staff was struggling as a result. Ordered items that were specials only to have manager come back fifteen minutes later to tell us they were out and try to up sell with other menu items.
Very slow. Entrees took 50 minutes to get to the table.
Our food was good, but the overall experience was not satisfying. Only a lunch spot.
Delicious food. The prices are really reasonable as well.
Love this place. Great menu. Great food. Great service. Awesome place to eat before you go to an event downtown.
The food and service was very good. There was background music that was horrible. I couldn’t make out any songs. It was just a thumping noise.
Keep the tomato soup on the menu! I hear it will not be standard anymore. This is a good place for pre-theater dining, very close to Abravenal Hall and other places of interest.
It would be great if more ORGANIC food were on offer, but a nice rounded menu with lots of choice.
We enjoyed a dinner after our daughters dance concert at Nordstrom Grill. I always appreciate the service and food. I like the move away from pay upon order and entry to pay upon completion of your meal. Looking forward to our next meal here.
I was disappointed with the last booth next to the wait staff food pick up area. It was too noisy.
I would have preferred a table for 2 by the window. I made the reservation a week ahead on Open Table!
A favorite place to go, conveniently located in Nordstrom at City Creek Mall.
In the area for the Roots Tech convention and needed to find organic, 100% grass fed red meat and the Nordstrom Grill had both! I enjoyed their short ribs and they were scrumptious. Great service too! Thank you!
We love this restaurant. It is one of our favorites. It is consistent for good food and good service. However, the last time we ate there--we were seated right by the kitchen and bar area--which tends to be very busy and noisy. We were the only ones placed in this area. Everyone else had tables in a quieter area with the better view. We would have understood if the restaurant was packed but less than 1/2 of the tables were occupied. If dining at Nordstrom Grill City Creek, you may want to request a table away from the kitchen. We will definitely ask for a better table next time.
We ordered the flat iron steak and the short rib, both were excellent.
6th and elm was creative unique food. Now that it is just Nordstrom’s cafe they serve boring, average quality food that felt like it was concocted in McDonald’s test kitchen. Embarrassing for Nordstrom’s.
Consistent with Nordstrom Grills in other parts of the U.S. I have been too.
Good menu selection, delicious food and well-priced, warm service.
This was my second visit to Nordstrom Grill. We were seated right away with our reservation. They took our drink order and came back several time to check on us and take our food order. They were pretty busy, every table was full. Our food took forever to arrive. We also had someone with a dairy food allergy at our table. We made the server aware of this and they were still served a salad with cheese on it. The food is good. I will definitely go back. Hopefully the service is a little quicker next time.
Food is good, location is great for pre-symphony dining. STOP CHANGING YOUR MENU! Some key favorites have disappeared from the menu (the BLTA (and no, taking the turkey off the turkey sandwich was NOT the same; the pesto/sun dried tomato appetizer in particular).
This is a nice spot to rest up after or between shopping. Good, fresh food with a view!
The restaurant has so much potential. The onion rings sounded great but were bad. Had I not been on a date I would have sent them back. The waiter should have had the chef make better ones. Very impatient Waiter. Main courses were okay but could have been better.
Good food and atmosphere. It was nice to be able to make a reservation.
A spot of warm soup on a cold winters night was just what we needed. The server was perfect as well.
There was a hair in my salad . Disgusting
We went here before going to see the Temple Lights across the street. There were great items for kids and adults. Great service and food. And bonus, you can shop!
Really loved the crab mac&cheese and the simple but uniquely delicious salted arugula salad. Can't wait to get it again.
Very good food. Would like to see more vegetarian/vegan plates available and fruit--berries--for dessert
Went for a meal before a symphony performance. The location is extremely convenient for that and the restaurant is quite nice. We were there on the early side because of the timing of the concert, so it was sparsely populated. It filled up as we ate. They have a limited menu but the food was delicious (halibut on a bed of risotto and asparagus, chicken in roasted garlic and tomato sauce over angel hair pasta) and the creme rule for dessert was particularly tasty. Old timely B&W photos on the wall are nostalgic, interesting and I like the woody booths. Service was great. Additionally you get another hour validated on your parking ticket. It is of course not a late night spot being inside the store, but I can attest to the consistency of quality even in different locations. We came here because we had a good experience in the grill in the MOA in Minnesota. The prices are reasonable for the level of food.
I was super impressed with the fast seating, friendly and attentive service, and the delicious, flavorful food. The chocolate mousse with hazelnut brittle on the daily special menu was to die for!
Delicious food - great service - convenient location.
Great convenient downtown SLC location for a business lunch. Always good food and attentive staff!
This is was a great surprise! A friend suggested and I was not sure what to expect for a restaurant at Nordstrom. In summary, the food was good. The service without problems and the environment quiet and relaxed so that one could have a great conversation.
I definitely recommend it for a business lunch but for any occasion where you do not want to
deal with a noisy environment while having a good meal!
You wouldn't know you were in a mall. The view is beautiful. It's clean and quiet. The food was nicely presented and tasty. I'll go back!
Very attentive servers. Fresh food with a lot of flavor.
On Pioneer day parade (Utah local holiday) we decided to give Nordstrom Grill a second try for lunch, after our no so lucky visit few months ago. Our experience was extremely different this time. We were promptly greeted at the door by the hostess with a super sincere interest, and we were offered a table with an amazing view of Temple Square. Our server was very cordial, knowledgeable, on point, and suggested us to try the crab cakes to start our lunch; they were havenly! This restaurant is one of downtown SLC best kept secrets, the place is beautiful, with excellent. prompt service, and amazing food, if you are reading this, now you know where to go. Great for business lunch, meeting friends, and pre-shows dinner, with limited menu items, all health conscious and top notch, with specials that vary often. We will visit again and we know you will do the same for sure. ★★★★★
The Nordstrom Grill at City Creek is a convenient place to eat when attending a performance at Symphony Hall. The food is very good, the service is fast and efficient, and the view, if sitting by a window, is nice. The menu offers something for everyone, young and old alike.
It is also a nice place to sit down and relax when shopping. Unlike other Nordstrom restaurants I have visited, alcoholic beverages are not available.
Food is fantastic so it trumps everything else. Service is mediocre.
We had a great meal, went o a program and came back for desert. Food was great and desert was too.
Salmon with risotto, French dip sandwich, all great
We were a family of moms and girls. It was good for everyone
Excellent food had the Crab Mac & Cheese and wife had Shrimp Lime Cilantro Salad. Topped of the Dinner on Valentines Day with the Chocolate Moose Cake with Rasberry topping. Would definetly recommend and our server was very nice and attentive to our needs. Try it you will love it.
Salmon Risotto is awesome. Strawberry salad was average. Service was excellent.
We have been here several times. It's consistently good. Not super exciting and a little overpriced - but good. And we especially like that we can usually get seated and not have a 45 minute wait like most places at City Creek.
As far as our last visit - my husband ordered the French dip. Meat was good. The au jus was served cold. I ordered the salmon risotto. The salmon was a bit overcooked and a vegetable or salad would have made a nice addition to the meal instead of just rice and fish.
But overall a nice place, great service and good food.
went for pre symphony fast dinner. good food. fast pleasant service.
