Great loved all the food thank you
Overrated. Not worth the wait
Wonderful neighborhood culinary experience.
A must try!
The food was great!
The wine list is way over priced! Come on...
The service was not good. Our server was very unengaged. We ordered two starters. One arrived the table
Which we ate and the second one went missing. I asked the server twice where it was and she just brushed it off.
By saying its coming. The server takes the order then pretty much disappears from what we witnessed. Four different
People brought wine and food throughout the evening and the server appeared here and there. No one person in charge of our table. We also ordered a second bottle of wine and that took forever. We drank a third of it and took it home as it came well after we got our mains.
Yes, Nopa is happening and yes the food is good but this past Friday the service was not good and the attitude from our server wasn’t rude just not caring.
One of my favorite spots when I lived in SF. Was very excited to bring friends and family on our visit, but very disappointed. Our table wasn’t ready and since it was a 9pm reservation this was very frustrating. We were tired and hungry. It set the stage for the rest of the evening. The food was good and the burger as I remember. The bar was crowded, restaurant loud, and the tables were overbooked. Overall not the best ambiance and perhaps it’s bc I had built it up that it was disappointing.
I always have a great time at NOPA. The food is always perfect, the service is always friendly.
As always, nopa delivered another excellent experience from beginning to end. I was there celebrating my work anniversary with my boss. Our pre-appetizer cocktails started us off in the right direction. We split an appetizer and 2 entrees for dinner. We were greeted with an in house wine pro to help with our bottle selection. She nailed my tasting profile to a tee. Love the environment at nopa and will continue to take my business there for years to come.
A dinner full of delicious surprises.
I went here for lunch. The ambiance is interesting. Tall ceilings and trees adorn the restaurant. I ordered the butter-basted eggs. The dijon sauce was exquisite. It definitely makes an otherwise ordinary dish come together as outstanding. My wife had the soft scrambled egg dish. It was good, but nothing special. The house-made bacon was delicious, albeit fatty; even for bacon standards. The spiced carrot cake we shared at the end of our meal was AMAZING. My wife would love to get the recipe! The brown butter pecan glaze is to die for.
Fantastic experience. Great staff, great food.
A great San Francisco staple! Consistently delicious!
Our reserved table was waiting for us. We were greeted by our server Brad immediately and beverages brought. One of our group is very particular about everything she ingests. Brad was knowledgeable and patient and worked on a dish with her. It was my birthday and he took our photo. We had a great time. Our meals were delicious - the house made kiwi sherbert fabulous.
An experience; speaks for itself: broke college student considering cutting eating out in my budget to save enough to there once a month for date night with my partner.
Went here for brunch on a Saturday and loved it. Get the French toast!!!
Everything was amazing. One of my favorite SF spots.
Fish stew was ok—nothing special.
Wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was very noisy and made it difficult to have a conversation with several people at one table. Food was fine but a bit overpriced.
I loved everything about this place. The food was creative without being fussy and the staff was very attentive. A little to loud for a quiet date but such is the nature of dining in San Francisco.
By far our best dining experience in SF after five days trying some of the best that the city has to offer. All the dishes were superb.
Vibe was perfect - very cozy and cool layout. The food was amazing!!! Me and 2 friends split a bunch of dishes. We died over the warm goat cheese and the brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious!! Would 100% go back.
The best french toast ever. They understand how to make authentic french toast. It was so hard to pick just 2 or 3 dishes out of menu list. And staffs are so friendly and their service is beyond just a casual dining.
Great brunch. Loved the burger and the bacon goat cheese brioche bun. Can’t wait to go back and try everything else on the menu
Great food & service as always!
reservation was for first seating. Appetizer, cocktails, service was all great and timely. Had another place to be two hours following reservation time, which should be plenty of time for a dinner for two at the first reservation seating time; 3rd party to be seated. entree took 1.5 hours to come out, burger and rotisserie chicken, two items that one takes all of 8-10 minutes to cook and the other had been cooking prior to open, you would think a quick table to turn. Finally food came out, had to ask for the check so we could pay attention to the time and get out and onward to next event. When asking waitress for check her comment "in a restaurant like this you should let us know ahead of time you need to be somewhere following your dinner" A little put off by this considering 1. all we did was ask for check no negativity from the long wait and second, "a restaurant like this!?" she must think she is really something special. Too bad we had to slam the food down quick because it was delicious, and this poor waitress had to blow her entire set of work on our table in the last 10 minutes of our time there.
It was great! Took a little longer to get our mains but they quickly took care of that by providing a complimentary app.
Food was good, cocktails were great (try the beer-inspired cocktails!) service was a bit rushed / it always felt like they were trying to get us out the door as soon as possible. That’s the one place where I might dock them.
Food was great as usual, our server was just severely disinterested in our table, telling us about the menu, checking on us nor in doing anything in a timely manner. Luckily their other staff delivering the food and drink we're able to help compensate. I'll definitely be back for a redemption meal.
Exceptional food, service and atmosphere. Overall, Great Dining Experience.
I loved it! Both the service and food was impeccable. I think the custard French toast with poppy seed butter and candied oranges is quite honestly a must try! Will definitely come back again when I'm in town. (:
I wanted to be in love with this place and it be my new go to for late nights in town. The food is good, but it wasn't great. This could be partially my fault, I went with a vegetarian, I'm not I eat everything including vegetables but there weren't too many options. This is my gripe with so much produce available in California even in the winter, I can't understand why there aren't more vegetable options, its a true sign of talent to make vegetable the right consistency and edible. That being said we ordered the broccolini which was too lemony and undercooked to have so much stem attached, the sausage flatbread with no sausage or blue cheese just Brussel sprouts for $19, french fries which were good, pimento aioli taste like too much smoked
paprika; and smelts for me which I really liked. I would've ordered the duck but it would be without wine and I couldn't handle it, that might've made me happier, but my partner was less than thrilled. Since we weren't drinking due to overindulgence in 2017, we were there for just food which may be where our problem is. This place is where you come to drink, they have a lot of rare beers that you could only get at the Tornado and a few others, a nice wine list, and some wonderful sounding specialty cocktails, which is why I've tried to get to the bar a number of times with little success a few occasions. I love the ambiance the decor and style, despite the bathrooms needing some love, this place is a find. I just don't understand why its difficult to even make some vegetarian options on the menu. Although I'll go back with some friends, and to drink. I wouldn't be able to go as often because of the lack of options for the person I spend the most time with.
Excellent place for diner on a date! Got the duck leg dish and it was the best duck I’ve ever had in the city, would definitely get it again!
So noisy I couldn't hear two of the four people in my party. Conversation was impossible. We had to send the hamburger back as it wasn't prepared per order.
Nice spot. Really enjoyed the meal and the wait staff was great.
Appetizers were okay. Pork chop very fatty & rare but tasty. Chicken dry & overdone, very disappointed. Not nearly as good as advertised.
Overall consistently very good— I’ve been here a number of times and it’s one of my preferred restaurants.
Perfection! Still can't stop thinking about my meal!
amazing as always! I took my brother for the first time and now he keeps bugging me when our next Napa visit will be (:
Every bite blows my mind and I want to savor it for eternity. Atmosphere is top notch. All staff are accommodating and friendly and competent. Everything is high quality yet not uptight or uncomfortable as some fine dining spots are. My fav restaurant ever!
Great in all area!! Can't wait to go back and I never say that!!
My Husband and I are new to SF, and are exploring everything the city has to offer. This eatery is a definitely highlight. Clearly a popular spot with locals, the ambience, cocktails and food exceeded expectations. Service was great too... relaxed and unpretentious. Leave room for dessert, you will not regret it.
