nopa - San Francisco
We had a work party brunch before going to Hamilton and everything went very smoothly. We got to our table on time and they accommodated our group putting our two tables together. The food was fabulous, especially the lamb and the baked egg dish. Drinks were lively and fun. Overall, great experience!
My party was fortunate to be seated on the balcony, overlooking the restaurant and part of the kitchen, which greatly added to the experience. The ambience is relaxed, if slightly noisy, with most of our fellow guests dressed up slightly in business casual attire. Service was excellent. Get a reservation if you'd like to be seated quickly and don't be afraid to ask for recommendations as the menu seems to change seasonally.
Food-wise, every dish was exquisite and prepared quickly. My party commented that they'd never eaten tastier vegetables. If you'd like a surprising treat, try the brussels sprouts appetizer! We feasted on duck, porkchop, and spiced ham, as well, and had a few cocktails to full in any gaps left over from a delicious meal. None of the dishes were large, so the meal was filling but didn't leave us overstuffed. All of this came out to about $65/person, which I consider a good value.
Great food and atmosphere in a wonderful neighborhood. A SF must
Food was amazing but it felt very rushed throughout. Too expensive to be that rushed.
It awesome! The food was excellent and our waitress provided attentive service my girlfriend and I’d anniversary!
Amazing food with really great service. Really felt taken care of and the food has all the innovative tastes you would expect from a restaurant like this.
The mushroom toast was incredible - still thinking about. What a fabulous dining experience!
Excellent food with outstanding flavors. Very loud at brunch.
Everything was great besides the fact that a birthday was forgotten nor were we ever offered dessert for the birthday. When i had made reservations I had noted that it was my girlfriends 25th birthday and thought we may have a dessert dropped with a candle but that never happened. Besides that, food was excellent.
This was our first visit to Nopa and it was a birthday celebration. We love her sister restaurant, Nopalito in the Sunset and heard great things about Nopa but it did not live up to our expectations at all. The food was overpriced for the quality and the drinks were just okay. The desserts weren't really special or extravagant, they were just ok. We felt it was overrated for the price. We wouldn't go back but that doesn't mean it would not meet other folks expectations; it just didn't meet ours.
Love Nopa, always amazing, this trip was no exception. Great dining experience, keep up the good works folks!
We had a wonderful night at nopa. The food was really tasteful and the service was very polite and thoughtful. Would definitely recommend and will come back!
Waiter seemed like we were bothering him. Very strange vibe. Chicken was dry. Been to nopa many times but was surprised by service and food not being up to par.
Such a cute place, such great food! We loved our experience. The only downside was the noise level - it was a bit hard to talk.
Portions are small but light and healthy. The service could be better but busy for brunch.
Nopa is an amazing experience from start to finish. The restaurant is lively, the service is top-notch, and the food is excellent! I know chicken seems like a boring thing to order at a restaurant, but you will never eat a better chicken than at Nopa. A must-go place in San Francisco to eat.
One of our favorite Brunches in the City! Amazing french toast and Bloody Marys.
Nopa delivers consistently excellent food and service, this visit was no exception. One of my favorite spots in the city.
Never have a bad experience here. Just wish it was more easily available!
They make only 2 main plates vegetarian and the taste was not the best.
It's an ok place. Overpriced for what they serve.
And the waitress was a bit rude.
Very disappointed :/
Maybe for meat-eaters is better
Awesome food, service, and ambiance! I love the brunch menu options, especially the basic eggs and the house smoked bacon.
Cornelius took very good care of us at the bar. He is no nonsense and will openly disagree with you if your alteration to a cocktail means you’re going to miss having the best possible experience with that drink. We will be back.
Incredibly creative food preparations. Lots of healthy menu options. Nice vibe. Young and hip clientele. But SO hard to get reservations. We also like killing 2 birds with one stone by going grocery shopping at the fantastic Bi-Rite next door before dinner than taking Uber home.
Really special dinner here - every dish was delicious and the burger was really spectacular
We had a lovely brunch, with a fabulous waitress, and scrumptious food!
Nopa is a classic in the Bay Area. We love coming every season to see what twist they'll do with their classic dishes and what seasonal options we'd hate to miss. Creative and comforting food in a lively environment makes Nopa a treat each visit.
Really liked it but very expensive for what it is.
The food was almost perfect. My friend and I split a little gem salad, mushroom toast (the best!), charred broccoli with anchovy and French fries. It was delicious and too much food. We had a chocolate panna cotta with grapes dessert which was strange and much better with the grapes off.
The cocktail mr pink, sounded better than it was. It tasted like grapefruit juice with a splash of vodka. Nothing complex.
I hope to go back soon.
Good sized portions. The burger was truly delicious. We mentioned it was our anniversary and they sent us a complimentary dessert, which was really above and beyond. Service was great.
Their kitchen and front of the house team consistently knock it out of the park.
I usually enjoy Nopa but couldn’t find anything I liked on their limited menu. The vegetarian option was super heavy. Bread was good !
Too loud. Food was mediocre. Wine service barely perfunctory.
Food and service were excellent! Our server brought a dessert with a candle for my son’s birthday, which made it special for him! This is the kind of service that keeps me coming back and is why NOPA has been around for so long.
This place has a cool vibe and I like the open kitchen. It is described as Californian cuisine which it is but almost all the wines were Italian which was a bit of the disappointment. The wines were also over priced.the food was excellent with local ingredients. Our server was less than enthusiastic and not attentive at all. The rest of the staff is very good. Very noisy though.
Excellent experience from the service to the food and drink. A little loud as the space itself isn’t so big, but it was incredibly enjoyable nonetheless
Nopa was a solid restaurant but overhyped. I went there for brunch and must have had expectations that were far too high! The food was pretty good - something I could have cooked myself. The service and ambiance were very fun. Maybe it's better for dinner but brunch was pretty overrated.
Food was awesome!
Brother got engaged. Celebration dinner.
Fantastic food, knowledgeable and friendly staff and a great setting and atmosphere.
