the service was friendly but constantly hovering and swooping and clearing. we felt really rushed and plates were taken away so early and came out so quickly that our entire dinner (drinks appetizers entrees ...) was completed in 1 hour. not a great experience for the $.
We were there for a birthday and it was absolutely lovely from start to finish. The service was great, the food was phenomenal, and it was a really lively atmosphere to be celebrating in. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody.
Seated immediately even though two of three had not arrived. Prompt and low key service throughout. Appetizers of smoked salmon and fried “little fish” were fresh, tasty and decent sized. Mains of grilled salmon and their famous pork chop were outstanding. The pork chop was moist, flavorful and nicely paired with pickled red onions and grilled vegetables. Superb wine list and a hopping environment. Nopa is still a compelling restaurant with serious food and a welcoming warmth.
It was so nice and all the food looks and tasted great!
Great place for a little family get together. We had carnivores and vegans and we all left happy.
The brunch food was amazing, particularly the french toast and the burger. Cocktail could've used an improvement, it was a bit warm to be honest. Service was excellent although servers check in with you too many times interrupting conversation. I appreciate the attentiveness, though!

Loved the wood fired flavors of the hamburger and the pork chop! The noise level is quite high, so being tucked in an intimate corner was helpful.

Amazing food. Was not sure what the hype was about but this did not disappoint. We shared 5 appetizers and desert and every dish was delicious. Want to go back to try more and main dishes.
At the height of the brunch hours the upstairs got a little bit too loud for us to really hear what anybody - our waiter, or each others - said... "hard" surfaces (i.e. painted walls with not too many acoustic elements on the walls/roof to eat the sound) often are like this, but it can become weary after a while. Other ways a real good experience overall! Would recommend.

Nopa came highly recommended as a destination while visiting San Francisco and we had a really lovely brunch. Reservations are a must and the place was packed, but service was fast. Not the friendliest or most attentive service but they were very busy. The meal was nice overall--loved the tomato asiago lox bagel--and the brunch cocktails were a standout with fresh and inventive flavor combinations.
We had reservations and a group of 7. Everyone raves about what they ordered and no one left disappointed. I’d say that goes in the win column.

Took my boys for brunch on Saturday. Place was packed and people looked happy. My kids were excited to try their famous burger and french toast.
Service was excellent, my 11 y.o. felt like an adult, as he was asked for his preferences and was suggested a portion size by our waiter. Both of my boys loved their food and service, this was their first time in this restaurant, but I know for a fact that it is not their last, as I was asked to make a reservation for next week, even before we left :) With that said, if you haven't tried it yet, click that button, reserve a table, you wont regret it
As always, incredible experience at NOPA! Food, ambiance, service and drinks were all excellent and most importantly the quality is always consistent every time i come.
The staff was extremely condescending and acted like they didn’t want us to be there. The service took forever and the reservation did not run on time. The food was good but everything else made it not worth it.
Kept hearing how good the burgers are supposed to be. Not sure what all the hype is about. Ours were over cooked with french fries that were way too salty. Place is very noisy. Hard to have a conversation.
There were four of us, and we all had different dishes. I loved the rotisserie chicken, moist and flavorful, my wife thought the tagine was excellent, and our friends were delighted with the pork chops and the salmon. Too bad we didn't have room for the tempting desserts. Michelle, our waitress, was terrific, with a great sense of humor. When our friend didn't know which white wine she wanted, Michelle had several brought out for tasting. The only negative is the noise level, which makes it hard to converse.
We sat at the Chef's Counter and it was fun to watch all of the chefs in motion. Everything was orchestrated to perfection...we sat next to one of the owners who oversaw each plate that went out to customers. Lawrence was helpful, personable, fun to talk with...we were careful not to interrupt as food is NOT under heat lamps at all...it is prepped, cooked, inspected for perfection and delivered. If we lived in SF we would be there every week. The Peach Salad is scrumptious. Such a find.

It’s just ok. Very fine service can’t make up for limited menu selections during brunch that just weren’t exciting and were average in taste. One person in our party had the granola and felt they had had better in many other places coupled with a small portion size. In general portion sizes are small but most importantly, flavor want there.
Food was good but waiter was totally not interested in serving us. John was his name.
We loved the unique, creative menu. Also it was a really cool, bustling vibe. Our waitress was excellent, helpful and informative. I had the salmon which was excellent. My husband had the porkchop which we wanted to love, but seemed undercooked ( we know that pork can be cooked to lower temps but it wasn't our thing.) We were visiting San Fran for one night and glad we chose this restaurant to eat at!
