We had excellent service and a fabulous meal! The chicken croquette special appetizer was amazing, as were the meatballs and the bread pudding for desert! The cauliflower appetizer was the only mild disappointment. So many items on the menu appealed to me, I will definitely be back to sample more!
Yet again, noord was excellent. Liz was fabulous and quite charming. The art in the bathroom/gallery was all so beautiful. I especially liked the grumpy cat. We ordered the prawns and kibbeling for our first course and they were amazing. Then, the rabbit and the shellfish stew. Mind-blowing. Desserts are always a great finish to an outstanding meal; they only have three so get them all. Thank you noord! We’ll be back.
Our server, whose name I am forgetting because I am a bad person, was an absolute star. He was funny, informative, and basically made what was already an excellent meal THAT much better.
He was working on October 12th at 8:45 PM and I'll eat her any time if he's my server.
Also the mustard soup is unreal.
Perfect dinner for a fall evening. Very lively scene and welcoming chef/owner.
I can’t believe it took us this long to eat here. Food is delish and staff are phenomenal. Everything from the ambiance to the food was inviting and made me feel at home. Can’t wait to go back.
As usual, the selection of truly unique dishes were amazing and very tasty! The service was top notch - the very friendly and knowledgeable staff made the dining experience quite special.
Overall an enjoyable dinner, but was disappointed with our appetizer (smorrebrod).
Did not look like the photo from the website, or from other reviews from other patrons.
Only one topping on each of three pieces of bread, not the layered items as typically found on Scandinavian open-faced sandwiches. Only plain pickled herring, salmon and a fish pate, but nothing added to give the feel or taste of the actual Scandinavian or Northern European traditional sandwiches. Could have definitely used a little more attention to detail with dill, other herbs, lingonberries, etc. That was a disappointing beginning to our meal, but the man n dishes were better.
I really loved this restaurant! The service was excellent and the food was unique and delicious. The staff went above and beyond, and even made a special desert for us when we couldn't decide. I would definitely return.
This evening, like our other visits to Noord we had a wonderful meal. The staff is the best- friendly, funny, efficient and attentive.
Always fabulous. Best pork shoulder I have ever had!
Prompt and Courteous service, excellent food overall really good can’t wait to go back
Charming eatery, food was delightful service impeccable our first visit however already made reservations for our second visit.
Food was amazing, service incredible. Will definitely come again
It was the best brunch I’ve eaten
The French today is a must have
Feels like home
Wonderful menu. Charming and quiet atmosphere. And the staff is beyond compare. Truly one of the best dining experiences we have had in Philadelphia. This was our second visit and each time has been outstanding. Highly recommend.
The choices of protein and the flavors were awesome tonight. Very, very complex and pleasing blends of flavors. Service was top-notch by Louis. We will definitely be back.
Went for brunch. The options are very interesting and done perfectly. I tried the bread pudding French toast and smoked cod hash- both of which were excellent.
Always great service and food.
Fabulous service and food! Will absolutely come again..
Food was great. I especially loved the herring sliders. Great service. Noord is one of our favorite places.
It was perfect and delicious!
A very nice place. With an original touch to local receipts
We loved our brunch experience. Everything was delicious ! Make sure to bring your favorite wine, bubbly or vodka for brunch drinks. Service was really spot on too.
We had dinner at Noord on Saturday night. The food was amazing. We shared the mustard soup, prawns and the whole stripped bass special. Everything was delicious. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. The BYOB policy is a plus, too. Can’t wait to go back.
The food was absolutely amazing and very authentic. The waiter was super friendly and helpful. He made great suggestions and always wanted to make the meal the best for us.
We have been dining here occasionally since Noord first opened. Never disappointed. Offerings are always interesting and delicious. Service is always terrific and its a fun atmosphere.
Great food, even better service. All in all, Noord is a fantastic, memorable experience. I can’t wait to go back!
We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and great meal at Noord. Since our dinner last Friday, Noord has become our new favorite restaurant and nightspot in Philadelphia. Every part of the experience was special, yet comfortable. The dining room is cozy, but not crowded. There was a pleasant buzz of conversation, yet we could talk easily across the table. The serving staff was professional, but not impersonal. The menu is succinct and structured, but full of interesting choices of proteins and preparations. The taste palette is recognizable, yet distinctive and particular. We began with the mustard soup with smoked salmon, a difficult preparation calling for the perfect integration of the strong taste of grainy mustard into a cream vegetable base. Every speck was savored and sopped up with the hunk of hand-made bread that was brought to the table. We followed with an appetizer of fried cod, delicate and bright, without a hint or whiff of oil. For dinner we shared Gehaktballen, Dutch sirloin meatballs, with potatoes, carrots and lingonberry sauce, and Waterzooi, a shellfish stew with mussels, clams, and shrimp in a spinach and beer cream sauce. The sirloin was tender, perfectly done and blessed by the lingonberry sauce. The seafood stew was hearty, aromatic, and, again, the bread was a perfect instrument for finishing off the stewing liquid. A perfect ending for dessert was a dense, torte-like almond flavored cake with a crème fraiche and brandy topping and coffee served in a full French press right at the table. Noord is byo and our two bottles of wine, one red and one white, were skillfully and unobtrusively served and stored without any “bottle fee.” We had a thoroughly good time and great meal at Noord and will go back as soon as possible, with friends.
Wonderful service. Vinegar braised rabbit was the highlight
Excellent food in a very pleasant setting. We were seated immediately. We were there for brunch. I had their classic French Toast, which was delicious and came with interesting, tasty berries and an abundance of very good whipped cream. My wife had an excellent omelette. We had some special diet requests, and those were handled very well.
Food is delicious and service is exceptional. We always feel welcome and treated like family!!!
The food is great but Luis is excellent 🥇
Food was great and our service amazing - our server even told us what dishes not to get. We can’t wait to go back!
Not only was the food incredible but the hospitality and service was outstanding. The 2 servers working the front of the house
The food was amazing, would highly recommend the mussels appetizer and vinegar braised rabbit entree. Service was impeccable, attentive and welcoming. We’ll be back soon!
Great food and very nice ambiance. Service could have been better as waitress was cold, distant and not very attentive
Great food and service. Louis was top notch and took care of our every need.
This was the best service I’ve ever received in my entire life. Louis was an absolute joy! He calmed us down when we were running late, grabbed our bottle of wine, and sat us outside with some chairs until a table was ready. He saw we were stressed and immediately set up the night to be amazing. From there, he went above and beyond. I can’t say enough about him and would recommend this place to anyone I care about.
