Since discovering Noona a couple of months ago it has become my favorite restaurant! Love the pork lettuce wraps and while all the meat and oysters are really good I’m always amazed at their gift for perfectly cooking fish! Fish of the day and the Grouper are always amazing!
I had the braised ribs and was very happy. Large portion and very tasty. If you ask for a wedge salad be prepared to eat a lot of lettuce. Next time my husband and I would split that. Very good - just way too much for one.
My husband had the shrimp and grits. He is from SC so he has high standards. They were not southern style but my husband ate the whole plate full and was very happy with it.
We plan to go back and try the steak. Will let you know:)
Always great. We had the bacon wrapped duck (fantastic) and the scallops (brilliant). Had the octopus appetizer and it was even better than the last time…seemed to have a bit more spicy kick.
The food is stunning, we went for our first wedding anniversary and had a lovely time.
Excellent! Only area of concern...bar service (drinks, wine) was slow.
We loved everything!
We celebrated our anniversary and it was amazing from the greeting all the way up until the end of the meal. The food was delicious and well prepared. Our server joy was excellent very helpful and informative and delivered great service. 10 out of 10 this is a great place and the food is amazing.
Good food & service!
The food was delicious, the service was excellent. Great acoustics too - perfect to have a conversation as a group of 6. Highly recommend.
Service and ambience was great, however there was quite a bit of fat on the ribs than I like. Overall, great experience.
Incredible food and service! Top Notch
College graduation celebration dinner. Great overall service, timing was great, glasses kept full, server was excellent and friendly. Food was average but pricey. Octopus was tough not tender. Kimchi was very salty- for me it was overpowering. I had the salmon which, I love salmon and it’s natural flavor, would eat daily, but this was heavily covered with sauce such that it was not complimentary, but rather the salmon’s flavor was drowned out. Others had ribeyes that were ok not fabulous, another had gourmet burger that also was ok not $19 fabulous. The strawberry forever specialty craft cocktail tasted like a bland slushy. We enjoyed outside dining on the patio, but, sorry, for a $$$$ venue, a rickety, wobbly, crooked table is a disappointment.
Also, reservations asked if it was a special occasion, indicating they might do something special such as a personalized plate for the grad, but our server had obviously never been given the message. The experience was just average, nothing special or extraordinary. If the prices were more like $$-$$$, and there were not so much media hype, I would not be so critical, but we chose this for a once-in-lifetime celebratory event, and were completely underwhelmed.
Meet all my expectations!
Kimchi Fried Rice was delicious, Scallops & Duck Entrees were amazing! Oysters were fantastic and loved the vinegarette that was served with the oysters! Spinach Salad was fantastic!
The food was delicious. Both of us got the lettuce wraps to start. The pork in them was so tender. My colleague got the scallops for her entree and I had the duck. Both were amazing. We shared the bread pudding and green tea cheesecake. So good!
Really great experience! The service was great and the good even better. We split the octopus appetizer and then had the salmon and the blackened grouper. Bother were fantastic and the kimchi fried rice served with the salmon was exceptionally good.
The restaurant was noisy and kimchi fried rice was salty. It will be awhile until I return. I felt like the waiter was rushing us.
Variety of items ordered for our table of 6 - Everyone loved their entree.
Fabulous & delicious dinner!! Thanks to our waitress Danielle for her service & attention, the hostess & bartender for great drinks! We're looking forward to our next visit!
Great food and great service.
Great unique delicious wood fire food and amazing ambience.
Awesome Awesome Awesome
Thank you so much for an amazing dinner! I came here after getting proposed too!! They made the night perfect! A night to remember all around!
Steaks and seafood were seasoned very well, but the steaks were served near room temperature. The grouper was awesome! Prices were higher than the value. Will most likely try again.
We asked for a Med steak. The $70 steak was well done so we asked that they replaced it and the server asked us to prove it by cutting into the steak just in case it was medium in the middle. So we cut right into it to prove it to her. I think she could have done that herself but after seeing we were telling the truth she took it back. We then got another steak and they asked us again to cut into it. We said it was perfectly cooked. After taking a few bites. We had this deep bitterness that had to be washed off with a drink for every bite. They were able to make the middle perfectly medium but the outside was extremely bitter. The hostess said it was due to the way they cooked it with open flame. This was our first time and my wife’s birthday. I was extremely disappointed with the steak. We also had the oysters and duck which were delicious. I want to make sure that this place should not be chosen for expensive steak.
Fantastic place to have a nice dinner. I love the Asian fusion it’s a mix between fancy and casual.Great for a date night! Not to mention the OYSTERS 😍
Everything was wonderful! We can't wait to go back! The duck breast was amazing and so was the grouper! We are planning our next dinner and bringing friends!!
Food and drinks were amazing! They even brought us dessert with a candle for my husband’s birthday.
Easter Brunch at Noona did not disappoint! We’ve been a number of times for dinner and decided to try it for a family brunch today. We were really excited to see they were actually open for brunch. We started with raw oysters from VA which were delicious. George’s mignonette sauce in the little blue medicine dropper bottle is the perfect accessory to the oysters. The Eggs Benedict with fried oysters was also wonderful! The catfish and vegetable frittata were great too! We finished the brunch, after a long Lenten season with no sugar, with the bread pudding and chocolate cake! It was a fantastic meal with exceptional service! We now plan to go for Mother’s Day Brunch!
Food was delicious, staff was very friendly
Hubby and I were out for our first date in a restaurant since Covid. We had a wonderful time! The food was so, so good, the spacing of seating was adequate for social distancing and the overall ambiance was nice. Our server, Daniel, was friendly and made great suggestions from the menu. We will definitely be back.
Food was good but the place is not appropriate for such prices, for a restaurant with steaks of such prices I normally prefer a more formal setup.
Service was not good they were not prepared to attend properly all tables and drinks and food were taking a long time. It's nice if you're by the area but doesn't worth the drive.
Our anniversary dinner at Noona was everything we wanted it to be. We wanted to try a new to us restaurant, some seafood, and some quieter ambiance. The Rockefeller oysters were amazing, as was the salmon and burger. The service was good and the servers were knowledgeable. The cocktails were also very tasty.
Great food. Great service. Very accommodating staff.
Wonderful birthday celebration! Excellent! Will visit again!
Overall, great establishment! Oysters were really good! If you dab into the cocktails menu, be sure to grab yourself a "pain killer". Thank me later!
We always love spending time here. We went for my daughters 14th birthday and they did not disappoint. The dishes there are always on point. I’ve never had a bad dish!
Noona is always our favorite date night spot in Duluth. The food and cocktails are delicious and consistent at every visit! They put so much care and detail into each patron. George, the owner, is so friendly and attentive, Lydia the bartender makes some of our favorite cocktails, and the chef takes time to come say hi to customers. It’s a fantastic local spot!
Guess they were short staffed. Food was cold, braised short rids were tough and fatty (and cold). Fish was good but mushrooms / garnish was cold. Took over an hour to get our food... we lost our waitress for a long time...drinks took forever.
This is a very good place with really good food and are frequent visitors of this establishment. Will we go again, yes... but when they're fully staffed ;-) (btw, the chef gave us drinks on the house and desert which was cool).
