Nook - Tucson
Enjoy exceptional service and a friendly atmosphere at Nook. It's a wonderful spot for enjoying a delicious meal while catching up with old acquaintances over lunch. Nook is located just south of the Prima County Public Library on East Congress Street. It opened in 2015 and has become a trendy eatery that serves up New American cuisine. Owners Nikki and Matt Thompson along with Todd Anderson are fellow Tucsonans who love their community. Local artists have work showcased throughout this contemporary restaurant.
Nook also prides itself on serving up locally sourced food. Try the Godfather Benedict with prosciutto, arugula, poached egg hollandaise and balsamic drizzle for breakfast, or come down during lunch for a green corn tamale pie with cabbage salad. It offers take-out service and is open for breakfast and lunch during the week. This restaurant also serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
Cinnamon Roll Griddlecakes
brown sugar swirl, cream cheese frosting
Breakfast Tamale Pie*
house-made corn masa, fire roasted chilis + cheese, ranchero sauce, salsa, eggs
Patio is very nice. The griddle cakes are not to be missed!
We had requested the patio - a shady table, so we had to wait a bit. Our service was pretty good at the beginning, but as usual, we had to ask for the bill and then wait for it to be processed☹️
I haven't been back for a long time and it was a very good experience to the outdoor setting of this restaurant.
We had to wait quite a bit but then the staff was nice enough to give a discount for the wait. And the egg Benedicts were among the best I have ever had (I would rate them second after Sarabeth NY). Also very cool outside space and top produce.
Excellent Breakfast -mmm- especially cinnamon roll griddlecakes are so delicious -mm-
We visit Nook every time we go to Tucson. Their food is delicious and we like their options, which are not all your typical breakfast dishes. We felt comfortable with their handling of covid (spacing of tables, mask wearing, etc).
Once again Nook was a wonderful Valentines Day dinner date. The food was very flavorful and the service was excellent.
Throughly enjoyed our experience at the Nook. The food was wonderful, the service was top notch, they were busy but that didn’t change the detail or quality of the food at all. Everything came out perfectly cooked, presentation was beautiful. We will definitely be dining there again.
Wide variety of great offerings. Our party of four had different dishes, all tasty and generously sized. Service friendly and attentive. What a surprise to find an attractive patio, off street, downtown. Will return.
Very nice place for brunch - loved the Eggs Benedict and the Smashburger. Also, had a Mexican Candy Mimosa that was delicious and original. Would recommend.
Brunch entrees were remarkable and well priced. Getting a side of cinnamon roll griddlecakes to share for only 4 dollars is a deal you simply cannot pass up out to brunch with a friend or partner. Had the breakfast tamale pie and wife had the chickpea cake benedict. Incredible breakfast food doesn't just drown in grease.
Good food, clean atmosphere, the service was very slow and our server forgot to bring us two dishes we ordered. Breakfast was well over an hour and a half
Lovely outdoor dining area! Would love to go back in the evening sometime.
If you go for brunch, get the cinnamon roll griddle cakes! OMG so good!
Neat brunch spot in downtown Tucson. Food and service were fantastic!
Amazing service and food as always. Came right at opening and it was very quiet and nice. Food price is extremely reasonable for the quality and portions. One of my fave pure breakfast places to go.
Enjoyed unique drinks and delicious brunch here...cute atmosphere too
We loved our brunch at Nook! We originally selected this restaurant based on the fact that it had an aesthetically pleasing and large outdoor patio dining area. The service was excellent and our food was delicious! The yogurt parfait, smashed hash and breakfast burrito were some of our favorites. We highly recommend this spot for brunch!
Great outside open outside sitting, excellent foods and well staffed.
We never actually had a server. The hostess did her best, but it was too much to ask of her to seat everyone and end up being our server. I don't know if the restaurant was short-staffed or this is the norm. Also from seating to receiving food was 50 minutes. The food was excellent, so we would be willing to try again and hoping this was just a tough Sunday for them.
Almost amazing cinnamon roll pancakes! Would eat these all the time if I could. Great menu options and my husband loved his steak and eggs
We tried The Godfather Benedict & griddle cakes & hash. All Delicious! Cute little place with great food. I would recommend it!
Always a winner. Best place to visit when we visit our kids in college.
Came down from Phoenix for a day trip to Tucson. Looked online through the open table app and found this restaurant. When we arrived it was right in downtown and the restaurant had a Flagstaff vibe to it. There were paintings all over and had a collective ambiance. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese burger. The egg came sunny side up, the bacon was amazing so was the actual burger patty, it came with fries but you can choose smashed hash browns or a salad. The fries were just as good. Probably one of the best meals I have had. The service and staff were also amazing. Would definitely recommend it.
Probably our new favorite breakfast destination in Tucson!!
We enjoyed our brunch a lot (especially the scones). It was a bit noisy, not unexpected for a Saturday brunch.
Nook always has good food and always great service. Their outdoor area is open and nice as well
Fun atmosphere, great portion size! Would go again for brunch.
Hidden gem in the heart of tucson. The ambience was excellent and the staff was friendly.
Was a very pleasant surprise. Service could have been better but they are short staffed due to the virus but it was worth the wait
Awesome food, awesome staff, great prices.
Great Food! We were in Tucson for a few days and ate here 3 times. Service was great and the food was excellent
This place is amazing! A group of friends and I had brunch here twice while visiting Tucson, everything we tried was delicious and the staff were wonderful.
I have been there once before and it was great just as I remembered.
The food and service is always great! Weather is cooling down and the outside seating is perf!
It’s my go-to for brunch with my best friend. Great food
We stumbled upon Nook as it was close to our hotel and one of the few restaurants open. It was excellent! We ended up eating breakfast here all three days we were in town. It served up great food, wonderful attentive servers, good menu choices and appropriate safety protocols. I especially appreciate the menu marking gluten-free options.
Went here with my fiancé’s family for a brunch on Sunday! The place was really cool and had a hip vibe! It was a little noisy while we were there but overall a good meal.
We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Everything was fantastic. We had Bloody Mary's, a breakfast burrito, eggs benedict and lox. Every bite of food was wonderful and the service was top-notch. We sat outside as a nice change of pace. It started to get pretty hot as we left so I am glad we arrived when we did. Thanks for a great meal.
Great service and the food was amazing :)
