Nonnina Ratings and Reviews
My nephew is allergic to eggs and the servers made sure to ask if there were any food allergies. One of the pastas had eggs so he returned to inform us and gave us an egg free pasta option which we opted for. The service is great and the food is even better!
I really wanted to love Nonnina! We had a great table on the enclosed porch where it was quite chilly but still nice, it was 13 degrees out so that is to be expected. We got to the restaurant at 6:30 and had a show at 8. We got an appetizer of meatballs which was fantastic and then at 7:45 still had not received our food. Unfortunately, we had to leave and cancel our order. The manager said this was not the first time it happened tonight and he was upset and discounted our drinks. The meatballs were so good, I will definitely try it again, maybe for lunch. Disappointed about the service, but know it happens.
I have been there twice in 3 months. Food is consistently very good (The prosciutto app and the tagliatelle followed by the chocolate mousse is my fav combo so far) and the kitchen is efficient (no long wait to get food). It is a cozy and comfortable atmosphere with a nice sized bar area. The only issue is the noise level is high - not sure what can be done about that. Overall, I would recommend and I will be back !
wow. Nonnina is my new favorite restaurant. I will start with their fresh pasta is amazing. My girl is vegetarian and found plenty to eat. The cauliflower was delicious. Did I mention the pasta? It is making my mouth water as I think about it. The staff is great. Ricardo came over and talked me out of the wine I was going to order and sold me a less expensive bottle and it was delicious. I can't wait to go back. I could eat here every day.
This was our second time dining at Nonnina. The food was great. The wine I ordered was not the year listed on the wine list. Unfortunately they didn’t have that year anymore. I accepted a different year and it was fine. Service was attentive. We will continue to dine here in the future.
I chose birthday as a special occasion when making the reservation on Open Table, not expecting too much. We were seated in a cozy corner table. After a delicious dinner, my desert came on a special plate with “Happy Birthday “ written in chocolate and our waiter sang “Happy Birthday” to me! I felt very special and taken care of.
Oh and the food was fantastic!
Really disappointing . Expected much more from the sister to piccolo Sogno . Food was not anything to write about and when I mentioned that my veal not only didn't taste right it tasted like bad meat there was no offer of removing from the bill when I declined ordering something else (I left almost the entire plate of meat). Probably will never go back
New Year's Eve dinner was excellent for all four of us this night. One conclusion I reached after 4 visits to Noninna's - service is always outstanding. The pasta is the best entrees on the menu. I've had a couple of secondi's and been a little disappointed - they don't seem to measure up to the pasta dishes. Salads are great also, as are the interesting appetizers. Noninna's was a first visit for the couple we brought with us and they concluded they will return! Enough said.
Amazing service and food! When we were first seated, our table of 4 felt a little cramped, so we kindly asked to be moved to a slighted bigger table near the window and the manager was happy to move us over. Super accommodating and pleasant staff all around!
We had dinner at Nonnina before going to the theater and were very happy with the experience. The menu was varied and had so many delicious-sounding options. The wine list was good and the pour was generous. Our waiter did an excellent job of pacing our courses so that we weren't hurried, but didn't have to rush to get to the show. Out appetizers, salads and main courses were delicious. We would definitely go back.
Food was delicious and the service was top notch. We had a severe allergy ,vegan, and a picky eater with us. He was very knowledgeable about how the food was prepared and very accommodating to their needs.
It was below zero that evening so we were super excited that they had valet parking.
Will definitely add Nonninas to our favorites in the city!
Very busy and (on Christmas Eve) hectic restaurant . Service was impeccable however the food was disappointing particularly at this price point. Seafood soup arrived lukewarm and tasteless. A lobster risotto, one of the premium items on the menu, was presented in a sauce which was too sweet and with a very small lobster content. The chocolate mousse dessert was no better than average.
Food was great, service was great. My only issue was being seated in a small room next to two large family groups with tons of kids screaming. When spending good money for a meal I don't want to sit next to children. The room was SO loud we couldn't hear our own conversations.
Love Nonnina. The staff from the manager...can't remember his name....to my server...thin tall latino guy we had outstanding service. They were absolutely swamped and only had one table left for us. They accommodated us and we never knew they were busy other than the servers were moving fast and busting their butt. It was very loud but we could hear each other. Their ambiance is really nice. They make their own pasta.
II ordered the frutti di mare and the waiter made it sound like there would be lots of seafood. They were very skimpy on the seafood so I was very disappointed. Not only that, the dish was bland . And the bill was not cheap. The bread was also not very fresh. The only decent item I had this evening was a cauliflower appetizer. I will not be recommending this restaurant.
Worse food and service. We went here based on the reviews. There was 5 of us and we had an early reservation before the crowds. Service was extremely slow. Never saw our waiter. Didn’t get bread until we asked. Ordered off the menu 1 dish lemon chicken and was dry and no taste. Very disappointed and would not go back.
