Nonna’s Cucina is home to an authentic regional menu featuring cuisine from Abruzzo, a region that is often regarded as one of Italy’s best-kept secrets. Nonna’s Cucina offers Abruzzese cooking which still carries the same customs from years of uninterrupted traditions. Expect wholesome and rustic dishes with an emphasis on simple and traditional food which makes the most out of humble ingredients.  

Positioned at the historic Floodgate Hotel on the Crockford and Ingles Street in Port Melbourne, the modern and stylish venue invites diners to relax and socialise. The approachable menu showcases traditional Italian dishes of sharing antipasto plates, homemade pasta, gnocchi and risotto dishes, meat / seafood and homemade desserts. The menu also features daily specials including a fish of the day.

                                                  Appauling. Disgusting. Disappointing. We waited 1hr 45mins for mains which never arrived so we left. The chef wiped his face and hair with his hands and then mixed the salad with his hands without washing them. Don’t bother going there

                                                  Wine prices were outrageous for this type of restaurant. There were 6 red wines on the menu and prices were, 1 x $55, 2 x $83, 1 x $87, 1 x $150 and 1 x $240. To ad insult to $$$ injury they had sold out of the $55 bottle. I would not go back at these price levels for wine that is to be served along side pasta. regards
