My husband and I love this place! The Menu is excellent; with delicious food, great wine, cocktails and tasty deserts.
The atmosphere is romantic. The service is original and professional.
Great place to get together with friends. Drinks where outstanding, food and service was great.
The service and food were exceptional!
Nonna is so yummy, with great service, and beautiful atmosphere; just like going to our Nonna's home for a special dinner.
We had a delightful dinner with friends in the covered patio room, which had a unique & magical ambiance. The food was great, from appetizer through dessert. And our server, Allie, deserved an A+ for overall quality. We shall return ... soon!
I celebrated a birthday meal here and I knew better not to order ribeye steak at an Italian restaurant. It was not cooked well enough and it was sent back to be recooked -when it returned all the asparagus was charred and the meat was no longer juicy and tender but dry and charred. The fried calamari and shrimp was fried in light batter and was crispy with mayo sauce. The fettuccine Bolognese was the best I’ve had since my trip to Rome Italy and it tasted just like the European style entree. The Panna Cotta for desert was creamy and chocolate drizzle was delicious —the sweet custard would have been better with raspberry sauce. The bread was hard and not freshly toasted but there was a tomatoe red dipping sauce that was in place of butter. The service is excellent and there is wide selection of Italian entrees. Just make sure you stick to pasta dishes which is their specialty. My husband had the lasagna and he loved the layers of cheese and pasta which he enjoyed with the bottle of wine we brought.
Good service, attentive but not overbearing. Food came quickly, but not rushed, nice flavors. Ambience was very energetic and would prefer next time sitting in the outer area to be more quiet rather than inside next to bar and larger grouped tables, as it made conversation hard to hear. Of course it had to do with time our reservation choices were either 5:45 or 7:45, we chose the earlier to get in, by 6:15 it was standing room only on a Friday night, overall it was nice to get away for a special night.
It’s been a number of times I’ve been there. Everything is really very good. Our waitress was quite pleasant and the whole serving team is very competent. Great place 👍
Best Restaurant in Conejo for any event. Food, ambiance, a true "Cheers" bar scene since the TV show of the same name.
The restaurant is beautiful and the service is great. Just for the price, i was expecting a lot more. The food is very average. I have given it 2 tries and was disappointed each time. Won’t be coming back
Hello DaynM, Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review. I apologize you did not enjoy your experience, I see you ordered a Panzanella Salad and you add romaine, i can understand why you would not like that, we always suggest not to make changes on traditional recipe cause what it can happens is that you may wont like the dish you created. I also was able to see from your check that the PRICE for both your dinner was a total of $48.00 and $10 was a complimentary desserts.
The restaurant was Very Loud and challenging to hear each other let alone the waiter. The Food was good but really overpriced the quantity and quality. Two people for pasta each, 2 glasses of wine, the bill was 150.00. Way overpriced for pasta.
Hello Terry, Thank you for taking the time to review us. From our record looks like you had a total of 4 glasses of wine ($56), 1 Spaghetti Marinara ($19) , 1 Branzino ($34), 1 Tiramisu ($10) the Total of your food was $122 with tax and gratuity your total bill was $150. Out of 7 items on your bill only one was Pasta, let me know if you made any mistakes on your check and i will be happy to reverse the charges. Thank you!
Nonna is ALWAYS AMAZING with gracious hosts and the sweetest staff! Their food is the BEST in town! I highly recommend the branzino, any of the homemade pastsa, and dessert is a MUST!!
Nonna’s is the best. We love celebrating there. The food is exquisite. Love the wine pairings too.
Excellent food and service. Great place!
We felt the food wasn’t quit as good as we had expected for such an occasion such as New Year and for a price point of $95 per person we felt it fell rather short
New Years Eve. Beautiful patio seating. Food was ok. Salty. We spoke to manager who said that everyone has a different palette. I did not think this was the best response when most of our party thought the food was overly salted. He did remove the corkage fee. Personally wouldn't go back.
Allie our server was wonderful. We were there for New Years Eve. Great food and a fun evening.
Never disappoints.....festive for New Years...would go back next year!!!
The service and food is amazing! Love this place. We went for New Year’s Eve but early. Sooo relaxing and beautiful. Nice music as well.
We arrived early and asked if we could be seated inside as our 3rd came down with the flu. The hostesses did a great job in finding my wife and I the perfect booth, incredibly comfortable and quiet. The service and food were impeccable and I highly recommend Nonna to all my friends. It’s our second visit and we will be back soon.
Food was good, as was the service. It was very busy on a Sunday evening. It is quite loud - we were there to have dinner and exchange gifts with friends and it was hard to have a normal conversation. And we were seated by the kitchen. But the food was good, prices are reasonable. We will definitely go back.
Went for our anniversary and had a great evening. The food was very good and our server was phenomenal. This place will be joining our rotation!
They are always consistent in providing great food, great service and fun atmosphere!
Food and service are fantastic. Have eaten here several times and is always consistently great. The only issue is the noise level. It is very loud and difficult to hear but the service and food more than make up for it.
Great food with great service and friendly staff.
Really enjoyed the evening. Food and service was great.
Very nice restaurant with great authentic Italian food. Would definitely recommend. The only thing we didn’t appreciate was that the server came to take the check off the table before we left. It always gives me the impression that they cannot wait to see the amount you left for a tip. Better to wait until customers leave. Also makes you feel rushed.
Even in absence of the principal Chef the food quality was superb! The service attention and the personalized one from the barman who came to the table to ascertain the wishes for a perfect gin martini was, as usual, optimal. Good to see a prolonged and well deserved success for Jacopo and the Team. John must be just highly satisfied....
All the best for the new year! DE MASI
Great atmosphere and terrific staff. Food was phenomenal
Still the best Italisn food in the Conejo Valley! Our favorite!
Too loud. I don’t like having to yell over dinner just to be heard by my guests. Restaurant is very French Chateau for an Italian place but pretty. Pasta was good, not great. Small portion size but was just enough.
Love it here
We found Nonna in the 805 Magazine. Looked on line and was recommended to eat in the Patio, which was a very good choice. They had heaters in the Patio, which made it comfortable and the ambiance was very enjoyable, lights and greenery. It was also not as noisy as inside. The server, Molly, was very friendly and knowledgeable, made the evening fun. We enjoyed our Pasta special, but a good variety of dishes. We plan to go back with friends.
Food was spectacular. Service was top notch.
Love the atmosphere have been there many times. Food was great. My friends thought way too noisy very loud.
Dined with a friend and business colleague on a busy Tuesday night - the restaurant was bustling and lively with cheerful diners. We had a quiet table off to the side and enjoyed we could freely talk and enjoy the evening. The bread came with a wonderful marinara-style dipping sauce that contained almonds to give it a thickness and richness. My friend enjoyed her Caesar salad and chicken parmigiana. My arugula artichoke salad had a lot of wonderful elements about it - cheese, nuts and a hint of sweetness in the dressing that all melded well together. My branzino came out perfect -- it tasted extraordinarily fresh, as if the fish had jumped out of the ocean and into the roasting pan. The chef simply dressed it with just a sprinkling of toasted breadcrumbs and had roasted lemon to dress it with. It came with a mélange of Mediterranean accompaniments.
Great neighborhood Italian food, like "Nona" would make. Felt rustic and fresh. I really enjoyed the bread and tapenade starter. Fresh pasta was really tasty, and great wine list. Decor is pretty and updated. The outside patio is comfortable even in the winter. Tables are close together but found it a lively and friendly atmosphere, which made for a fun evening. We'll be back.
Lots of parties for the holidays which made the restaurant quite noisy but food was very good and service was very attentive
Service was fantastic, food was fantastic, bartender was fantastic.
