Fantastic time at Nonna. This was my second time here. I loved it so much the first time that I brought my coworkers while they were in town. Excellent service and superb food + wine in a wonderful atmosphere in the heart of Little Italy.

We had a wonderful experience here. We had a 6PM reservation. We were seated immediately. I ordered the Salmon which was cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the chicken which he said was so tender he could cut it with a fork. Our server was exceptional. We will definitely be back.

We have eaten many times at Nonna's and brought 4 friends. Good food as always. I do wish the romaine lettuce in the Caesar salad was a bit crisper, though. We ate inside and it was a bit too noisy for us.

I love this place and go back again and again. Enthusiastic staff and amazing food in a great outdoor dining ambience. The dessert selection is killer with their own bakery and gelato!! What more could you ask for outside of Italy?

We ordered the focaccia bread, margarita pizza, and pasta carbonara. The focaccia was good (the best tasting of the meal), however, it is very heavy and will be a filler unless you share it with 5 other people (it's huge like a pie). The pizza was okay. We thought it was a bit bland and slightly undercooked. It didn't have the crispness on the edges. Also, there wasn't fresh mozzarella on the pizza but shredded (and very little basil). The carbonara was okay as well. The pasta was cooked well but the cream sauce itself was a bit on the bland side, and the meal could have used something else to give it some variety of flavor. Overall, I will pass and try one of the many other Italian restaurants in the area in the future.

Eggplant dish was very bitter ( should have been prepared earlier) no bread with the saucy food unless you pay $9.00 ( we already got bruschetta). We were visiting from Minnesota to celebrate our son, a US Marine’s, deployment homecoming. The food was delicious and featured interesting combinations, like seafood lasagna! The back patio was refreshing and created a quieter ambiance than the street while still feeling like eating outdoors. And we took some delicious cannoli home for dessert later! 😀

There are too many other good restaurants in Little Italy so don’t waste your time or money visiting this one. We had a reservation for 4 at 5pm on 9/3. We showed up on time and had to wait 5-10 minutes even though the restaurant was relatively slow. We were brought to our table outside, as we requested in the reservation. The waiter went over the specials and answered any questions. When we placed our order we asked that the pasta be cooked al dente to which we were told this is a Sicilian restaurant and the pasta is always Al dente. We ordered chicken parm with rigatoni, RIGATONI PALERMITANA, GAMBERI FRA DIAVOLO, calamari, and focaccia bread. They brought out the calamari and it was the sorriest looking calamari I have ever seen. It was basically white as paper and tasteless and chewy. The focaccia was okay, although most Italian restaurants in this are include bread with the meal, at Nina’s if you want bread you have to buy it. They put the chicken parm plate down and the chicken was not only not covered with any sauce but it was literally burned, as in black, on one side and it bounced off the plate. We sent that back and they brought out another one which was much better. In both dishes of the rigatoni palermitana, the pasta was so overcooked that it just fell apart in the plate. We did not opt to return these dishes as we didn’t want to seem snooty. I don’t know how this restaurant gets highly rated reviews because it is the worst Italian restaurant we have eaten at in Little Italy so far. We are locals here and walk to and eat in Little Italy frequently. Whether you are a tourist or local stay clear of this restaurant. BTW, There were literally about six rigatonis that accompanied the chick parm and they were cooked perfectly, the second time around. The restaurant did Como the chicken parm, calamari, and one glass of wine which was nice but we would have preferred better food and pay full price.

Overall, a good experience. We were immediately seated, and our waiter was very good offering service. The reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is we were expecting bread at the table prior to our meal. In fact no bread was ever served. Also, the Caeser salad was very dry (we both had to ask for additional dressing (it was a paste type dressing which was very thick but flavorful). Both entrees were excellent. Would recommend this restaurant.

Though the calamari was not rubbery at all, the garlic for the costolette was not even, which made some parts of the gravy heavier than expected. As for the value, yes, it was all very delicious! But there was no bread service that came with the meal. So, the price point of the meal reminded me that I am in a very touristy area. Whereas the gelato I had later was decently priced. I would have expected it the other way around if the gelato isn't meant to be a loss leader.

Came here for my daughter’s birthday. All the plates were delicious. The lamb was really juicy and tender. I had the shrimp diavolo. My daughters ordered tortellini and lasagna. The servings are generous. We will definitely be dining here again.
