Superb food, as always. Service a little uneven this time; e.g., had to wait a long time just to get some coffee (because they order it from the bar). And we should have asked the price of their specialty pasta dish with truffles -- wonderful, but a shock when we got the bill. Still the best fine dining in town!
What a great dining experience! The food and service were amazing. Best Italian food in town. We also enjoyed a really good bottle of wine and had drinks before dinner at the rooftop bar.
I had the Wild Boar pasta and it was exquisite. The service was wonderful and while it did take a little more time than expected to order we saw many attend to our table that were not our "server". I really appreciate the way they worked together. The double boned pork chop was cooked to perfection and the caprese appetizer was phenomenal. I had tiramisu and I haven't had one that well done since I lived in Seattle over 20 years ago.
We had a fabulous evening! Everything was great, and thank you Brandi for providing exceptional service.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. Starting with the valet parking that was free( we tipped the valet), we felt very special. We walked into the beautiful Fairmont Boutique Hotel and loved the decor. Every employee was welcoming and friendly. We checked into our reservation a little early. We took the elevator to the roof top bar and had a lovely look around. They have nice heaters up there. We made our way to our table and hear a few people say they would be back because they did not have a reservation...highly recommend a reservation. Other guests were celebrating special events as well. Nice to see there are still places to go where people know how to dress and act nice. We had complimentary champaign sent to our table🍾 and the bread and olive dip was super good. Could not stop eating it. The cocktails where spot on a tasty! My husband ordered the pork chop and I had the gnocchi and salmon. Everything was super fresh and amazing. I think we have found our new favorite restaurant for special life events!
I am afraid I have been more impressed with the food in previous visits...but the service was superb and I will return again....Some of the spice levels of the food and presentation were not as excellent as my previous visits.....
Our dinner would have been perfect, but the noise level was so high, we couldn’t hear a thing unless we shouted.
The only criticism is there aren’t any prices on the menus. We ordered two pasta dishes that were $70 each!
The food was awesome...Cheers to Chef!
The fish was incredible and I had the pleasure tasting the octopus at previous lunch...Excellent!
We had a wonderful time at Nonna Osteria. My husband and I had dinner here and enjoyed the food, the great service, and the atmosphere. We were taken care of Rylan and he was great in giving us suggestions. We can’t wait to come back!
Delicious food and incredible staff. Will be back again next time we're in San Antonio!
Absolutely lovely experience. The staff, the food and the drinks were wonderful. There is a beautiful view of the tower of America’s from the inside and the smell of all the delicious food was intoxicating. I highly recommend.
Easily one of my favorite, if not favorite restaurant in San Antonio. The Granchio & Tartufo is a must!
My husband and I tried out another local high end Italian restaurant so it made it want to try out Nonna. The ambiance was nice and the roof top was a must see but the rest was a bit disappointing. We tried the parmagiana, which was cold by the time it got to our table, a roasted vegetable plate which was actually quite good, carbonara was fine, and the pizza did not have much flavor at all. But the cocktail I had was unique and hit the spot. For the price of the restaurant we expected a lot more. I would not return to this restaurant due to there being better options near by.
It was a very good meal. I had the caprese salad, Margherita pizza, and hazelnut dessert. I loved the caprese salad. I almost ordered another. The pizza was good as well. The dessert was decent but I would have like it better without hazelnut. My friend ordered the squash soup, which was delicious. I would say this is a good place for a nice dinner or just a vacation meal. You’ll see people dressed for both
Nonna Osteria is consistently great since it opened, but the Valentine’s Day Day Prix Fixe was hands down one of the best meals my wife and I have had at any restaurant, regardless of cuisine or city. Service and a management were fantastic and accommodating as always. Can not recommend Nonna enough.
We went on Valentine’s Day so it was very busy and slightly rushed, but the food is so amazing. I would go back for the food and to enjoy a more relaxed dinner.
Nonna usually has fantastic food. Valentines Fay prop fix menu was not up to the usual standard.
It was valentines day 2020 with a fixed menu.. 4 courses.. first off the price for S.pellengrino here is $12 for a small bottle i say 16oz.. they sale for under $2 retail.. insane .. i get it fancy upscale place.... kinda reminds me of a cracker barrel setting... the courses ... lol... first dish tasted like can cheese.. second was tomato soup with a tiny fried cheese ball ..soup tasted from a can...main course served in a soup bowl.. wild boar lasagna.. no flavor no sauce... strait from the microwave to the table the bowl was that hot...dried out... and dessert was dessert .. idk way over priced for $75 a person... alcohol drinks where good but not the price $48 for two drinks.. gin and tonic top shelf and a daiquiri in the smallest glass posible.. for real
Amazing food and service!
Everything about my experience at Nonna was perfection. The service, food, and atmosphere were all exceptional. It truly is a treat to dine here!
From the moment we walked into restaurant until we finished our meal. The service, food and experience was awesome!
Hubby and I went out for a lovely dinner yesterday at Nonna. It was everything I had imagined. The dishes were beautiful and scrumptious. Service was wonderful. She went over the menu with us and helped us decide on dessert which was phenomenal. We had the burrata. For entrees we got the eggplant parmigiana, octopus, and carbonara. SO AMAZING. For dessert the redeye espress and polenta olive oil cake.
We had another fabulous lunch at Nonna today. Brooke was a super server! And the food was great as always. The pappardelle especially!
Everything was very good , but it was soo loud . Excellent service
Faith was an outstanding server!
Food was absolutely amazing!! Our server, Brooke, took such great care of us!! Can’t wait to come back!
My first time there. Absolutely fabulous from the ambience, to the service, the wine and food. Can’t wait to go back.
The best! Chef Luca is tops! Always the freshest and most expertly prepared dishes.
Fantastic. Service was great, food was great and the ambience was great. Our waitress introduced us to the Terrace Bar - wow! That was fantastic!
Ordered the grilled veggies and eggplant Parmesan. both were very tasty and satisfying.
Helpful, attentive staff, delicious food, nice atmosphere!
All food was amazing, from the starters until the dessert. Service was implacable, very friendly and polite. Excellent place to go.
A gem. Great food. Fantastic wine list. But most important - some of the friendliest people you will find. A new favorite.
Perfect place for anniversaries, birthdays, or even everyday dining! Amazing food🤩
Excellent authentic Italian fare. Limited but reasonable wine list. Commendable service with all potential issues handled perfectly. The only negative was the noise level. Otherwise a 5* experience.
Delicious food and superior service. Had homemade pasta with wild boar. Ordered lemon and basil martini that was great too.
First and foremost, I completely recommend this restaurant. Excellent affordable (!!!) wine list, unique and delicious appetizers, paired with a wide variety of entrees. Although we tried multiple antipasti, I would recommend the Tomini Al Verde (Baked goat cheese with a parsley garlic sauce). Inexpensive and very good for a group. We had multiple entrees from Lobster Ravioli to roasted Seabass. All excellent. One person had a pork chop (dont remember the name) that was overcooked. But it was quickly replaced. The restaurant ambiance is beautiful. In any case, this restaurant is good for both groups or individuals.
Great place but too busy to enjoy the ambience and table side pasta preparation. Jammed a table of 6 or 7 next to us at a table designed for 4 so very crowed WITHOUT consideration for my party of 4. Disappointed...………………….
