This was our first time here. It was for a birthday dinner. It was hard at first to see where to go in. Parking is limited. Had to park at Whole Foods. Its a smaller quaint contemporary restaurant. It was full which means that it is good. Noise level is low so you can have a great conversation at your table. All of the food was excellent. Especially the Maine Lobster Ravioli. The best lobster I have had in the 32 years of living in Dallas. The salads were great. The Pinot Nero "Red Angel Moon Light" wine was great, as well as the Birthday desert a nice treat by Nonna. The waitress was friendly but I think still learning a few things. We all have to learn. I hope other people realize that too. Also our salad and appetizer came at the same time, it was another wait person who brought those items. We will definitely be back.
My most favorite Dallas eatery Also has the best service of Julians other restaurants. A can’t miss dining opportunity where the menu changes at least weekly
Great intimate dining.
Good service and good food.
What a surprise close to my grandma’s cooking
One of Dallas’ three best Italian restaurants. And probably the most elegant.
Love Nonna! Always superb! Never disappoints!
Nonna has some of the best Italian food I have had, including meals consumed in Italy. The pasta with truffles and cream was exquisite. The waiter was very helpful in with menu and wine options and pacing of the meal. We were never rushed and felt we had the evening to enjoy the wonderful food. The use of local ingredients enhances the meal. Hope to return soon
We come to Dallas 2-3 times a year and try to eat at Nona. In the past I thought the food and service were spot on, this visit - not so much
This is my new favorite neighborhood spot. The food is always delicious and the ambiance is cozy.
Very comfortable setting for our anniversary dinner. Waitstaff was fabulous and the food is always delicious. Highly recommend.
We go there frequently and have never been disappointed.
This place always delivers. In the past year it has become one of my favorites, and I have eaten there probably 10 times now. Evolving menu, perfect dirty martini, exciting dishes every time, and do not forget the semifredo as the finishing touch! As a recommended bonus, request to in Dave’s section...and soon you may begin referring to this neighbored gem as “Dave’s Diner” too.
Service was ok. Food was extremely salty. Almost unpleasant to eat.
Everything was absolutely outstanding. Every course was delicious. I will come back for the beet salad and the pasta. Superb sidecar cocktail.
We love this place, the lobster ravioli is one of the top few dishes I’ve ever had, perfectly balanced cavort and sweet, love it, love this restaurant
Nonna is a perfect boutique restaurant with delicious hand made pasta that is flavor-full! We started out with the Blue Crab claws in a red tomato reduction that was finger-licking good. I enjoyed the white bean soup which was hearty and had a little zest to it. We then had the 1st pick white truffle pasta that delicately hit the perfect note of flavor. My husband had the seafood pasta with shrimp, perfectly seasoned with fresh seafood aroma. I had the pasta with vodka sauce, my favorite with curly pasta! My husband had the chocolate lava cake with ice cream which is a must! I had the semi-frozen pistachio ice cream which took "rockey road" to a new level. Perfect for creamy/crunchy caramel ice cream lovers. Paired with Port and laate harvest white wine, it was perfection!
Very very slow service.
First time to Nonna’s. Interesting location - strip center across from Whole Foods. Inside decor is great, though.
Had Little Gems salad - so good - was thinking about it the next day! Tortellini was good and the red snapper was also good. Would probably choose a different pasta next time - the crispy pancetta or bacon type meat was the seller for the tortellini so could probably get a pasta I like better if I just wanted the bacon type topping 👍🏼😀! Will go back. I would rate it as good or better than Lucia and MUCH easier to get into. Oh, the bread (like pizza oven crust) with sides of olive oil and balsamic vinegar is SO good.
Great food - a little loud but ok - great service - we will certainly go back and if you haven't been we highly suggest you go.
Great white clam pizza. Pasta dishes and quail with black risotto were excellent. This place has never disappointed.
Unassuming location but the food and wine were exquisitely good for our 18th anniversary dinner.
Food wasn't bad and our waiter was nice but the table became somewhat messy as the meal progressed and wasn't cleaned up properly. We also told them we were celebrating a special occasion and got no recognition of that as other places do with a nice flourish. Not terrible but we had to drive a bit to get here and will not return. Probably a really good place to frequent if it is in your neighborhood.
Fabulous!!
The lobster ravioli was wonderful. The service was perfect.
THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD EVER!! AWESOME WINE LIST AND THE SERVICE WAS TOP SHELF!
Great food as always!
Nonna never disappoints. We had 3 different pasta dishes. All were amazing. We had 2 desserts. Same. Everything is so fresh and original. Love the fresh bread. The aranccini appetizer also wonderful. Just a great place for a special occasion. Low key and elegant.
The food was fabulous and everyone there was so friendly. I especially loved the bartender Christy. It's a little small, so I'd recommend reservations. We actually went back 2 nights later because we can walk and it's really cute and delicious.
One of my favorite Italian restaurants. The clam pie and lobster ravioli never fails. Everything else is also amazing. Top notch service and attention to details.
We greatly enjoyed our meal at Nonna's. The staff was exceptional. Very warm and attentive. We felt genuinely welcome. The noise level was a bit higher than we prefer but not unpleasant.Everything we had was unique and tasty. I had the Quail in porchetta with Elis Stansel's rice, shiitakes, sweet corn, hot & sweet peppers. The quail was largely deboned with just the leg bone in place as best I could tell. First time I have had quail and I think there were three breasts and three legs but not sure. There was enough quail to be filling and the accompaniments were very tasty. Great flavor. My wife had the Gulf Red Snapper with Cherry Tomato Salmoriglio & alubia bianca beans which she enjoyed. The Gulf shrimp with pepper crema, cherry tomatoes, marinated squash and soft herbs and Sformato of summer squash with slow roasted tesa, arugula & black cherry tomatoes were equally good.
We left feeling we had a very special meal and will return.
I think the wine is way overpriced. The food was good not exceptional, the menu was not amazing. I had high expectations and came away meh.
The menu changes daily. Everything that we had was absolutely delicious. I look forward to going again and again to try everything I can on the menu. Everything tasted extremely fresh. The wait staff is knowledgeable on food and wine pairings and it's fun to see how passionate they are about the menus. Great spot!
Running out of words of praise for this gem. Literally our favorite restaurant in Dallas. Food continues to evolve and menu is refreshed at a reasonable pace. Service is solid and food is consistently spectacular.
We had an amazing dining experience with David. We let him take the lead on ordering whatever starters and flavors of choice with the exception on pork and Cilantro which we do not eat. Each dish was cooked to perfection. Fresh baked pita bread with olives were served with the drinks. We were served the squash blossoms first, which were light and crisp with ricotta cheese inside and parsley shaved topping. The rigatoni has a burst of chicken broth flavor with each bite and the fresh little halved tomatoes were the perfect pop that we almost asked for more on the side as we wanted them in each bite! The lasagniette was delicate and savory, a perfect combination without overfilling. We were happily surprised when the bill came as it was such an amazing meal for the cost. The flavors were better than some 1 Star Michelin restaurants we have been to. We will be coming back much more often!
Everything was wonderful, EXCEPT the hostess must have been new because was was determined, and I mean bent on seating someone RIGHT next (less than a foot away) to us even though the restaurant had plenty of seating. VERY irritating.
Amazing. Like always!
If you're looking for a huge hunk of overly cheesy lasagna for ten bucks please go elsewhere. This is the real deal. Delicate handmade pastas in light sauces, fantastic white clam pie, lobster ravioli just to mention a few. We order as many mid sized pastas as we can eat and share them, as each one is special.
Not inexpensive but totally worth the price. Again, if your game is Maggianos or Olive Garden I would stay away. The best real Italian in DFW.
usually a great experience. this time the food disappointed. will try again after restaurant week.
Went for restaurant week. All appetizers and entrees were great. Down from 5 to 4 because desserts (3 different ones) were just okay. Service could have been better too. Waited a while to get drink refills twice. Brought wrong drink once. Stuff like that.
