I had a duck entree, and the flavors didnt
NoMI never disappoints. Highly recommend the Chateaubriand- absolutely amazing. If available, the octopus appetizer is worth trying!
It was great place with a great views. Service was impeccable. Food as well, but they should offer little bred or smth when u sit at the table. Little overpriced for what it is
Amazing experience! Fantastic food and service. Plan on going back.
Service was outstanding
Great view of city
Joe was a great waiter and the food and wine outstanding .
I was expecting sushi and an elegant over the top meal, and the sushi chef ‘didn’t come in to work today’. Was what i experienced. My food was good, but overall letdown and lack of choices was pretty underwhelming. Looked and felt like a hotel restaurant rather than a high end restaurant within a hotel.
The service was excellent! The food delicious. The views of Water Tower Amazing.
A great dining experience.
This was an absolutely wonderful dining experience!
I went here with my fiancé after I asked him if he would mary me. When I booked the restaurant I had asked for a table by the window and had requested to be welcomed with a glass of prosecco.
When we arrived our table was not yet ready so we were asked to wait at the bar. We both had a very nice cocktail and after about 10 minutes were shown to our table which was by the window as asked for. We were then also offered a glass of prosecco , also as asked for.
We ordered the 'park board' to share and this we didn't regret! We enjoyed the hams and cheeses and the wonderful view over the Water Tower and the Magnificent Mile.
My fiancé went for the salmon as an entrée while I decided to go for the lobster. Again, these were excellent dishes. Both of them were full of flavor and textures.
We finished our plates and we were offered a nice little dessert (made out of raspberry and rhubarb ice cream).
I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially for celebratory occasions.
Great for a romantic dinner. Make sure you arrive early to have a window table.
Beautiful view, perfect service, and wonderful food!
I can't thank the team at NoMI for their amazing customer service and attention to detail. We celebrated our dear friends birthday here and everyone had a wonderful meal and a fabulous time together. They went ABOVE and BEYOND to make it a special night. We will all be back and have been raving about it for the last few days.
They charged $160 per person for an easter brunch not including beverages. That was an INSANE price to charge for a Sunday brunch, Easter or not.
New French chef doing g a wonderful job! The sauce in the bouillabaisse is a testament to his talent
Super Expensive for what it delivers. My lobster came with a rubbery texture. super small plates. not worth it at all
NoMI is devine ! Warm welcome and perfect service, beautiful sashimis and cocktails.
Superb but not cheap. Thank you for wonderful service and delicious, creative food.
The location is only the first amazing thing about NoMI - it's the reason we first went there. The service, the food, and the lightness of the dining space is why we returned. Brunch is just lovely here. The staff is attentive, polite - their smiles help make a great morning; the chefs take pride in their creations, which are well balanced and delicious. The brunch menu has a diverse selection of breakfast and lunch items - something for everyone.
Joe has been our server several times. Always smiling, knowledgable and timely. Have been for birthday, graduations and just a Friday night out. Never disappoints. I always feel treated like royalty!
I loved my experience at NoMi. There isn’t a bad table in the whole place. Great views all around. We enjoyed the park board, deviled eggs, and short ribs. Then my boyfriend had the Colorado lamb chop and I enjoyed the Chilean Sea Bass. We ate a lot. But it was worth it. We ended the evening with a little dessert and a French press. Loved it. I would definitely go back next time I’m in Chicago.
This has to be my favorite restaurant in Chicago if not North America. The food is always prepared with care and presented as edible art. Servers are engaging, polite and sincere. I will always eat here anytime I am in Chicago. You should too!
Amazing service... great food!
Our meal was just wonderful!! Everything was so fresh. I have Celiac’s Disease and our waiter was so great and took great care of my needs! I highly recommend this for a gastronomic wonderful experience!!!
I took my nephew and sister in law from DC to Nomi and it was just ridiculous, from the warm alluring bread to the outstanding cocktails, appetizers and Fish for two. Our waiter could not have been more perfect. Luckily I'm going again in 4 days time.
Joe Brenner was an exceptional host; took great care of us and made us feel right at home.
Always wonderful. Breakfast lunch or dinner. Great sushi.
Lovely service and always checked up by several staff to make sure everything was good! Great view of Michigan street will be back !
Great food but it was way too bright in the restaurant! I’ve never been in an upscale, fine dining restaurant with such bright lighting , it seemed very against the trend
Except for the service, it was a good experience.
The view did not make up for the disconnected service, draft by the window (but the hostess did arrange for a great view) and noise level. We live in Chicago and frequent MANY fine restaurants. The food was excellent as we expected. The tables and overall appearance of the restaurant looks worn out. When I checked in the hostess made us wait holding our coats until she finished conversation with her co-worker. I had to ask if they were going to walk us back to the restaurant.
It was my daughter’s 19th birthday and was an incredibly mediocre experience all the way around.
Fabulous evening with a spectacular view! Great wine list to enjoy. The Sushi menu is fantastic.
We attended restaurant week and then for brunch - both times the food and service were exceptional.
The design, dinnerware, architecture, and art are also a plus. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Lartha is also a gem!
Birthday. Great overall and the staff were excellent and knowledgeable
Perfect evening excellent, food, ambiance and service
My waiter was one of the best experiences. His level of service was outstanding.
As visitors in town, We wanted a table at the Restaurant and got a confirmation from Open Table, however learnt last orders at the Restaurant were at 1.30 pm. Hence were disappointed in that we could not get the Restaurant experience. Sat in the cafe instead which we enjoyed nevertheless.
The table was open & ready for my arrival and I was promptly seated.
I decided to have one (1) drink before ordering and opted for a Tito’s Vodka over ice. I was expecting a nice glass and was very pleasantly surprised that the bartender provided me with a “REALLY GOOD POUR”! 😃
After taking the time to review the menu; without my waiter “Hovering Around” as some do in other restaurants to try to speed-up the ordering process; I opted to try the Grilled Spanish Octopus with a Multi-Grain coating. The coating was delicious and the octopus itself was slightly “Al Dente” but not to the point of feeling like one was chewing on an elastic band.
I opted for an assortment of two (2) maki sushi items from the menu - Spicy Tuna & their Shrimp. Eight (8) pieces of each maki selection was more than plentiful and they were excellent.
I also “Treated” myself to two (2) nice - individual pieces of their Otoro sashimi pieces as my waiter said it was outstanding; and it was!
My meal was wonderful.
My only “Complaint” was that as I was not able to finish all my sushi / sashimi, I asked for my remaining pieces to be boxed up. They were but when I opened the box afterwards, the remaining piece of Otoro sashimi was not in the box.
Rule to follow next time will be to check the contents before I leave.
Made for a disappointing end to a lovely meal!
we have been to Nomi many times , this time food was not good , they stoped making the Branzino we loved to have there , the waiter was not nice or helpful , and at the end we ordered a desert he sad it would take 30 min we said okay its fine , few min later came back with a small pastry instead and said I thought you may like this instead since the apple tart will take 30 min , we said we will wait again .
I took the lobster which was very rubbery and very small .
this was the worst experience at Nomi , it may take a very long time fr us to go back if at all
