NoMi is a great place to kick back between shopping on Michigan Avenue with a craft cocktail and delicious food. The view is incredible and the ambiance is fabulous. We can't wait to go back!

We’ve been here before. The bar area is very lively on the weekend which is fun and the sushi is wonderful. We wanted to sit in the window to see the beautiful lights on Michigan Ave. Very romantic area. The dinner menu is very limited outside of the sushi menu. Pretty expensive. Our young waiter was very attentive in the right way. It all went smoothly. I don’t want to dis it but it’s someplace I would only go once a year at this time to enjoy the view if possible to get a window table, which they were very accommodating. I would recommend to friends but with the information I just gave.

Nomi has been our choice for dinner several times in the past few years but this will be our last. I don’t believe They have embraced their growing popularity and truly honor all the customers that make that happen. We felt very rushed - the waiter kept asking for our entree order and seemed to be invented to turn the table. The greeter at the main entrance was so frazzled with the crowd she was actually dismissive and borderline rude- yet crowds in a restaurant ate a good thing!!! She didn’t get that - we are dine with Nomi - there are so many choices in Chicago :)

We celebrated my daughter’s birthday with breakfast at NoMI. As always it was wonderful. This has to be one of the most beautiful restaurants in the country, let alone Chicago. Even breakfast is just fantastic. Mushroom Spinach omelette with goat cheese with sausages. Crab Benedict’s with a very nice light béchamel sauce. Potato broccoli skillet with eggs. All exquisite. If you live in the Gold Coast and not had a meal here or you’re visiting Chicago, you have to indulge.

A great evening even with a five year old and a seven year old. Nice kids menu. Only negative are the desserts. I tried the ice cream because nothing else appealed and it wasn’t good. The kids mouse was adorable but tasted bad.

Food and service was fantastic. The sushi is truly top notch. Would have given 5 stars for everything but a few tables away from us had 2 young children (toddlers) who were going absolutely nuts the whole time. This is a fine dining restaurant with business casual attire. The kids were being so disruptive that at one point the father started to smack one of them, causing them to cry even more. Not really the restaurants fault but that situation definitely knocked 3 stars off the ambiance rating.

Outstanding food and service. A lot of special touches for our anniversary. The desert they sent us for our anniversary was heavenly. The General Manager took very good care of us and even sent over gluten free bread. There were many gluten free options and the food was terrific. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I love to eat at the NOMI restaurant or just get a cocktail in the bar area.
Have been coming to the Hyatt for last 10 years.

I had the seafood on a bed of mash potatoes.
The seafood was delicious, but the appearance is lost......
the color and elegance is missing.

My wife's plate was the same.
The main item, is excellent quality, but the design and coordination
of all that is presented was disappointing.

It was my first time eating out on Thanksgiving and it was really special. Always exceptional service, I had Robert as our server, I’ve had him before and he always makes us feel special and taken care of. The buffet (which was special for Thanksgiving) was perfect for my taste. Oysters, sushi, salads rounded out the more traditional and savory dishes so I wasn’t full after the first plate and felt like I could try many of their offerings. The buffet wasn’t so big that I felt like I missed out on half of the dishes.
The wine list isn’t giant but I like it that way, it is well curated.
We were lucky enough to get a seat at the window overlooking Michigan Avenue, a magical view all year but especially so with the Holiday Lights.

We stopped in on a Monday morning for breakfast and had a very pleasant experience. The food offered is standard breakfast fare -- omelettes, eggs, pancakes, french toast and cereals. They have smoothie options as well.
I want to stress how courteous the hostess was -- she continually addressed us by name and was very pleasant.
Terrific view as well!

Elevated view, elevated experience. Overlooking Michigan Ave. and with Lake Michigan peeks, NoMi delivers on the food, too, with delicious takes on classic dishes (like lobster gnocchi). Service is swift, efficient and friendly. It's in the Park Hyatt hotel - enter at Chicago Ave. and the elevator is around the corner in the lobby. Reservations are a must. Ask for a window table. Perfect for a quiet, confidential working lunch. My go-to!

My wife and I were there on a Tuesday evening to try their sushi as recommended by a friend. Being a Tuesday night it was not that busy and were seated right away. We had a table next to the windows overlooking Michigan Ave. which offered a fantastic view of the historic pump house next door. Their sushi menu is somewhat limited compared to other sushi restaurants so we ordered their chef's platter which offered a little of everything. The platter came with 16 pieces of sashimi and nigiri which seemed kind of small for the price, but after trying everything it was more than enough. The sashimi and nigiri was very fresh and flavourful. We also ordered a lobster gnocchi to share and that was absolutely delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and offered excellent service throughout the evening. It was a very enjoyable evening and recommend it for a cozy evening in Chicago

Wonderful birthday celebration for my partner! Our server Joe, and manager Jillian were amazing hosts for the evening. Both were so welcoming and accomodating for us on our first time here in Chicago. Thank you so much for impeccable and humble service. You helped create an enchanting evening! Special kudos to your Sushi Chef as well, typically we are very cautious and nervous when trying new raw prepared sushi items but are so grateful we experienced the dishes here. The whitefish, fatty tuna, crab and tuna tempura roll were perfect starters. Flavored and presented in such a manner you just want to order more!
