   Really nice looking place and delicious food when I stopped in for lunch. Salmon Dynamite and the Pork Bao were incredible. Highly recommend for a quick stop while shopping, waiters were nice and manager checked in a few times. Great experience!

   I had high hopes for this restaurant. The menu looked interesting, however the food was disappointing. The dishes lacked flavor and authenticity — meaning it felt more like an Asian themed restaurant concept than a great restaurant with delicious Asian food The service was friendly and attentive, but the food was overpriced for what it was. It’s not a place I’d go back to, unfortunately.

   Loved the new expanded menu and sushi rolls. So fresh, so clean! Service was fantastic and drinks were amazing. It is so nice to have a unique place like this, close to home. Can’t wait to go back.

   Our server was so welcoming and did his best to be positive but one of our three lunches took a half hour more than the others for no reason. There were fewer than 4 tables occupied! Scallops were tasty. Burger was not very good....left most of it. Shishitos were too greasy. Snap peas were good. The cauliflower was the most disappointing of all. The quantity was tiny and there was an overabundance of yogurt sauce drowning the few pieces of cauliflower. Sure hope this was an off day for the cooking staff and not the norm. Not really willing to try a second time with the price points.

   We really enjoyed our dinner at Nomai last night. The service was really great, and the dishes were excellent and super creative. Our favorite dishes were the carrot and short rib pasta, the wagu beef roll and the Peking duck bao. We thought the tuna tartare was just OK and then we got a weird toast dish with fish butter that id recommend skipping! But overall, there were some really strong dishes.

    Even though the noise level was rather high - there was a woman seated behind us who was loud - my partner and I did not have any trouble hearing one another. The food was divine. I can't aptly describe it with words. You should visit and experience it for yourself. This restaurant is simply fantastic. We loved it! And thank you, Natasha. Your attention to our table was just right!

    Our only complaint would be lack of clearly labeled Gluten Free options. Also while super kind, our server didn’t really know what was Gluten Free right off the bat. Our friend is super sensitive to Gluten so we ended up going back and forth with the kitchen and delayed ordering a bit but overall we understand the restaurant might be working out those kinks. We will be back!

    I know a lot of reviews talk about the small plates and prices, but going into dinner knowing that, the food is amazing. We loved everything we tried, including the dessert. Fried artichokes, dynamite salmon roll, fries, and bao buns were some of our favorites.

    We had the calamari and also had cauliflower appetizers for our main course we had the burger excellent and also steak excellent side of crab fried rice excellent. For dessert we had sesame ice cream sandwich and the butter mocha cake delicious

    Very little options for people who are GF or GS. Limited menu options in general and just doesn’t fit the bill for the area it’s in - too out there of a menu for Hingham and just doesn’t appeal to the everyday restaurant goer. I can’t imagine anyone bringing their kids in there either. Fish was “fishy” and not in a good way and I ended up getting sick after my meal there. Ordered a cocktail and it had 0 flavor so I switched to a glass of wine. Waiter was super nice but I would never come back here again which stinks since it’s a great location and beautiful inside.

    Fantastic dinner- we have been several times. I love the expanded menu with sushi. The service is excellent- attentive but not over bearing. The manger is awesome! Beef fried rice is tasty with crisp broccoli & the marinade of the beef is delicious. My son loves the fried chicken- crispy & flavorful outer layer. Delicious shareable veggie starters. I love the interior & the relaxed, chic vibe. A very welcome addition to Derby Street!

    Always love Nomai. Our 4th time there. However, I was a bit disappointed that they were out of two of their entrees and three of their specialty cocktails. We were there at 6pm on a Saturday. Didn’t seem like this should be the case. I also continue to feel that they need to slow down the flow of food being brought out. It comes so quickly you feel as if you are being rushed. I understand how tapas come out, but when you order apps and entrees they really need to space them. My entree was brought with our table’s apps and before everyone else’s entree.

    We went to Nomai for their Lunar new years celebration brunch…. It was awesome! The “show” including a dragon parade, exhibition Chinese martial arts, and lots of music! This was accompanied by a Chinese brunch basket- so fun, great service, so much energy, such a celebration- such a great way to celebrate the lunar new year!

    Nomai is a place I've been wanting to visit ever since it opened. I love trying new foods and was excited to hear that this was no ordinary Asian restaurant. Their meals have a modern flair which is able to accommodate a wider audience. The restaurant itself is beautiful and it gives you the sensation that you're at home. The staff are extremely kind and the specific bartender we had that day, Jared, was very kind and helpful. He talked to us the whole time like we were best friends even though we had just met which was very comforting to have in a restaurant you had never been to before. Me and my family went during the special Lunar New Year celebration, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The lion dance was spectacular, and it made me feel as if I was somewhere else entirely. Me and my family ordered a handful of things off the special brunch menu including Crab Fried Rice, Lobster Rangoon, and a Teriyaki Burger. The portions weren't too big and even though we split everything we ended up still feeling satisfied. My two favorite items were the Crab Fried Rice which came with a spicy sauce that ended up being the best thing on the plate as it added a small bit of spice but nothing that was too overpowering. My other favorite item was the Lobster Rangoon which came with the same spicy sauce for dipping. The outside of the Rangoon was nice and crispy, and the inside was creamy and contained chunks of visible lobster. It is truly a treat to have such a fine dining experience close by and I'll definitely come back whenever I'm in the area. I also want to bring up the fact that there is a lower section of the bar that is made for wheelchair users like me which is nice because most wheelchairs aren't capable of raising up to bar counter heights which most restaurants seem to forget, not Nomai. I can't wait to come back and try even more items off their menu. Thank you Nomai for an unforgettable experience.

    The Lunar new year’s basket didn’t really live up to the hype. Although the ambiance was beautiful and the Lion Dance was amazing, I wish the food could have been more fresh and vibrant. Instead it was cold and almost everything was fried. Not what I was expecting for a high priced meal.

    Our favorite new restaurant. Exquisitely prepared food, delicious, and in perfect portions. Our server, Victor, couldn't have been better. Beautiful space, although the two TV's at the bar seemed out of place. We look forward to returning and trying everything on the menu. Be sure and try the Wok Charred Cauliflower and the Koji Fried Chicken.

    I was excited to try this restaurant since my wife is a huge fan. We arrived at 8:30 and somehow were forgotten... Until the manager came around at 8:50 asking if we'd been helped yet. He was extremely apologetic and brought us some plum wine, gave us the first round of drinks on the house and gave us the tuna spring rolls on the house. The crappy start to our meal aside, they went above and beyond to earn a 5 star rating at the end of the meal as the quality and taste of the food overpowers the bad service experience. The food is delicious, artfully crafted as their cocktails are as well. They were out of a lot of the items on the cocktail and dinner menu that I wanted to try...but I have faith in this place and we will return to give it another shot.

    Looking for a restaurant with good food and a nice atmosphere to meet friends and catch up. We found this at Nomai! The food was spicy but delicious. The ambiance was pleasant and we never felt rushed. My only complaint was that they were out of several of the dishes on their menu. I plan on visiting again in the near future.

    We think Nomai has a good chance to be a real hit. All the food was good and interesting. I think the wait staff should help guide diners to understand it's a best experienced as a small plates sharing menu.
