One of our new favorites. Great food, great location, and we have been twice with really good experiences both times. Reasonable prices.

Our meal was delicious. The one misstep were the little dumplings that came with my hangar steak. They were like hockey pucks. But otherwise, a great meal.

The service is top notch. The food is sexy and satisfying. They went out their way to make us a gluten free dessert because we wer celebrating a friends birthdays. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for sophisticated flavours and a warm atmosphere.

We had a baby with us and the waitress and hostess was so incredibly accommodating by providing us with enough space to put the stroller. They were very patient as one person in our party had some pretty unbelievable "allergies", they waited after the baby was fed to ask if we wanted any dessert. All in all, decent food, fantastic service.

It was an absolutely lovely meal. As usual, the food and drinks were great. Music is best of any restaurant in the city.

Came for an evening date on a Friday. Only complaint is that the server took 15 minutes to come to our table after we had been seated. Food was fantastic! We split a couple appies and had a few drinks. Overall it was a great dining experience and we will definitely be back.

We had nomad on our list of places to try for sometime, so we went on valentine's day. I had been here before for a casual drink, and I wasn't overly excited, I thought it will be OK, but that's because I had not tried their main courses.

The mains we ordered were fantastic. They were of a quality that surpassed my expectations, or my prejudice of the place. The service was excellent as well. It was professional and polite, without being pretentious. And that is what I really loved about our dinner here. Quality food and service without being pretentious. Thank you for a fabulous dinner!

Housed in a bit of an austere cement building among the range of esoteric main street shops, Nomad stands out with a varied local menu, a wide range of tastes and flavours, elegant west serving style (foam), and a servers that were attentive, timely and beautifully coordinated. We went for the Valentine's special menu (and flight of wine) and will back, hopefully many times.

The food was delicious, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The portions weren't very large and it was a bit overpriced for what it was but it was very good.

Food was delicious and the service was great! The ambience is perfect for both brunch and dinner because the restaurant itself has a really high ceiling with sufficient lighting and views from their window.

BF and I came here for our anniversary meal. Restaurant was super accommodating despite the fact we were a few minutes late (oops!).

We ordered the potato fries to start. I ordered the duck breast, and BF ordered roasted garlic gnocchi. If I could describe the cuisine in a nutshell, I'd say comfort food with an upscale twist. They had flavours that elevated them from "comfort food" status. The potato fries were served with sour cream mayo, the gnocchi sauce was made with roasted garlic, and the duck breast was served with "popped corn" sauce (we are still trying to figure out what means).

The wait staff were super friendly. We'll definitely be back again!

Our party of 4 ladies had 3 children (4 years old, 1 years old and 2 months) and the service we received was exceptional. Our server was incredibly gracious and patient. No children cried- but they definitely didnt like to sit still or eat straight from the menu. No one even batted an eye at any requests or kids flinging toys. We noticed other young children at the restaurant as well and it was refreshing to find somewhere so modern that welcome kids! The high ceilings really help overall with any noise levels present.
Thank you for a great brunch!

The Staff were totally in on my surprise! They executed perfectly. Big thanks to them. It was a birthday dinner for my girlfriend with her friends as the surprise. They reserved us a table big enough, but only set-two seats to keep the surprise up. They hooked up the best table (in my opinion) in the joint as well. We've been there for a lot of big moments and I plan on having a few more there.

We had the braised elk and the chinook salmon. Both dishes were delicious! Loved the foam on the kale. Our server always kept the water glass filled. Service was prompt and efficient. The decor was modern and airy. I'm probably getting old, but it was a tad too dark!

Food was delicious! And the waitress was very informative on explaining all the little sides on the plates. The only thing was she seemed a little annoyed and fed up. We were a group of girls and we came pretty late...

It was a little on the expensive side, but house wines are $1 an oz!! That kinda made up for it :)

Was great! We were seated upstairs first, there is only two tables, and it's right next to the kitchen. Felt quite isolated (which might be good for some), but we asked to be moved downstairs to the main room. It wasn't a problem, and we got to be right in the mix. The food and cocktails were excellent, and we'll definitely go back. Worth the cab ride from the West End!

I had booked for a group of 14 for a book club event. Nomad did a wonderful job at keeping such a large group organized for a brunch. The food arrived in a timely manner and even paying the bills at the end was well organized. The food was also delicious and provided a both meat and veggie options for our group. I'll very likely book this place again in the future.

Went to Nomad for NYE dinner this year. The NYE fixed menu was hit after hit even nailing the basics like bread and butter which was a delicious toasted sourdough with carrot butter. Amazing mushroom and sunchoke soup to start, delicous dungeness crab terrine starter, and divine yellowtail and Beef loin entrees. We also decided to splurge and get a 4 wine pairing for each course for the occasion and the wines/pairings were spot on. The server was warm, friendly, and responsive and great fun to chat with up. The bartending crew was also great after they had moved us to the bar when our time was up to get ready for the next sitting. Highly recommend this place for great service, ambiance, and innovative food.

We came here for my boyfriend's birthday. I requested a quiet romantic table, they catered to my request perfectly. The cocktails are always great here. Matt the bartender brought them himself and described them. I love it when people describe things they love. Super good vibes. We had the specials, and they were amazing. The flavours, the textures, went so well together. I felt like I was eating a hug in the middle of a magical forest. Haha! Cheesy but true. :P
Server, hostess, and bartender treated us so well. We felt so special. It definitely was a very special night.

Great ambience, music was in control, Lotherwise. Of people but little noise due to high ceiling which worked great for us, super awesome good and options. Only need for improvement is that the servers could have been a by more warmer in the way theyou greet and talk, may be i should say more lively which I think could be a tough ask in a busy holiday season. All Good 😊

Food overall was very good, I'd say price wise it is on the higher side but the ambience and overall experience I'd say it's worth it. The food flavor was on point and wonderful. Our server was very attentive only thing she missed telling my fiancé and I about specials of the day. We overheard her tell the table next to us about them after we already ordered and again the next table on our other side. Other than that it was great.

I didn't want anything other than what we ordered anyways because I looked before hand at the menu online but it would be nice just in case something caught my attention. Simple human error. Otherwise she filled our water promptly all the time when it was getting close to empty, she had a pleasant attitude and smile, was very helpful with any questions we might have had.

The music I think was at tad bit loud making conversation with my fiancé a bit strained..

- Varied Brunch menu. Food was good and tasty. Service quality was abysmal for a not-busy brunch

- We had a party of 7. Server knew we were waiting for late-arriving party of 2 to arrive. Coffee served while we waited for about 20 mins. Immediate coffee/tea service for late 2 when they arrived, then server gone. Took another 10 minutes to get eye contact with server to return to the table so we could finally order.
- French toast needs more syrup for three pieces, No butter served with the dish.
- Still no coffee refill visit. Restaurant is half full, not busy. Occasional server group discussions behind the bar. No eye contact.
- All done. Plates removed. Then gone. No add'l coffee refill offered.
- No return table visit. No bill. No eye contact. Nothing.
- 10 mins later, hail server for receipt. Get receipt. Then gone immediately. No chance to give server a credit card.
- 5 mins. Still gone. Waiting at table to pay, as is their practise . . .
- 5 more mins, Still waiting. Finally leave the receipt and credit card standing in a clean glass next to the cash register. Watch servers walk by it and/or execute other sales for 10 mins while it sits there plainly visible.
- Finally call out to random server walking by to please execute our sale.
- Pay and leave.
