   We have enjoyed Nomad for many years in various locations. The current space is by far the most comfortable and enjoyable. Despite a recent unkind professional review we would argue that Ryan's food continues to get even better year by year. In any 20 course meal each diner is bound to have favorites but we thought all the plates represented creative, focused combinations of ingredients and techniques. There were no duds. The wine pairing service has recently changed and has now become a contender for best in town. In short, Nomad continues to delight. It is worth every penny.

   While the food was quite tasty, the lighting was poor. It was difficult to see what we were eating. We felt rushed the whole night. We had a 12 course tasting menu and we were finished in 90 minutes. The presentation of food by a trio of people seemed rushed and hard to understand. It seemed they wanted us to eat quickly . The restaurant was empty aside from another couple next to us. The food was great but the price seemed a bit much. Two tasting menus, one wine pairing, two glasses of wine plus a mandatory 20% tip came to $470. It was quite shocking.

   The only reason why I visited Portland was this restaurant. but sadly it was busy Valentine's day. Staff were very friendly, but wine paring was disappointing and steak was cold. It could be different on a normal day. Nevertheless, I do not want to visit this restaurant again.

   Amazing time at Portland‘s best! NOMAD. Chef Ryan and his team are delivering an exceptional and intimate food (and wine) experience. The “nomadic” menu is a trip from land to sea and back again that shows creativity, thoughtful planning, local ingredients and beautiful presentation. The opportunity to watch the preparation and to discuss the food we enjoyed makes NOMAD a top foodie destination and makes sitting “at the counter” a must. My most “fav” dish was the tartare, but I must say that every dish was super delicious. If you like watching “A TEAM” of food professionals work together to prepare classic and “experimental “ dishes, a coveted reservation at Nomad PDX is a must. Big shout outs to Ben (Sous Chef) and Leia (front-end restaurant manager)- they made our dining sooo fun. Chef Ryan- we can’t wait to travel back from Seattle to enjoy again.

   Nomad PDX hit it out if the ballpark during our recent dinner. The food was beyond interesting, lovingly prepared and presented, and contained amazing flavors and textures. The service was impeccable and each person went out of their way to make sure we knew everything possible about the dishes and wine pairings. It was an amazing evening all around.

   Marvelous meal. Best tasting menu I have had in years including Alinea. Cudos to the chef and staff.

    It was too rushed - too many seatings - they should do 2 not 3 - to move you to another area for dessert at these prices is kind of insulting. You could tell de the first minute it was a rush to get you done. For these prices, that is just wrong.
