The food was great. The service was excellent. But we felt very rushed and unable to enjoy the experience. The cocktails, appetizers, and entrees all came out within just a few minutes without allowing anytime to enjoy.

Nomad’s menu is set up for sharing so we ordered several small and large plates to share amongst the group. We all enjoyed it. Drinks were good, especially the Girl Scout Cookie Martinis we had for dessert. Yum!

Incredible food & wonderful service from handsome, young Romanians! Unfortunately we wanted to finish our last drink outside by the fire-pit, but the gentleman behind the bar (short, with glasses - manager?) curtly refused to turn it on for us, barking "we're closed." Not the best way to treat a guest who just spent $500 and only wanted to finish the drinks we'd already purchased...

This was our first time dining at Nomad. It was a wonderful experience with super location, incredible food and outstanding service. While a little pricey it was worth the experience. Will definitely return.

We ordered numerous plates to share and each was brought out as it was prepared at a somewhat rapid fire pace. Beautiful spot, yummy food, great service, but the kitchen is way too efficient lol!

We had reservations for a table at 8, hostess barely looked up at us and just stared right into the iPad, she then tells us our tables not ready and has no resolution or possible time frame for when it would be ready, we had to go up multiple times to check in and we made it clear we’d sit anywhere at this point. Meanwhile during the 45 minutes we waited past our reservation there were numerous tables open the entire time. So I don’t know what that was about, we saw numerous parties that were seated during our wait. I get if you’re not ready, it was just odd to me that those other tables sat empty even after we were seated and eating, I don’t know why we had to wait for something else for so long. The food was amazing and our server was a sweetheart. The hostess staff need work in communication.

Overpriced for the portion size... and I come from NYC. Grilled octopus was tough and bland. I ended up buying a plate of chips to top it off because I hadnt eaten enough. The cod fish was very good however - but still pretty expensive at close to $50. I would not recommend because I did not feel I got value for money. I spent over $100 for one person without drinks.

Great addition to Bay Harbor and the Petoskey Charlevoix area. Really innovative and exciting menu that is changed from time to time. I highly recommend for a visit.

There were very few things on the menu without some sort of cheese and/or dairy. It is not the same to simply offer to remove the cheese/dairy from a dish. Rather, what should be offered is an alternative dish rather than a dish that is not complete.

The food was amazing! The only issue was I requested being outside in the notes and we were not accommodated. I put this in the notes and missed the spot to click outside. This was the only disappointing part of the evening especially since it was a birthday celebration.

We’ve booked through Open Table at Nomad 3 times this summer and all 3 times we were placed next to the bathroom. All 3 times it took over 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge that we were even there. Last night we walked out after 15 minutes because no one ever came to our table….while 2 other tables were seated after us and they were served immediately. Also, we had requested a table outside but were not given one. We are locals and would like to love this restaurant, but are so disappointed with the lack of service and the one time I ordered the miso cod, it smelled when delivered to the table….my fault for not mentioning it…and I did get sick. I’m not sure, but it you call to make reservations, you may be treated better than if you make your reservations on line.

It was a disappointing experience. We’d eaten at this restaurant before but sat at the bar and had a great time with the bartender and a good dinner. This time we were seated at a lousy table in Outer Siberia where no one seemed to know or care who our server was. We waited close to 15 minutes for a server to even come to our table. The ambience was zero, the meal fair.

A definite! My husband and I brought our very sophisticated 21 year old granddaughter from East Coast for belated 21st birthday. She’s still raving about the cuisine. Deviled eggs we ordered 2 sets. Xtraordinnaire . Shared the meatball and ribs. Thankyou for the complementary dessert. Chocolate heaven. We live part of year in CVX. The WOM here is a rave. We had the absolute worst service at NOMAD. We visited on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was not overly busy. Our server took over 15 minutes to visit our table initially, which was a clue to how the service would be. After we received our drinks, it took her another 20 minutes to come take our small plates order. Then we didn’t see her again for 40 minutes, at which point our drinks were empty and we were more than ready to order dinner plates. Once the dinner arrived, we did not have any plates to share the dinner (which is the point of the restaurant) or silverware to eat it with. We saw the bus person more than we saw our server. At the end, we were not told about the 3% service fee for credit card payments until after we paid. Our bill was $300, I wanted to make sure the manager was aware of the service, because obviously this is a nicer place. The hostess looked over the entire restaurant and could not find him. He then called me claiming he was with another table, which was not true because the hostess looked everywhere for him. On the phone, he apologized for the terrible service and offered to comp a round of drinks if we returned. Why would I come back for a free round of drinks? That’s ridiculous. The food was great, but the service was awful. I will say, I saw so many other servers who were clearly wonderful and who looked at our table with pity throughout the night.

Food was excellent. For the price, the Drinks were just ok. Service was just ok. Our server was polite but didn’t seem to know much about the menu or the drinks. We ended up going to the bar for drinks to get what we wanted.

It was a chilly evening when the eight of us arrived and immediately were offered incredibly soft blankets to warm us up. We ordered 3 bottles of wine and 6 different small plates to share. Everything was delicious and served HOT! My only complaint was the wine list...they need improvement there.

We had a wonderful experience at Nomad. We were outside because I read some reviews that claimed it was a bit noisy inside although we did not experience any high noise levels. The food was delicious, the service was wonderful. The entire experience was positive and very enjoyable
