Nomad
Nomad specializes in truly local ingredients transformed by live fire cooking equipment. In 2016 we happened upon an amazing oven that produced the best steak, chicken, grilled veggies and chops we had ever tasted. That oven was known as a Josper oven, conceived and manufactured in Barcelona, Spain. It is a charcoal fired box that can reach incredibly high temperatures which results some of the most flavorful food you could ever dream of. It took us 4 years to get one in the US, one of only 100 in North America we are told…

Beautiful space. Unique menu. Delicious food. Shared small plates and the veggie platter with a friend. Lots of food for two! Service was great as well. Will definitely be back.
The food was lovely. Had the steak frites - not sure I like the shishito peppers as a side dish? Maybe a good rocket salad or asparagus. The music is so loud in the restaurant! But overall will be going back. Yummy!!!
It was our first time and we loved everything about it! Food was awesome! Peter was great! We’ll be back!
Very nice - enjoyed the specialty brunch cocktails. Food was so good ! Nice dining experience !
Food and cocktails were excellent! A great brunch spot!
Food was delicious. Had a great brunch with a friend
Enjoyed our evening at Nomad. Will definitely return!
Unique dishes, delicious food, unique atmosphere. Fit for foodies!
My husband and I went to Nomad for a date night. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. Not a huge space but great for more intimate groups.
Everything was so good. Started with the super cute & delicious French Press Sangria, grilled veggies and Peruvian beef. I had the Scallops with pasta. Everyone enjoyed the food & atmosphere. They had plexiglass screens and spacing for social distancing. Definitely going again.
Great service and great food!!! Definitely will be back
Our waitress was outstanding with a very knowledgeable flair attached . We will frequent this address so we can enjoy the other choice offerings we were not able to imbibe in !
The food was fabulous and the service was superb.
Food was delicious. Hot. Staff was friendly and efficient. Music was so loud I felt like I had to scream at my husband. We tried the dinner menu. He got the sea bass (loved it) and I got the steak (enjoyed it). Best food of the night was the Japanese fried chicken app. Highly recommend that. I also really loved the chocolate cake. We are looking forward to trying the brunch menu.
The service was awesome. Peter did a great job explaining the Josper grill and the whole menu.
Food was amazing and so fresh! It might be one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The whiskey chicken was super moist and a huge portion!
What a fantastic find!! The food was absolutely amazing and the service close to perfect. We will be back for sure. We had the asparagus/prosciutto and Peruvian appetizer and they were both fantastic. For the entree we had the ribeye and the pork chops and both were prepared to perfection. The sides of the pork chops were as good as the meat. The steak fries were good but in comparison .... there is no much you can do with steak fries. My only complain is the loud music and the table where we were seated...right by the door. It may be just me, but when I am paying $30+ for my entree, I expect a relaxing experience that allows me to linger and enjoy. By the time the entree came, I was ready to leave because of the music. When we come back, I will ask for a booth...hopefully, the manager/owner reads this and I will not have to ask if they could lower the volume of the music so we don't have to raise our voice to have a conversation. The place became very loud with everybody trying to be heard!
Met a friend who I had not seen in awhile - had a wonderful time catching up and enjoying a great diner with wonderful service.
Unique and great tasting food, attentive and pleasant service keeps us going back. Great place!
We went for lunch on Sunday. Good and service we’re phenomenal. We will go back.
FANTASTIC. Will be back
We went to Nomad for a birthday brunch. I had heard great things about the food and it did not disappoint. The Brunch menu has lots of great looking options. and everything we ordered was ok not point.. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable. and courteous. Oddly, the coffee was lukewarm, and why did everything take so long? The restaurant was half empty but we waited a long time for our food and then a long time for our check. The restaurant was also fairly noisy. But the food was great so I'll definitely give it another try.
Good food. Good atmosphere. The place is smaller but a good place to go for a date
We tried the wrapped asparagus for an appetizer. It came with 5 pieces of prosciutto wrapped pieces of asparagus. It was bland and not worth the price. The Sea Bass was bland and dry. The steak was an excellent choice and a swap of the brussel sprouts for the fries was well worth the upcharge of $3. The restaurant music was very loud and made conversing at the table a challenge. The restaurant was also extremely warm and hot air was continuously blowing above my head from a vent for the duration of my visit. The chocolate cake for dessert was delicious but nothing really special or out of the ordinary.
Exceeded expectations. Glad we gave it a shot
Wonderful service , excellent food- a bit loud but I think everyone was just enjoying their dining experience - and it was quite busy.!! Very fun and delicious evening out !
Hands down the best restaurant we’ve been to in Columbus. Everything my wife and I had that night including drinks were phenomenal. This restaurant is our new go-to date night place.
We had an enjoyable experience. We enjoyed the food and drink. For us, the prices seemed slightly high for the type of food served. Still, we would say we had an overall good time.
It was great!! My wife wasn’t a fan of her meal, but I loved mine and we both loved the appetizer and drinks. The server was incredible - Lindsey knew the menu inside and out and was super personable. Great experience!!
Really great service and good food! We will be back! Excellent cocktails
Second visit to Nomad for Valentines Day dinner. Table wasn’t quite ready so asked to wait in car, then ok’d to sit at bar. Freezing cold by the door...not sure those seats would ever be warm in the winter! After 5 minutes, we were seated at our table. Unfortunately, it was right across from the bathroom so we had to watch that activity all evening. Fortunately, we had an OUTSTANDING waitress who transformed the evening for us! There were no specials but she was well versed on the menu and made excellent recommendations! We started with salad and brussel sprouts and moved on the to salmon and the chicken dinner. All food was excellent! We enjoyed 2 bottles of an Italian Pinot. Dessert was meh...
All in all a great evening and we will be back!
The restaurant itself is wonderfully decorated. Very nice aesthetics. Sets a nice mood. Lighting was dim but manageable. The noise level was at times above average but was mostly due to other diners. The food was amazing. Their special oven from Spain really does make a difference in the cooking of your food. I had the salmon and my wife had the pork chop. The proteins were a little lacking on flavor but every other aspect of the meal was wonderful. Only complaint I have is the time we spent waiting on our server throughout the evening. When he was around he was a great and knowledgeable server.
Outstanding food and memorable service! I cannot wait to go back.
Very impressed with the brunch menu to the point that it was almost difficult to pick something off of the menu - too many amazing choices!
Excellent servicer. Terrific food. Did have to ask for the music to be toned down a bit
We absolutely loved our experience at Nomad. We went with friends to celebrate Valentines day and everyone truly loved everything they had. The service was wonderful and the vibe was modern and stylish. Loved it!
Excellent experience!
This was our first time dining at Nomad. The food and service was superb. Our table was a little dirty, so I told our waiter Alexander and he took care of it, he was very attentive and even brought us a complimentary dessert. My husband and I both ordered steak frites as a main course and prosciutto with scallops as an appetizer. The presentation, quality and execution of the dishes was excellent. For dessert we had custard with pears and it was so delicious.
I highly recommend Nomad to anyone and we definitely will be back.
Unique flavors and plates that you cant get anywhere else. Everything that comes off the grill is amazing
What an outstanding array of flavors and the Covid protocols were amazing.
Beautiful place that is great for a date. I had their Pina Colada which is not my typical drink but it was so delicious. Best one I've ever had. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and it was good, but a little over cooked on the bottom. I would give this another shot because the restaurant was so nice and the service was wonderful.
