I have gone here in the past and loved the experience. Portions were big and the staff was always polite and helpful. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was not the best. The food was good, but the portions have been cut in half since the last time I’ve eaten here. We arrived early and there was no hostess to be found. We let a waiter know that we had arrived and our reservation was in 15 minutes. She mumbled something about getting a table ready, even though the restaurant was rather empty. We waited in their lounge area as other patrons were paying and leaving. After about 20 minutes, I asked the bartender if we could sit at the empty table nearby and he said he had to check with the waitress. After another 5 minutes we just decided to sit at the table just as the waitress came out and told us they were printing more menus and that we could take out seats now. The entire time we were waving down anyone who was nearby for assistance and practically making smoke signals for attention. Again, the restaurant was not busy or full by any means. The waitresses seemed to always be in the backroom, our drink orders were never put in. The waitress attending us also messed up our check and also added 6 extra drinks that we did not order nor did we even receive. They seemed to be bothered every time we asked for something or pointed out a mistake. I really used to like coming here, but I’m considering not ever returning.
We've been to NoMa Social before and had a great time, but after this fiasco, sadly, we will not be back. We made a reservation for 20 people * IN JANUARY. * We are young parents from Pelham, just minutes down the road. On the day of our reservation (February 24), unfortunately, 5 people canceled; although this should've made the reservation easier not harder, I wanted to call and let NoMa Social know right away. When I did, it seemed that they barely knew about our OpenTable reservation, and asked me the same questions I'd already answered online (saying yes to dinner and drinks, no not just tapas). When we arrived promptly, with 15 not 20 people, we were told our table wasn't ready. AN HOUR LATER we were seated at a table LITERALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF A PRIVATE PARTY. We felt horribly awkward being in the middle of someone's special birthday (like separate guests-only food and decor and photos projected onto the wall - not a group of friends gathering, a legit planned party that I'm sure cost someone a lot of money - looked beautiful!) and on the other side of us was the dance floor. Finally we just had to leave because we were having a horrible time. They didn't honor the reservation - making people wait for an hour is insane - and interfering with a private party is just unacceptable to us and to the folks having their own party. Very sad to see this happen - it's such a lovely place normally. But we can go to lots of other lovely places that don't treat us like this.
It has such a great ambience for friends get together. They are very accommodating. The tapas were delicious - my favorites were the octopus and the skirt steak. I would definitely recommend this place to hang out with friends.
Good food, convenient location, good bar.
Service was amazing, our server was attentive but the place was a little too loud.
I've been to Noma over a dozen times and only a couple times did the food not met my high expectations with a couple dishes a little cool and one or too not meeting my seasoning likes. Otherwise, the tapas menu is great, served hot and tasty. The main menu has been good to very good and the cocktails always on point. Service is great with staff being there for years and still having a hop in their step. Great atmosphere, music on Saturday's. Fun, romantic and sexy all at once. Highly recommend.
Celebrated my 55th birthday February 10th. The staff was amazing, tentative and very courteous. The food selection Mediterranean dishes were fantastic and very delicious, besides reasonable, and delivered personally to your table nice and hot. I had orders appetizer that was not to my liking and they had no problem letting me exchange it for something else. I personally recommend this place for its elegance comfortable atmosphere. Also they had a music to make the evening more memorable
Service was sluggish, food was eh nothing to rave about, food was quick for the most part everything just seemed special no wow factor, Stella on draft was out Lagunitas on draft was out, ordered Blue moon on draft then the waiter poured a bottle of blue moon into a glass right at the table and served it ( that’s not draft beer). Waiter seemed too busy swamped , Sluggish service so, didn’t wait to try dessert had to wait to get check ( hate waiting for check at the end of dinner) pet peeve
Won’t be back for date prolly better venue for big party.
Food was good and the waiter was great
Excellent variety of tapas, pizzas and full dishes, though we only ate tapas and a pizza. Even the tapas were nice sized portions, so 4, along with a great pizza, we’re too many for 2 of us. Service was extremely friendly, accommodating and efficient. The value was excellent, with the only exception the price of cocktails ($14).
Great food and drinks (especially Sangria), not crowded since it was a weeknight, relaxing atmosphere, easy to have a conversation, pleasant service; very low key - nice contrast to weekend scene
Fancy and cozy spot. Definitely recommend to anyone! Service was amazing and food was great!!
Food was excellent. Service was very good. As the evening progressed the music got a little loud.
The atmosphere was VERY Noisy, the strobe lighting was a little to much, felt like we are unknowingly at a party for young adults.
Delicious, unique tapas . many choises. Lots of Gluten free. Comfy place. Beautiful modern, striking decor.
Great, 2nd time there, good food!
Our waiter Kevin made us 4 gals feel VIP. He even allowed us to dine on the cornered off section and was hands down just cool, professional & attentive.
Terrific place. We shared a bunch of delicious tapas and small plates. All were delicious.
Never saw this place so packed....until we discovered it was Salsa Night! Too loud to just eat dinner...
Been there twice to meet a friend for happy hour. Comfortable, pleasant surroundings, good food, wine.
This hidden gem in New Rochelle is worth the trip. While location is unsuspecting, Radisson Hotel, the food is outstanding. Interesting mix of flavors. There isn't anything I would not recommend on the menu.
Noma Social provides fun inventive food but service can be a problem there
Excellent food, great atmosphere. Reasonable prices for food.
When we entered the restaurant there was no host to greet us at the door & we felt awkward and out of place. Overall the restaurant didn't seem clean; the tables were dirty & my water drinking glass was also dirty.
Second time here this past month and really enjoyed our meal. Tapas is terrific and creative. The pizza is awesome with thin crispy crust and flavorful toppings. We want to try them all. Service is fast and our waiter was (is) terrific. Smiling and friendly.
A bit of an "odd" atmosphere, as it changes from a happy hour bar scene to a restaurant to a club-type atmosphere. Some unusual tapas dishes. Everything was very good, and there's something for everyone.
The service was exceptional. The lady who served us was exceptional.
I ordered a cocktail last night but she smiled me that I had told her last time that I did not like it . That was 5-6 months ago. Only after she said that, I recalled that it did not have the usual ingredients that I am used to and that is why I did not like it. She then recalled a couple of things in our order from that visit many months ago and whether we had like it or not. Obviously she is very smart but also shows how much she enjoys her works and totally involved in it.
I have never seen anything like it. I would understand if she had served us many times and got to know our tastes.
The food was very good too especially the shrimp starter. The sauce that comes with that it truly out of this world.
This place always seem to fall short for me. The tapas portions are very small and pricey compared to other tampas restaurants and the food fails to amaze. It's a great scene for a night out with a group of friends, but not if you are looking for a date night. The place is extremely loud even at dinner time. I've given this place a few chances, but I probably won't go back.
Delicious small dishes (tapas)
Went at 2:00pm for Easter brunch. Was seated right away at a table that still had leftover rice on it from the previous diners. The brunch advertisement listed omelette and pasta bar. There was an omelette station but no pasta bar. They just had two types of pasta. There was no bread available, just bagels. For that money, they could have provided some rolls. There was not enough variety of food for the price. Dessert consisted of stale mini cupcakes, a pie, and a Costco looking cake. Lastly, they added a $23 and change tip to the bill for three people which I wouldn't have minded if the waitress didn't become nonexistent. The bus boy refilled our drinks since the waitress continued to ignore us even though she went to check on other tables. NEVER AGAIN!!!
DJ was good, played lots of old school music to get people dancing. Food was good but the servers need training. Our waitress was kind but confused, we ended up having three waiters all competing for our table which made them confused when taking orders. Please stop rushing customers - there was no need to rush our main meal when the apps were just served, and again to clear plates.
It was an overall great experience except for the fact that our waitresses looked overwhelmed and gave me an attitude when I requested for my cake to be cut for the 3rd time. They either need to be better trained or given smaller tables that they can manage. My guests ended up going to the bar for drinks because they were taking that long to come around and deliver.
The waitress was so nice and attentive the food was delisions. Dj Jimmy was on point lived his music. The decor was so hip and modern and fresh.we will be definatly be going back.
Noma seemed to have reconsidered their less than talented musical entertainment; thank God there wasn't any while we were there. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive; my Manzo pizza and my wife's Rosen Burger seemed more favorable than usual and the squid tapas was great. Could it be that there is a new team in the kitchen adding additional zest to a great menu? Our experience was fantastic. As a aside, the sparklers on top of the birthday desert for the table next to ours, seemed too strong (sparkles all over the place) with a noticeably strong acrid smell. Seemed like an accident waiting to happen
Hostess was unprofessional and flustered. We said we had a reservation but she didn't ask for our name. Once we were seated no one came to our table for at least 5 minutes, not even with water, so we didn't feel welcomed initially. But once our server arrived, we were very pleased - she was extremely pleasant, helpful, and authentic. The prosecco I ordered was flat and didn't even taste like prosecco so I sent it back. Our server was very accommodating and brought over a small unopened bottle of Mionetto, and it was delicious. Every small plate we ordered was excellent. The dessert took awhile to arrive so my ice cream and whipped cream were soupy. The bartender also took forever (i.e., 15 min) to make my husband's 3rd drink. I would give our server an "outstanding" but everyone else gets "fair" which is why I rated service with 3 stars.
Food was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Outstanding overall.
Great food. Would go back
Excellent food and service! WIngs, and beet salad is really good
Just wanted to relax with a glass of wine and some tapas.
It was very cold in the restaurant ....they were training new wait staff but WE ENJOYED THE MEAL❗High quality food carefully prepared
