Nolo's Kitchen & Bar
Great food and great staff. Had Lexi as our waitress and she is a rockstar!
Nice decor. Cozy. Food was salty. Good value for the money.
Had a very nice lunch experience. Server was very friendly food was delicious. We had the walleye tacos, and let’s face it anything with Yum Yum sauce on it is going to taste awesome! As a sidenote they also serve a nice strong cup of coffee. I’m always disappointed when I go to a restaurant and they don’t serve what I would term restaurant quality coffee, Noloa did not disappoint.
Nice touch to provide complimentary dessert to our birthday person.
Went there for the first time for happy hour. Decent options and prices, but the food was quite greasy. We got the duck spring rolls and the pepperoni/sausage pizza. Grease dripping off both items. Taste was just OK, not amazing. Service was amazing, but the food wasn't up to par, even with the cheaper prices.
Food is outstanding! Service is usually food but last viisit server was very inattentive, didn't listen and got ordee wrong, and didn't check on our table. Usually swrvice is great - ao that was not the norm. Great restaurant!
We loved our first experience at Nolo's. We were looking for someplace to eat on a busy downtown night and it was fabulous that they take reservations. The food was outstanding. Highly recommend the dry rub wings and cheeseburger. The food delivery and our server were terrific, the only reason I did not rate 5 stars was because the bar was quite slow in getting out our drink orders. Definitely a great place. We will be back!
Great food at affordable prices. Second visit more to come.
Nothing to write home about. It was very casual - like hoodie or flannel and jeans - definitely not a fancy restaurant. We were in there on a Saturday evening at 5:00 p.m. and it felt like a sports bar smashed in the middle of a trendy restaurant. Every seat at the bar was full with people standing around. I did appreciate that the TV's aren't completely visible to the main eating area. The food was good and appreciated that they split the salad with a nice portion and good presentation. The service was the worst part. I had to ask for water both times my glass was empty and was never asked if I wanted a second glass of wine (which just made my bill cheaper). They don't have much for entrees on the menu (a total of 3 options) and the rest are burgers, pasta & pizza. I had the lamb burger which was "just" a burger. It was also messy to eat. Not a ton of flavor either and my partner had the cheeseburger with a similar review. We both said that we've had better burgers elsewhere despite the critics rating their burger to be good. We placed our burgers in the top 20 for best burgers in Saint Paul/Minneapolis, but it's definitely not in our top 15. Overall, it was nice, enjoyable, affordable and good food. Wine list isn't a wow and the all the managers/staff seemed to stand in the back like it was a staff retreat.
I loved this place! Have never seen it before but can’t wait to go back
Had an excellent Sunday breakfast. The breakfast tostada was really delicious. There were a lot of different and wonderful flavors and textures in the carnitas, beans, tortillas, eggs, etc. My wife had the simpler country breakfast, which was ample and well-prepared. The staff was friendly and attentive, and we never wanted for coffee and drinks. It seems we were at the front of the thundering herd headed for the Vikings game, yet the restaurant seemed to handle it just fine. We'll be back!
Excellent service and the entire style of this place is polished but relaxed. It set a really nice tone for our happy hour business meeting. Our server was so friendly and helpful (they even told us the best way to eat the duck egg rolls and was absolutely right- delicious). I'll definitely be back!
so nice, our server was so fantastic!!! lovely people
Food and service were amazing! Would love to visit again!
It was great! Loved the quality of the bottomless mimosas!
The appetizers and main courses were great. The wine was excellent. Unfortunately, however, our server was not very attentive, which detracted from the evening.
Can’t go wrong for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Brett and his entire staff are always great. One of the best spots for any meal in the Twin-Cities.
Great cocktails, great location. Food was okay. Pasta was undercooked. Server was very attentive.
We go here every year before a Vikings game. They open early enough for us. Their food is amazing. Fast service. Good prices. Best bottomless mimosas I've ever had! Would highly reccomend this place!
The food was excellent but over shadowed by the lackluster service while dining at the bar. It was a busy night for the well, however the bartender never acknowledged us to order our food, order additional drinks, refill our water, or package our leftovers. We had to stop our enjoyable conversation to track her or someone down for every food or beverage need. It was disappointing, but when I spoke to the manager he was very responsive, apologized, and asked us to come back to try it again. I will give it another shot as the food was delightful.
Bright environment, great for a business lunch. Good food.
Friendly, helpful server. Quick service. Nice wine and cocktail selection. The burger is a very delicious rendition of the Big Mac. The salads and dressings really stand out too.
Always a fun, reliable place for dinner. It is one of the hot spots in the North Loop.
Great service by a knowledgeable server. Excellent monitors and margaritas!
Loved it here! Came here for brunch on a Sunday. There was a short wait for our table (had a reservation). The French Toast was soooo good! The Breakfast Sausage was also really tasty and loved the Bottomless Mimosas too! Can’t wait to come back!!
Bottomless Mimosas. Enough said!
Our server was wonderful and the food and drinks were great
Good food good drinks good service
North loop crowd
Our go to choice when we want consistent high quality with no complications. Especially like no charge for corkage so we can bring a quality wine. We also tip extra for that privilege, typically 30%. Even with tip it’s very reasonable considering the quality.
Awesome. The Brussels Sprouts and Cauliflower was exceptional.
This trendy restaurant had a nice selection of food options. I opted for the tomato soup and the shrimp taco appetizers, both of which were good; my two friends liked their entrees as well (gnocchi and the pasta with meat marinara sauce); additionally, they liked the small green salad they each ordered & commented how good it was & that the dressing was light with a unique and delicious flavor. The bar menu provided a nice variety of choices.
I normally give Nolo a five every time. I love this restaurant, but one thing is becoming an irritant. There is a valet guy that comes up to you when you park in the designated customer parking for Nolo and tries to get $8 out of you to park even though it is complimentary parking. I'm told he isn't even employed by the restaurant, and it starts what is usually an enjoyable experience off on the wrong foot and actually makes me less likely to come as often. I've spoken with the restaurant several times about this but nothing has changed up to my last visit. I hope that they get this resolved or my trips to Nolo will be fewer, because it is otherwise a great restaurant. I just don't want to deal with the parking guy any more.
Awesome time! We got to sit outside so it was an amazing BRUNCH for the ladies day! I wish they had more outdoor seating, but it worked for us, as always food & drink was great! Their Immunity booster and mixed greens drink was phenomenal!
The breakfast fried rice is so amazing! I want to eat it every day! My only issue were the flock of obnoxious girls sitting directly next to us when the restaurant was almost empty.
We went to Nolo’s Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. The service was excellent. It was loud, but there did happen to be 2 bachelorette parties in progress so it’s probably a bit more mellow normally. We both thought the food was excellent. We had the Burrata, BBQ cauliflower, and the king crab Bucatini. All three were well prepared and had a nice little kick thanks to some light use of jalapeño. I would call it MN spicy. Overall experience was very good and would happily stop in again.
Once we ordered our drinks and entree, service slowed down. The server took a while to check on us once we got our food. I was able to finally order my second drink when we ordered dessert. But I had to cancel my second drink because it too so long and we had to get going.
It was our first time at NOLO Kitchen. The service was wonderful and our server answered all our questions and gave great suggestions. My drink was crafted to perfection , a well balanced sweet summer drink. The food was good and a lot of nice options on a menu that didn’t overwhelm us.
Noticed their menu prices keep creeping up but I like the food and the atmosphere. I especially enjoy the deviled egg toast.
