The service was horrific. The food was passable but the wait staff were on their phones in the kitchen. we waited over 15 mins Houston to water. Unacceptable!
We had a great meal. Some friends had been there and were not impressed so we went in with low expectations. We were blown away. The food was fantastic. Our waiter Zack was on point with both service and recommendations from the menu. Atmosphere was good, a bit loud but not bothersome. The Andouille Chorizo Queso was fantastic
Great food with professional service
The food was delicious. The drinks were also very good. We loved the décor & the 2 ladies at the hostess stand were very friendly & courteous! Our waiter, Cornelius J, was awesome! The only problem we had was the service with drinks. We sat the bar to wait for another couple & ordered 2 frozen margaritas (which were already made in machines!). There were 2 bartenders & only 2 other customers & we had to wait to order. Then once we sat at our table, it took a while for our friends to get their drinks. Which was even more surprising since there was another bar in the restaurant that appeared to be for dining customers. Our 2nd round of drinks took a long while as well. Overall, Nole' is a great restaurant & we will be returning! Hopefully, the bar service improves (since it appears to be an ongoing issue based on other reviews!).
Love the look of the restaurant, but it definitely needs some work! We were one of maybe four tables in the restaurant and it took 15+ minutes for us to get our cocktails. Our server was sweet enough, but the bar service needs some serious work. Food came out quickly and was good for the most part. The gauc and blue crab street corn were fantastic. The chicken tinga tacos had good flavor and were a little spicy. The carnitas tacos were incredibly dry, practically inedible. The tres leches bread pudding was bomb!!!!!
We visited on 8/30 with a party of 11 and Zack was amazing! His service was outstanding. The food was great, the Chef was accommodating, and the atmosphere was lovely. Thank you so much for making the night a success
Thanks for sharing!!
Host was extremely friendly. Drinks and food took forever - what should have been an hour and half meal at most was two and half hours.
We went for the coolinary lunch and it was so wonderful! Large portions of wonderful interesting things! Try the corn it is WONDERFUL!

The atmosphere is very cute and "hip", but the service was the worst service I, and each person at our table, have ever received. We had a reservation on Sunday afternoon for 7 (ended up being only for 4). The restaurant was not even half full and we had to wait to be seated 5-10 min. After being seated our waitress approached and greeted us. We made it pretty clear that we were hungry but would need a minute to look over the menu but ordered a quick appetizer. Our drink order was never taken at this time. Fast forward 45 minutes later. Still no drink order. We attempted to wave down our waitress but she never looked our way. We then waived down who we believe to be a manager, who then took our drink order. 20 minutes later, still no drinks and our waitress has yet to come back take our order. At this point one of us got up and once again spoke with the manager and another waiter who happened to be close by. Keep in mind, there was no hustle to make any of this right and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Finally our drinks were delivered and our order taken after over an hour and a half of sitting. The manager offered no explanation other than that our table had been over looked. (HUGE EYEROLL). She then offered a round of drinks on her. After our meals were brought out our waitress actually asked us if we wanted her to put our dessert order in, although she had already had the orders when we ordered our meals. (We ordered off the coolinary set menu) It was like we couldn't win. I will say that the food was delicious but the service was so bad that I will never go back nor recommend to any friends.
We ordered and never received our food, the waiter said he forgot to put it in
Amazing! Love this restaurant. You can bring a baby and no one will notice if crying because it was busy and loud, which was great. Didn’t have guilt for crying baby!
Food was excellent along with service. Highly recommend
Food was great. Service was pretty good. Had to ask for drink refill
Servers were great! They didn’t steer us wrong. We loved the paella and the fried chicken!
The food we ordered was great, we only ordered from the Coolinary menu. (3 courses, with a drink) I would definitely recommend the flautas and fish tacos. Margaritas were great as well.
On the other hand, the service was horrible. We ordered fairly quick being that we were only deciding from a limited menu. We needed up being there for over 2 hours! What concerns me the most is the owner was there with his wife and sitting at a table next to us! The waitress even made a comment about the kitchen being no good after 9pm. (Reservations were for 8:30)
Margaritas were terrible. Food was good, but definitely needed better/more flavor. I was also spilled on and accidents happen, but I was not really apologized to about it. Service was mediocre too.
This is a great restaurant for a girls' night or date night! Beautiful modern and trendy decor, excellent food at reasonable prices, and wonderful staff and service! We really enjoyed the $29 Coolinary menu - it was a great deal! Will definitely be back!
Thanks for sharing Brneyedgrl!
Food was okay. The tacos and rice were bland for my taste. The service was good, but they seemed understaffed. The appetizers and drinks were really good. They were the best part of our visit. The decor was nice.
First we have visited Nole' and highly recommend it. As locals, we try to experience the Coolinary menus at places we have never been. We will be back to Nole', even without Coolinary! Superb food, excellent server, service, hostess. Thank you for a lovely Sunday afternoon!
Thanks for sharing Michelle!
Service was extremely slow. It took about 45 minutes for appetizers to arrive. I informed the server that we were in a bit of a time crunch, but I still had to leave the restaurant for my appointment before our entrees arrived. My fiance told me that this "quick" brunch wound up taking about 2 hours since the kitchen was so slow that day. This was my second visit, and the first time I came, we had no issues with service/timing/etc. Not sure what happened on Sunday. Food was very yummy though!
Delicious meal and great price during Coolinary Month!
First time visit and was extremely pleased with the atmosphere, service and food. Took advantage of the coolinary menu for lunch. Generous amount of food at a very reasonable price. Will be back!
Horrible horrible horrible birthday experience. It started good and our sever was excellent but some of the food came out late and cold . The manager didn’t do anything to make the experience any better by not even apologizing. Our poor sever is the one that kept apologizing but it was not her fault . The manager did say that she had taken off the appetizers and drinks of the bill but we were still charged for some things including a birthday dessert that we didn’t even request . The last time that I went to a restaurant a birthday dessert was complimentary not $8!!! Horrible horrible and way to ruin my bday .
Very disappointing dining experience. Understaffed, LONG waits for everything. Food not particularly good. Everyone was waiting and waiting for any kind of service. Could not wait to leave.
The service was terrible. It was so slow, and our server was not friendly. We had to ask for water three times. We got sat in an inconvenient spot and waited 15 minutes to be greeted by a server at our table. The food ended up being pretty good, especially the guacamole. The drinks were also really good. Hopefully the service gets better.
I took a date here for Taco Tuesday, not realizing how great the deals were. I had the best $5 margaritas, ever. They were excellent and surprisingly strong.
The two tacos, plus rice and beans deal for $8 is also insane. The carnitas tacos were good, not amazing, but solid. The guac was great, but the chips were mediocre.
The ambiance of this place is awesome. Swanky and chic, fun space. I’ll definitely be back again.
Traveling solo from Scottsdale AZ. Willie at the bar took great care in impeccable service and friendliness while I ate dinner at the bar. Food was amazing! Fresh, unique, and filled with authentic flavor.
We had a party of 9ppl with an 8:15pm reservation. It took over 25 minutes to get our drinks with appetizers not being delivered for another hour. Overall it took 3 1/2 hours for us to be served and pay for our checks. The restaurant was only about half full. Entrees were delivered to 7 of the 9 guests with the remaining 2 having to wait an additional 10 minutes for food without any explanation as to why. Management never stopped by to apologize about the wait times. We asked the waitress about separate bills from the beginning and were told they could separate the bills how we needed them to be separated. When we asked for our bills after we’re we’re completely done and no other tables remained in the restaurant, it took over 30minutes to get our bills. Again, management never stopped by to apologize and no real explanation was ever given as to our ridiculous wait time. Food was okay, but based on service, would never return nor recommend.
The 4 of us were very much looking forward to a great meal at Al's new restaurant. 1st off, when the waiter came he forgot to asks us what we wanted to drink. He had taken our app order but no drinks. So finally he shows back up and he wants to take our entire order and we said what about DRINKS!! Oh yea!! So we gave him drink and entre.
The guacamole was not good: it had stings in it from the shell, it was not chunky and the portion size was way to small. We also got queso....portion way to small....some liked it, some some didn't. THE CHIPS, THE CHIPS-----I CANT BELIEVE THE CHIPS WERE NOT FRESH HOUSE MADE CHIPS----BAD CHOSE!!!!!
Our husbands got the fried chicken dish. They enjoyed it, but said, this is not mexican.
We got the fish tacos, they were good!
I don't think we will be back.....but we have always liked all the other Copeland restaurants
EXTREMELY slow service. Contrary to the Coolinary menu, they do NOT serve brunch on Saturday’s.
We had a great experience and food was Excellent.
Big Ups to Sous Chef (John Jay SuperChef! )
We will be back.

Great decor, food and service but it took wayyyyy too long. Mary was very friendly and was doing what she could to keep us happy but 2.5 hours for lunch (table of 6) and the restaurant was not busy. Makes me not want to go on weekdays when I can only take 1 hr lunch. We all did coolinary so you would think the food would be served quickly. It was painfully slow
Had a big group of 10. The food came out slow. 3/10 meals were served initially. Then 4 more came out a half hour later. Then two came out after asking where is all the food? One meal was made wrong, the manager came up to ask what the order was to make sure it was corrected. The "corrected meal" came out incorrect, almost to a point where it was insulting. Appetizers were ordered and brought out after the meals were given. The server even asked if we wanted apps before, and we said yes. Many other groups of people came and went before we even finished getting our food and eating it. The bill took a long time, as well. We were there for roughly 2 and a half hours, not because we were talking, but because the service was terribly slow and bad.
Great place to hang out with friends and have drinks. Wasn’t wowed by the food, but loved the ambiance
Food was terrible. Portions were small for the price you paid.
The atmosphere is great and the restaurant is beautiful. Service was okay. However, the food was disappointing. I loved the drinks but the food was bland and not what we expected. We went specifically for the margarita flights that they feature on their Instagram but found out upon ordering that they only do those on Thursday’s. Not sure I’ll be returning.
I found the food to be a bit bland. I don't eat dairy, so my fish tacos were missing the crema sauce that normally comes on it, however I didn't find the salsa or the seasoning of the fish itself particularly flavorful. Additionally, since I said said I was dairy free, the kitchen didn't send out my rice and beans that come with the tacos because they have butter in them. However, the server didn't mention that to me nor make any attempt to substitute some other side item. I had to ask where were my sides to find out why they didn't make it to the table. The duck confit empanadas were ok, but for me also could have been more flavorful.
with a Cajun/Mexican fusion concept, we expected the food to be full of flavor...it was so bland...texture of queso was too thick; chips and cracklin appetizer came with 3 dips - all were bland...expected so much from the brisket enchiladas but, again, bland bland bland. margaritas were OK...will not go back.
Very a unique menu. We enjoyed the blue crab street corn on the cob, delicious. Great chorizo and andouille queso dip. We had brisket tacos, cucumber jalapeno margaritas, Nole eggs Benedict, blackened chicken taco and salmon. All was delicious.
Our waitress, Kelsey, was outstanding! She was very knowledgeable and was spot on in her recommendations. The Blue Crab street corn was a delicious way to start our meal. All the tacos were good but the fish tacos and smoked pecan carnitas are a must. We will be back!
