New Orleans Creole Cookery
Not the best meal I’ve had for sure! Would not recommend. The crawfish 5/10, alligator 7/10, jambalaya2/10. Dessert 7/10. Heartburn 10/10. And for two people, split everything plus the cheapest bottle of wine $40, bill came to 140$. Not worth it. Night before had a 5/5 star meal at August and the bill came to about the same! Disappointed.
Food was amazing, just heavy handed with the salt. Other than that I have no complaints and would go back.
The table given toa us was in a heavy traffic area which was contrary to my profile and request. The food was ok but not of the quality I have experience in past visits.
Our meal was superb! Our group gets together once a year at Mardi Gras and enjoyed a fantastic meal together! The jambalaya in the black iron skillet was a hit! I thoroughly enjoyed the sea bass over coconut rice. The alligator and shrimp appetizers were very flavorful. Overall it was a delightful dining experience.
We were here last almost 25 years ago and it was just as good as we remembered.
Amazing Cane lacquered duck.
Overall it was a nice experience but the food was not exceptional. Because it is an “Emeril” restaurant we expected something more. Service was excellent and everyone was super nice.
Food was outstanding. We had a large group and had tried several times to call and get an area set aside but never received the promised callbacks. When we arrived the hostess/manager was fairly rude about our seating. Even making a comment to some of us that ordered drinks at the bar that “we could’ve just ordered from the waiter”. Every dish we had was great but her attitude soured the experience somewhat.
Most disappointing meal during stay in New Orleans. Burnt, dried out jambalaya. Weak BBQ Shrimp
Table was next to serving station and bathroom. Initial drink order was fine, second took 15 minutes to arrive. Once food was served the staff never once came by to see if we needed anything. As it was we wanted the salt but never received it, food was just OK. We can not recommend this location.
We changed our table to the chefs counter (fire warming). We really enjoyed watching the chefs at the pizza oven. It was great. Thank you.
Mardi Gras lunch
Took my mom on vacation, she will be 90 years old in 2 months
Service was excellent and food was very good as usual. Will be back.
great place for some good cajun food and attentive staff. prices are a bit high but that's expected
Food & service was AMAZING! Lunch with a group of girlfriends. Staff knowledgeable about menu & did not rush us out of the door. Will definitely return.
Great Restaurant. Great Staff. Enjoyed dining here will be back
My Food was not that tasty - and overall this place was very pricey. The special included peas mixed in with the pasta and there had been no mention of those which I dislike terribly. Waiter was very nice but noise level was SO high we could barely hear to ask questions and the four of us were not able to have catch up conversation with one another. Got much louder as dinner progressed so we stopped trying to visit entirely.
I had asked the market price of the fish special - a whole trout and was quoted $38. A large bone in rib eye was 58.00, husband did say it was tender and well prepared. Keeping our water glasses filled was slow. Coffee machine was not working when we tried to order a cup with dessert. Mix up with our bill and another tables so our credit card had to be taken for second time and charged again. Was told initial charge will just drop off automatically (?) Not impressed - would not return there.
I love eating here and do so whenever we travel to New Orleans. The stuffed chicken wings are to die for. The menu is great and the food is amazing.
Our party of nine had to wait 25 minutes for the table, which in and of itself was not really that bad, even after being told that the table just needed to be cleaned up and set.... but once seated the service was almost non existent. We immediately ordered appetizers for the table which finally came after three requests and the soup and salads. As a result of our complaints, the manager served them... as a comp along with drinks for the table. Things were looking up after a rocky start! Then the food was served. It was good. But still no service. After we ate, only half of the plates were cleared, after a while the rest of the plates were cleared. At this point we decided to cut our losses and not have dessert and coffee. After asking the server for the bill and waiting a while, the bill which never came, one of our party had to go ask for it. All in all a horrible end to our family’s visit to New Orleans. There is NO EXCUSE for such bad service in a city like this. PERIOD.
Love this place!!!
Not what it used to be. It used to be a white tablecloth restaurant with top notch service. Now feels like a step above fast casual. They should change the name so no one who remembers the "old" NOLA will feel tricked like I did. It's fine for what it is, but don't call it NOLA, it's a disservice to what the restaurant used to be.
It’s just ok. For the price it should be good! I wouldn’t recommend. I’ve at a lot better food in New Orleans. This was disappointing.
Very disappointing experience for a celebrity chef restaurant. Both of us ordered the buttermilk chicken and the highlight of the entire meal was the sweet potatoes. One of the pieces of chicken was raw. Not just pink, but raw. The manager apologized and comped the entrée but it could have been handled so much better. Not at all what we would have expected from Emeril.
Good food and good service.
The waiter did not have a lot of knowledge about gluten free options
Decor and ambiance is a bit like in a hotel. Food quite good. Service fine. But doesn’t stand out in total
The bbq shrimp was good but the rest was very disappointing. The pasta wasn't cooked evenly and flavors weren't good. Ordered fish as well and the flavors were also off and the portions were tiny. Didn't order dessert because I just assumed it wouldn't be worth the money and calories.
Food was great.
This place is awesome! Had an amazing date night Saturday night and the food was amazing!!!🔥🔥🔥
We do not enjoy. No just waited too long but also , de food was not good. Marlenne C
We were expecting more after following the Emeril cooking series.... good quality food but no BAM!
Everything we ordered was done to perfection. Wait staff was very attentive. The only thing I would change is to space out the tables some more
Wonderful restaurant to dine! Great food! Great service! Great ambiance!
I was very excited to come here and disappointed. The food was average and I wish the wait staff was friendlier n more attentive. Our waiter never smiled at us or the other tables. He acted superior and that he was doing us a huge favor by waiting on us. My guy’s steak was raw! Not med rare. Jiggly cold in the center raw. He sent it back n came back well down n overcooked. We go often to New Orleans and I would not recommend this restaurant. Also they did not have the wine I wanted on the wine list. Instead they recommended a wine that was $80 more!
Great food and service as always.
Great food. Our waitress gave us restaurant recommendations. 10/10
Awful in every way, I don’t want servers to shout at me and state the obvious, I’ve dined our before.
My daughter and I were excited for an opportunity to dine at one of Emeril's restaurants. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the hype. Service was phenomenal. The staff were attentive, replacing drinks as needed, answering questions about food restrictions, and were what made the experience so positive. The food was decent, but not phenomenal like one would expect when paying a $170 check. If you are in town to grab a really good cocktail, while receiving great service, then I would recommend you visit NOLA. But, if your visit is all about the food, I could not say the value meets the cost.
