Nola - Palo Alto
The party stretches out over three floors, with seven different funky dining areas. Nola has one of the largest collections of Southern folk art on the West Coast. Come check out what Fortune magazine voted as "the hottest bar in the Silicon Valley." Welcome to the party--grab a Hurricane, a group of friends, wrap yourself in our mardi gras beads and “Laisser les Bon Temps Rouler!!”

I love this place! Food is great, and drinks are awesome! Only issue on this visit was the large gap of space between first getting, drink order, finally receiving our drinks, and food order. Our server was major slow between all these points. But once we got our food, she did keep the mimosas and bloody Marys full
Very good food but very small portions, value could have been better.
We liked the cajun food, and would recommend to friends.
Fun place. Great drinks, fabulous food. Real authentic New Orleans ambiance.
Service still varies from great to flaky, the food is good, but far from anything real Cajun; and the drinks are so so (terrible Hurricane, some really good other cocktails).
Fun place, great food, good service, can be a bit loud.
Brunch was delicious! Will definitely be back again. Love the artwork and vibe. One of my favorite places in the area.
Good food, great service and lots of fun.
We took our family there for mother’s day and it was really fun.
Overall it was a good experience except that our rice was not cooked in one of our dishes. Tae next to us had the same issue but they sent their dish back.
Dropping our son off for a summer internship. He loves Cajun food. It was the perfect, festive place to celebrate a really cool opportunity for him. Everything was wonderful- food & atmosphere
Loved the scenery of the restaurant. It was busy but not slammed when I was there. The food was fantastic! Highly recommend.
Nola is always the best!!! Love the food, service, decor! Top notch!!!
Food and service was amazing. Only concern is that it‘s hard not to eat too much! Fun atmosphere and NO design.
My party and I absolutely enjoyed NOLA. This was my second time visiting the restaurant and I can say I was as amazed as I was the first time I visited.
Slow service. Food was fine. The Chilaquiles were a big hit and recommended by everyone on staff. Service at the bar was great, everything slowed down when we moved to meet the rest of our group at our table.
Early afternoon on a Saturday with friends. Would have gone for something more extensive (e.g., gumbo, etouffee, etc.) than what was offered per the “brunch” menu. Still, enjoyed the endless mamosa, Bloody Mary, etc. on a nice afternoon on the patio by the fountain
The very first time I went to Nola was over 18 years ago. I loved it and returned many times and enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. This past Saturday was the first time after 5 years because I moved. Sadly I was underwhelmed by the service, starting with the hostess who didn’t seem very happy as she greeted us. The wait person seemed nice in the beginning but after we ordered she never checked to see how we liked our food, and when I ordered decaf coffee she said they may not have it and would it be ok if it were regular. I said that’s fine but when she brought it out, she didn’t indicate whether the coffee was decaf or regular, and I had to ask for my cream as she did not ask how I take my coffee. As my friend and I enjoyed our dinner and dessert, the manager (?) asked if would not mind moving to another table upstairs because a bigger party needed to be seated. It made us uncomfortable and unwelcome as there was another nearby party that were there before us and were never asked to give up their table. I left the restaurant wondering if they thought they could ask us to give up our table because we were 2 older women? The food was good, by the way, but I’m not sure if I’ll ever return. I’m very sad, I always had wonderful service and a nice experience at Nola many times before. It seems to have changed.
I like this place only because of its ambiance. The food and the cocktails are OK but expensive for no reason. They make everything spicy which kills all the tastes. The portions are small. I recommend this place for having a cocktail with a small bite and socializing but not for dining.
Chicken while spice made it tasty the meat was very dry and over cooked
Gotta love Nola for the food and the drinks. But their service is slow and unresponsive. The day we ate dinner there, the restaurant wasn't even crowded and yet the service was super slow. They took 20 mins to just get us water and another 15 to get our drinks.
Service was great! Ambiance was fantastic! Food was superb!
Dont make a reservation, putting your fate and dinning experience in the hands of these snotty hosts backed by a full of herself mngr is Not the business. Now the server was great! 5 stars she moved us from a flimsy corner table ware we were punished to a nice big open table ware we spent extra money filling it with drinks and food. Shame on the bettys at the helm. Food was good skirt steak awsome but for fried chicken its still all about hardknox, drinks were great! Bar atmosphere is on point big happy going on here. Not a good first date if you dont want her to see your pounding the bottle because this place will bring it out of ya. Limited menu could spruce that alottabit and half the yelp pictures no longer exists on the menu. Id say drinking is what they want there patrons to do.
The food was excellent, drinks were good, with the only drawback being that we were trapped in an echo chamber with a large party of "cheerful" people which at times made it impossible to converse.
Great service and good food!
Seems like all the food has changed the bbq shrimp is now tangy and has tomatoes before it was delicious, they used to have the best jalepeno cornbread now it’s just a average cornbread now. And the jambalaya was supposed to be crazy hot and wasn’t hot at all.. it used to be my favorite restaurant but not no more they must of got a new chef and changed there amazing recipes.
Easter brunch. Good place for it and nice vibe
WE ENJOYED OUR EXPERIENCE. WE LOVE NEW ORLEANS AND THIS HELPED US GET A LITTLE FEEL OF IT.
Attentive service, festive ambiance and interior design, decent tasting foord
The service was so slow, the waiter rarely checked on us and got one order completely wrong so we had to wait for that to be fixed. Some of the food was good like the crabamole but many of the things with bread of some kind were hard, the French toast, English muffin for eggs benedict and the beignets(which were the worse beignets I’ve ever had) were all tough. Drinks were good. Overall not a good experience unfortunately.
Service was great! Our waitress kept the mimosas coming!
The food wasn’t all to great and very small potions. The crab dip was amazing and so were the chicken sliders.
Poor service, appetizers were served after the entrees and we felt like pushed out by the waitress.
The service was OK, but the food was just awful. We had a 730 pm reservation on a Friday, so it was hard to understand why, when our dishes arrived, they did not seem fresh. The cornbread was old, dry, disgusting, clearly had not been made that evening, and probably not that week. The food is not cheap, and with it being mostly inedible, I just can't recommend this place to anyone.
Nola’s has a great vibe, lots of energy. There were 5 of us for dinner. We all found our meals delicious. The service was excellent from beginning to end. We also were celebrating a birthday. They had a special dated birthday menu that could be kept as a souvenir. All in all, Nola is a great choice!
Good food, good vibe. Expensive for the portion sizes but the food quality is good.
No one was there to great us
Food and service excellent. Have to come back and try many more dishes! Menu variety looks great!
Went with a few friends to celebrate a birthday and it was the perfect place! Very popular but not overcrowded, the food was perfect and our birthday dessert was free and their most popular dessert-the bread pudding! Will go back in a heartbeat
We were celebrating our recent wedding and they had custom menu’s printed out for us!!
We love this place! Brings us right back to New Orleans! Their crab garlic bread is to die for!
